Attack on the Pin-Up Boys (2007)

For a normal viewer (one who is not familiar with K-pop/Super Junior), Attack of the Pin-Up Boys will make absolutely no sense. The story is about a bunch of boys who become popular after being hit by a bag of crap (?), I mean come on! BUT, for Suju fans, this movie is a must see. It is comprised of the boys we love most, acting as various stereotypes of male high school students. Basically, an ELF's dream come true. This movie is light and fluffy with several hilarious moments between the members. I also just wanna say, character wise, do not underestimate any of them-each of them have their own little.. quirk (some of which may actually be true in real life XDD) So, my advice for those who want to watch this: sit back, relax (DO NOT EAT WHILE WATCHING THIS-) and enjoy. Emphasis on enjoy: do not attempt to use your brain.

I watched this movie when I started to take interest in Super Junior so I didn't really know who was who back then. I knew they had many members and I knew the names but not the faces. So I've found the movie incredibly helpful. But this is not relevant at all.

The Attack... is crazy. Funny. Absolutely entertaining. The point of the story is NOT that: Here's is Super Junior bow down unworthy trash and drool stupid fangirl.

Attack... has an actual plot and the boys are acting very well. Okay... they are practically making fun of themselves but they are still very good. Especially Ryeowook and Kangin.

Considering this is an idol movie and that it seen mostly by the fans and ohmygodeastasianhumor! it is very good. I've seen it at least 5 times already and I still find it funny.

It's worth a watch. And more. They are after all all "Wonderboys".

Attack on the Pin-Up Boys is funny, entertaining and cute. They manage to give most of the members of SJ enough time on-screen to satisfy some of the fan's expectations. Even if I'm a little bit biased, I can honestly say that if you are looking to enjoy 81 minutes of your day, to relax, without judging, just loosing yourself on a bit of fun, then this movie is for you.



Bottom-line, though, if you don't know much of Super Junior, you may not enjoy it as much. Until a week ago, if I had seen this movie, I might have just given it a 6 (Good) and never watch it again. I, mostly, knew about "Sorry, Sorry" and "Bonamana"...when M&D came out a friend insisted I watch Super Junior Full House.



So, if you don't know much of SJ and want to really appreciate this film, my advice is to get the crash course by watching Super Junior Full House (there's also Explorers of the Human Body, but I haven't seen that one yet) and then watch Attack on the Pin-Up Boys. After all, it will be 81 minutes of your life, you might as well enjoy them (^_~)

Honestly, the only reason any one watches this is because of Super Junior which is a TOTALLY OK reason to watch this. Don't walk into it thinking it's a masterpieces just because SuJu is in it. Now don't not watch it because it has a low rating, it's definitely worth watching especially if you don't expect too much out of it. The story line is simple and relatively easy to understand--the Siwon/Ryewook electrical fingers notwithstanding--and it's relatively enjoyable to watch (even more so if you are a SuJu fan). You might rewatch it from time to time as it is a light hearted movie and it's a great way to pass the time and have a few laughs. Go into it without expecting anything from it and you might find you actually enjoyed it!

Story: If you’re a Super Junior fan you’re going to love this. The plot sounds funny and immediately drags you into watching the movie. I was a little disappointed. The characters were so exuberant I couldn’t help but dislike them. At times the acting felt forced or as if they weren’t trying. Not just the members of Super Junior, but minor characters too. A lot of the comedy seemed over exaggerated, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t laugh. Because I did, a lot. And I LIKED IT, a lot.

Music: A pretty good OST, I listen to it quite often.

Cast/Acting: As I said earlier it could have been better. That doesn’t mean the acting was bad, because it wasn’t. They were pretty comical.

There's no so much story in this movie. The story revolves around the Super Junior members getting attack by poop and desperately wants to "be attack" due to stardom. Even though you are not Super Junior fan, since they are super cutie and sexy, I think you will still enjoy watching this as it is funny.

Very entertaining and I giggled everytime my favorite Hong Dae was on scene *kyaaa*, I'm also wondering who is the member who wore the Panda suit the entire movie! And yeah, he is a cutie too! I was laughing when they revealed it at the end, forcing him to show his face in the camera *lmao*.

I especially love the end part where all the Super Junior dance and sing.

It is something to see when you just want to fangirl and relax a bit.

Seriously, this movie has no story. It's just eye candy treat for hardcore ELFs. So, if you love Super Junior then this is for you otherwise don't even bother reading my review. :D

I enjoyed this movie. A lot. It had no dull moments. The humor was over-the-top and at times gross, yet so funny. I love that all my SuJu favorites were in this one minus Kyuhyun :( and excluding the little appearance by Leeteuk at the end as Panda (is that even true?).

The most hilarious of all was Heechul. His role suited him lol. Sungmin's appearance was also very funny in this. He is so cute.
Siwon's character also made me crack up. BTW glasses suit him well. Kangin as the Judo champ with Eunhyuk as his sidekick was epic. Of course, the cutest was Donghae and he had the typical "boy next door" look in this movie. I loved the part where he says to himself, "I'm handsome too" and I was loling at the screen saying out loud "Of course you ARE!!" :P

I am giving the acting a full 10 because they made me laugh. I love the boys.

What am I even talking about, right? Only SuJu fangirls will understand what I'm saying. Anyway if you don't mind slapstick humor this movie is just that and whether you know SuJu or not won't matter. Just watch it. It's a brainless one hour and fifteen minutes of pure fun!!

Perfect for ELF to watch :-)

A very funny story that suits for SUJU hehehe. If you're a fan of SUJU then you must watch this, especially if you miss them.
The story is very simple and funny. The message of the this movie is at the song at the end of the movie. If you're a teenager/high school student who loves SUJU and feeling down, this movie may encourage you to keep going and keep trying on your teenage life. Keep looking what you want to do in your life and don't give up.

The song is very encouraging.

Suju is really talented, they can sing, dance and act.

I will watch this again whenever I miss all of them.

First of all, I'd like to say that I'm not really an ELF but I really like Super Junior. When you don't like or don't know them, this movie might not be the right one for you.

The movie was hilarious! At first I thought it would be something like a SJ promotion but it really wasn't.

Both the story as well as the characters were really unique and hilarious! :D The acting was pretty good as well, especially Kibums!

It was really fun to watch it and I really want to rewatch it! ^^
