I was hesitant about the overall score to give to this movie. I basically loved everything about it, from the plot to the acting to the execution. Possibly it deserves a 10, and I gave it a nine just to retain a right to a higher score in the future.

I wasn't expecting anything less from the same screenwriter of Tatta Hitotsu No Koi, Sunao Ni Narenakute and Orange Days, nor from the same director of Winter Sonata, Sorry I love you and Bad Guy. They both did not disappoint.

The script is delicate and moving. It touches deep chords in the hearts of anyone who has experienced the loss of a beloved one at least once. It talks about the fragile, magic relationship between the living and the deceased: how hard it is to let go, to overcome regrets and remorses while still keeping the memory alive.

The photography is beautiful, it highlights that vague atmosphere constantly suspended between reality and fairy-tale. It helps that the two main leads are both beautiful to watch and just as convincing together. Hero Jaejoong might not be yet ready for complex line deliveries, but he's very expressive and, let's face it, a pleasure for the eyes. Han Hyo Joo, on the other hand is brilliant here, bringing up the joyful side this movie would otherwise lack.

I think I've written enough. If you are willing to watch a movie which combines the Japanese delicacy and the Korean intensity of emotions, give this one a try.

This is one of the most beautifully shot movies I have yet watched...
You know, I watched this movie first time a year ago, and rated it 7, and when I rewatched it yesterday, I was socked how I could have 'insulted' this movie that much, maybe I can say I was not attentive enough during my first watch (though that's a lame excuse, as yesterday my eyes were glued to the screen)... Let's say I wasn't in the right state of mind for this movie at that time... I am glad I suddenly decided to rewatch it yesterday.
The cinematography is so perfect, there were scenes my breath was caught somewhere in my throat... The colors (if you decide to watch it just download it, and preferably HD, the bigger the file, the better, trust me) were driving me crazy! The hill on which they placed the mailbox became one of the places I want to visit before I die, it's the most beautiful, peaceful place! The way they shot it at least made me want to go there, sometimes it seemed I could even see the wind blowing the grass and the hair of two lonely characters standing there...
The plot is simple, and honestly I didn't need more complicated, as the scenes were so rich visually, other complications were unnecessary...
Acting is wonderful! As a big fan of Han Hyo-Joo, one more time came to adore her character.
First thing about JaeJoong I noticed was his husky voice, which drove me crazy, I was WAITING for him to talk... I think he was a perfect person to portray JaeJoon...
The music is very complimentary to the movie, perfect match... calm, relaxing and light...
Also the symbolic meaning of the movie adds to it value so much more... White lies to help people, is it right or wrong? Teaching a lesson by making the person to look at life from a whole another angle of life... Learning how to withstand the difficulties of life from zero... falling in love after being hurt...falling in love...^^

I had my hopes up, but they weren't fulfilled.
May be because I'm not into so serious stories.
It was fine, but too serious. I didn't cry, I didn't laugh. Only smiled at the end.
Fortunately, the end came out better than I thought I would be. I srated to unlike the strory as I found out who he really was. (On the other hand, if he hadn't been who he was, the movie would have lost it's main point I guess) But they drew out the ending just fine.
I loved those scenes in nature and I liked the music.
The main male actor was cute and I love his voice.
I think, that I start liking that movie more as I have closely felt the pain as I lose someone close. As I haven't yet, this story didn't touch my heart as much as someone else's, I guess.
Anyways, if you feel like you need to watch a serious move about losing someone (with an happy ending though), this is just for you. :)

I was a little hesitant to watch it at first, because when I read the summary i thought it would have a really cheap and shallow plot, oh boy was I wrong.
I got a bit confused at first, but then everything became clear as it went on, with a cleary good acting, it really deserves to be re-watched.
It's really good and captivating
The characters are really well chosen, and the landscapes and places are really beautifull.
The soundtrack was pretty but could have been better in a way.
As expected from this kind of movie, it has a sad and glommy moment, you'll probably see yourself crying in some parts, but of course there's always some cosy moments that warm your heart.

I just finished this movie and I wanted to quickly write my impressions about it while the emotions are still fresh. For starters, the movie has a quite interesting story and it attempts to go for the angsty, emotional, almost poetical type of romance between a normal girl and a what you could call a spirit. It's something that I found very catchy as a fan of these spirits-humans interactions and the line between their worlds, however when I started it my expectations slowly started to drop. The introduction is very short, the development is very fast. In other words, I wasn't really able to grasp the main setting or general idea of what I was watching right away to just manage to feel more involved during the middle point and through the later part. It was too fast for me to even start and feel attached to the two main characters so the emotional impact during the end was affected a lot as a consequence. But I couldn't bring myself to dislike it, maybe because I'm into these concepts, maybe because of Jaejoong or simply maybe out of my curiosity to understand what was going on. There IS something that makes you want to keep watching, so I give the story a 7 for originality (I didn't yet see a postman delivering letters to paradise xD...Though I hoped that part to have been more developed too...). Overall, I consider that it shouldn't have been a movie at all. 6 episodes maybe were enough to make it into a masterpiece, in my opinion, but definitely an almost 2 hours movie was just too short.

