Luead Mungkorn: Suea (2015)

After watching several lakhorn series, I had my doubts about this one. But after reading a review I decided to give it a shot. I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised by the series. It was actually really good. The plot was so unlike any other lakhorn series that I’ve seen. There was no cheesy moments, no extra dramatic females. No jealous ex. Just straight good stuff. Then chemistry between the leads was absolutely perfect. It has so much emotional depth that you could understand each characters feelings and delima. There was romance, action, tear jerker moments, stress and some hilarious moments (lots). Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an upbeat romantic and often funny series.

Omo, the chemistry, omo! So there are parts of the story that makes no sense but you are so entranced by the chemistry between the two characters and their love story that you can ignore all those illogical plot holes. Who cares about a lapse in logic when these two gaze at each other with such bubbling passion? As it is set in the 50's, you not only have great costumes but these lovely romantic moments where these two dance. As the music swirls, the moon hangs full in the night sky, the waves roll by and these two dance to the faint lullaby of a gramophone on the beach -- absolutely romantic! There is a Romeo-Juliet vibe as the leads find out that their families really hate each other. There is a lot of business wrangling over bird nests but it is really the characters, sets and costumes that shine. Loved that the director chose to use more period-style music which gives the drama a vibe of a setting further in time.

Great chemistry but story line sucks

The synopsis of this drama is not correct. Someone wants to kill the ML Parob and the FL Wanwisa unwittingly saves him. They get stranded on an island and start to fall in love. The main leads families are at first enemies of each other. They don't want the leads to marry. Parob was so much in love in the beginning that he was willing to do anything to marry Wanwisa. The story went haywire after this. Suddenly the fathers became friends and Parob suddenly started hating Wanwisa. He abused her, kidnapped her and told her he would be unfaithful to her as its the nature of the man. He sent his mistress to kick her out of their house! He knew the families were back in good terms and still abused her. When she leaves him, he wants her back and still expects her to love him.

Good watch. Great chemistry ?

The chemistry between the leads was beautiful. He was so into her and just couldn't let her go even when she ended up hating him so much and rejected him and tried to get him out of her life. He just pursued her till the end. But I don't understand why he needed to mistreat her so badly. Maybe because she was stubborn and didn't yield to him or show any love to him that he got so mad with her. Overall enjoyed the show. Felt it was too short. Should have shown them getting married and having kids and show who was the person who was trying to kill him. The ending was hanging with no conclusion.
