This drama is light heart-ed fun. I liked the drama initially, but later on I just lost interest, though I can't pinpoint any one reason for it.

Unlike what the name implies, I didn't find anything that romantic about the story or the princess. The princess was more like a child, even with all the fancy clothes. Maybe it was Angela Zhang's petite frame that made me feel that.

Even so, there were things that I appreciated about this drama:

For one, blessedly, there is no love triangle. Which has to be mentioned because the there are four boys in the place when Xiao Mei comes in.

That's the next thing- The actors are good. Almost all the characters in the drama are very interesting and fun.
The four guys,(besides being eye candy)each have good roles.
The grandfather, butler, Xiao Mei's parents are all great characters that add a lot of fun.
Refreshingly here, the grandfather, even when he is being tyrannical, comes across as adorable and with a sense of humor.

The story, is obviously over the top and has holes in logic, but they do try hard to keep up the logic most of the time.

Overall, I guess if what you need is just time pass with some laughs, Romantic Princess might do it for you.

Even it is a really ordinary drama I think it's a touching drama that can make you cry.
I'm just the girl who likes lovestories - and if you like that too it really is worth to watch.
If you like good-looking taiwanese actors, too.
The serious scenes often are too long, but there are also very funny scenes.
Sometimes the characters aren't that authentic but they are lively. The Opening Music is from 'Fahrenheit'

It's(not only)a lovestory, that is foreseeable from the beginning, but you know: The journey is the reward.
That shy love between Wu Chun and Angela Zhang is heart- thrilling to watch! It's this 'One-and-only-forever-love'.

I watched this for Wu Chun and he's the ony thing that kept me going till the end. It was really cheesy and I found most of the characters irritating. (Wu Chun and Calvin were okay.) I didn't sympathize with the main girl and the plot twists didn't do anything for me. There are a few cute and funny moments, but they were few and far between. Worth watching once if you're a Wu Chun or a Calvin fan.

I really liked this drama. It really reminded me of Boys Over Flowers. The only thing that I didn't like was the ending. But all in all it was a pretty good drama!

So I didn't have high expectations for this drama to begin with, because it was obviously a sort of sappy story, with a girl struggling to come to terms with her new family arrangement and adjusting to a different society and lifestyle, but there didn't seem to be much of a transition in Xiao Mai's attitude from being a pauper to a princess. It was pretty strange. Her acting didn't seem genuine and the supporting roles didn't help to save the show much either. Overall, its pretty disappointing, the plot goes from one place to another. She wants to help Jin fulfil his dreams, but when it comes to bringing in the dough, she can't seem to go out and get a job, even though she was portrayed as a super hard-working laborer when she was poor. The story wasn't great and the execution of it didn't do much to help that.

I downloaded RP some weeks ago, after that I decided to watch it. I was a little bit sceptical about watching RP, after I read some of the reviews and comments on it. But I found some comments about the romance -- which was definitely worth it. I've read the synopsis over and over again, I've practically lost count.

The acting is nothing spectacular, is simply cute and funny. The strong point of RP is the romance. The romance is really cute, that you would wish to have such a romance ---- I'm still a little dreamy about the romance between Angela Chang and Wu Zhun. Some characters were well developed.

The OSTs were great also... After I finish writing this review, I'm off to download the OSTs. It's worth it. The only issue I have with RP is the ending, the ending wasn't satisfactory enough, some few mins would have done the trick.

In other words, it's a drama coupled with comedy, comical acting and romance and you will surely have a good laugh, that I'm 100% sure of.

Story- Really interesting plot but nothing too different. The ending is so abrupt. Very cute drama.

Acting/Cast- The leads are hot and have cute chemistry. However, thier acting is only passable. Mo Li seems to be the only one who could act.

Music- Amazing! The songs go great with the emotions and feel of the show. The theme song is so effing catchy. Love it!

Rewatch- I\''d rewatch this again because the story is so good.

Overall- The cute story and music are the shows savior. The acting ruined the potential for awesomeness as a whole.

One of the better dramas I've seen. Interesting to see a romance show without a real love triangle too, which made quite a change. The story was surprisingly good, with a lot of variety and enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. It features one main love story, then one sub-plot, which doesn't get too much attention. In fact, the supporting cast could have had a lot more - since there were some really great characters. I definitely feel like the show could have used a few more episodes to really get to grips with everyone - I'd even go as far as saying it would be great if it were double the length! But unfortunately the rather premature ending leaves a lot of loose ends, which is a real shame.

Like many dramas, it's effectively split into two parts, although the second 'half' is quite rushed. Things are predictable at times, but quite intriguing at others, so it definitely kept me watching until the very end. Character development suffered a little, with only the leads making much progress. Some of the supporting cast get a little bit, but it all feels a bit shallow and forced.

The acting was generally quite strong. It seemed a little weak in the first few episodes, but it got exponentially better as it went along. Casting was also really well done and the only issue I can really think of was Eric Li, who wasn't very impressive.

For once, I know enough about the music to pass comment. I found it really good. A lot of classical pieces, mixed in with some modern, up-beat songs, which was a nice balance. The editing wasn't perfect at times, but it was bearable. I'd definitely need to go back and rewatch it to find out some of the songs used, since they were pretty catchy.

Rewatching in general though... maybe one day. It wasn't the greatest show, but the characters and plot were interesting enough to make me want to see it again at some point.

At the end of the day, I'd definitely recommend it. The main problem really lies in the fact that there were just not enough episodes, so that should clue you in as to whether it's any good or not!

I am soooooooo glad that the writers thought of the twist, i did not see it coming. I loved it. I usually start to get bored after the relationship between the main characters develop, but this was very entertaining.

I think they made the main guy a little too girly at times, but love Wu Chun still.

All in all, it was a well thought of show.

Good Job

xoxo