Acting wise, I have nothing to really complain about Jaejoong. He isn't the best out there, that's for sure, but he was good enough for what he was trying to bring out in Shin Jae Joon: mystery, angstiness, puppy faces. I wish that his past would have felt more as "a fact" rather than just an add, however. I didn't even once have the impression that he changed because of Ha Na, nor that he was ever the way he was portrayed in his flashbacks. I just didn't see this development he went through, maybe because of the time limit. I can't say. Now, I had a very big problem regarding Ha Na's actress and that's her acting. I felt that her reactions were very forced, her crying were just sounds with no tears and her laughing was simply unnatural. I don't know if that was for comedy purposes but it failed eitherway for me, I'm sorry to say...

I think that part of the OST was written by Jaejoong right? I felt like I could hear his voice during one particular song in the moments that mattered and I can say that it did a pretty good job.

I might rewatch it just to be able to understand more the things that happen in the second part of the movie, I guess it's adviced if you really like these type of stories. I'm sure that there is always something that we might have missed.

Overall, a 7 is what it deserves. I hear people say that it's overrated. Maybe a bit, but it's not horrible either. There is a certain sweet almost bittersweet feel that keeps lingering even after the ending. I hoped for it to have been a bit different, but as an incurable romantic, I can't say I disliked it.

This telecinima was wonderfully written and beautifully executed. One I could watch a thousand times and never tire of. I found it to be very touching and I was crying a lot. Some aspects seemed confusing in the beginning but as the story progresses they work themselves out. The two leads had wonderful chemistry as well. Overall it was one of my favorite movies next to Nineteen.

Beautiful. That's the first word in my mind after watching this movie.

After reading the reviews and summary, I was like, yeah. Maybe it'll be nice to try it myself. I never regretted my choice. This movie, totally exceeded my expectations. With its genre of fantasy and romance, everything fits into place so perfectly. A simple, yet a story with impact. I was so inspired.

Story-wise, the plot is very understandable. If you're expecting action you'll be throughly disappointed. However, if you'll need something calming after a tired day, this was the movie for you. It was straightforward, but believe me, you'd be glued to every scene. The scenery is disbelievingly breathtaking and calming.

The cast did a good job. At first I wasn't quite taken by Hana's (Han Hyo Joo) cheerfulness, but after a while, I found that her personality totally lit up the bright side of the story. Paired with JaeJong's (Kim Jae Joong) silent yet expressive character ...

The music. This is the best part of the movie. One of the best, most mind-inspiring soundtracks. Every chord stuck deep into my soul. You can totally relate back to the scenes in the movie when you listened to it. Each pieces was so soothing, they made the movie timeless.

Overall, I'm satisfied with it. There was something comforting within the movie, and a strong message for all of us. Totally recommended.

A very low key movie - fairly refreshing if you're like me and watch dramas almost non-stop. I just love how subtle the whole thing felt. The pace of this film is like a slow walk with your favorite person in gorgeous weather, or I should say with gorgeous photos of the sky, and fields, and a mailbox. And I love how the pinnacle of the drama revolved around the man who takes those photos. Lovely story.

I watched this movie out of curiosity. The poster caught my attention a long time ago and since then I have been thinking about it on and off. I really had no expectations from this film.

While I liked the story and the imagination of the writer, most of it was kind of slow. It is shown in a daydream kind of way and after finishing it only one word came to my mind- fairytale. None of the elements of this movie are realistic and they had all the elements of a fairytale- including the happy ending and the sad parts. I expected a sad ending but it was good enough.

The last fifteen minutes are terribly cheesy and they had me laughing out loud. And their little missions were also very uninteresting. I just put on the movie while I did my homework along with it. Hardly any of it was compelling enough such that I couldn't do my work and had to watch it obsessively. That didn't happen.

Overall, it is just an alright movie. The main guy is quite handsome and I was mostly hanging on to watch him. Otherwise, I would have stopped it midway because it was quite slow in that part. It is filled with scenes attempted at tear jerking and sappy romantic moments. If you like this genre, it's the one for you.

This is, by far, my favorite movie ever.

I have to admit, the reason I watched it in the first place was for Jaejoong, but it ended up exceeding far beyond my expectations.

The story line is so great and really impacting. This movie has everything: humor, sadness, happiness, romance. It's great!

And can I just touch on the actual visual part of this movie? Every scene is absolutely beautiful, especially the field scenes. WOW!

This movie was so good, as soon as I saw it, I had to order the DVD, ha. By now, I've watched it at least 10 times and it STILL hasn't gotten old. And I still cry because of it, too. :P

Overall, I couldn't have asked for anything more of this movie. I honestly can't think of anything negative to write. It's fantastic and I highly HIGHLY recommend it.

I think the story was simple and easy to understand.. and touchy, so cute and magical.

I don't know why, but somehow I could feel those memorable moments. It's like I was there!

I don't know how they did it but that's how I felt while watching.

Definitely gonna rewatch this alone and quiet time.

I decided to watch this movie because of the leads... Jaejoong and Han Hyo Joo. And I'm glad I did 'cause it exceeded my expectations by far. The cinematography is top-notch, so are the locales, the story, the execution and the subtlety in depiction of emotions. Although the romance between the characters develops a bit too soon...liked the ending.
