On a rainy night during the Joseon Dynasty, a high-ranking official casually recites a poem full of loneliness. The source of this covert loneliness is a fellow lower-ranking official, Hong Hyun. Politically, they often quarrel, taking opposing positions, but personally they long for each other. A daring and poetic account of a forbidden gay relationship in the Joseon Dynasty. Story----It's the first korean gay movie and i was so so suprised how good it was...Of course there were some bad moments...But it was okay since this movie wasn't supported at all...The story is unique for me and possible-to-happend because in past ages those relationships happend often so i was happy that finally someone make the hystory come to life!
Actors-----The actors..hmmm chemistry was a bit stiff here because they knew what are they risking but it wasn't completely off so i had no problem while watching this!^_^
Music----No no no big no..There was boring music almost non of it so big dissapointment for me!
Rewatch value---I keep rewatching this very often since i love the theme of the movie and i love almost all yaoi made movies/shows.So when i'm in mood for live action yaoi i always watch this!

Secret Passion
It’s a simple film but very classy and sensual. It’s only 13 minutes so it gets to the point quite quickly. Recommend for someone wants to unwind with some historical gays.I’m not sure why this is rated 18+ though, they showed a nipple and nothing more. The language was also not explicit. If the perfume ads I see are more sensual than this shouldn’t they be “18+” too? Baloney. This was MILD compared to recent BL. I’d rate this 16+ in my gracious opinion.
For anyone confused on the ending, “A Crimson Mark” is the hickey that the chancellor leaves with the scholar during their affair. The chancellor, obviously embarrassed by it, becomes attracted to the idea seeing it a second time. The mark is the representation of how taboo their passionate relationship is.
