I am not exactly sure what this movie is trying to say. I came away from it not really enjoying anything about the hour plus I spent watching it.

It wants to be a slice of life of four girlfriends trying to find their way after college but it gives you no real story trajectory and no one to really identify with or root for.

I see the conflict of four girls sort of drifting apart after college but I never got a clear picture of why they felt bonded in the first place or what there reasons would be to fight for their friendships. The writer gives you nothing tangable to hang onto. The angst seemed forced and unreal. The girls each had real problems but the way they were presented to me made their reactions to these problems seem petty and selfish.

The acting wasn\''t bad but the story was uninteresting. If I pause a movie to go wash the dishes...something is very wrong. I am not sure why I finished actually.

Hmmm.....I'm kind of disappointed with the movie and I liked it at the same time. Disappointed because I was very confused about the whole plot of the story. What were they trying to say? The whole story is supposed to be about how four best friends try to find their way of life after they graduate college but somehow they didn't really portray enough events to really make you understand what was going. It was kind of confusing too. I expected more since they said it was the korean version of Sex in the City. Although I was disappointed, I still very much liked the characters and how the actors and actresses played them. I envy the girls in the movie. It's nice to have someone there to talk to and share each others pain like what true best friends do. I still really expected more from the movie...

Okay so this is my first review I don't really know what to say ^^
So I just finished Little Black Dress and I actually had a very good time. This is not the best story ever (actually it's not very original) but the cast is really good in my opinion.
If you don't know what to do, it's a good movie to watch :)
I really had fun watching it, and it depicts life very well, with either positive and negative points.
Their friendship is really true, and I was sad when they were sad and laughed at their unfunny jokes... It's not very profound, but it shoxs friendship the way it is so that's why I liked it !

This movie is basically a chick flick. I am kind of surprised that I enjoyed watching this. There was zero originality in the story and it borrowed heavily from all big Hollywood movies, especially Sex and the City. The four girls were exactly like Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte. They even went as far as making the main character a writer just like Carrie and one of her friends exactly like Samantha- open and promiscuous. Their friendship had a Sisterhood of Traveling Pants touch to it and the glamour in this film reminded me of Gossip Girl. I am sorry for taking these names, but it was pretty much the same!

Now, as for the story- it is very simple. It focuses on the friendship between four friends and their daily lives. There was nothing out of the ordinary here except a bunch of feminine issues thrown together and made into a movie with good actresses and good fashion. This is mostly a movie to watch when you want to relax. There isn't anything that makes you mad but makes you feel lighter. But ONLY if you enjoy random chick flicks like I do.

Honestly, I am tired of watching movies where somebody gets cancer or they are physically handicapped. At least the writer tried something different for this. This movie is the corniest version of Hollywood chick flicks, but not for Korea. So in that sense, it can be deemed as 'different'.

There is nothing great about the screenplay or direction. It is a no-brainer movie for most part but the issues they brought up were real. Anybody in their 20s can relate to these females. Be it confidence issues, commitment issues or a pregnancy scare- this movie has it all. I suppose the writer wanted to write a relatable plot so he included everything females go through. That part was ridiculous, but at least it entertains you. The movie is boring in some parts but the rest of it is alright.

I'd say this is pretty good for a one-time watch. I don't know if I would watch it again or not, but I still liked it. It is definitely my favourite Korean chick flick. I don't know why so many people hated it but I would say it is not that bad and go ahead and watch it.

To put it bluntly, I\'\'m disappointed in this film. If this is supposed to accurately reflect the concerns and lifestyle of the average 23 year old female recent college grad, then the media is not far off when they declare my generation to be a petty, superficial, and selfish bunch.

After the climactic fall out between the friends, Yoo Min (Yoon Eun Hye) reveals to Min Hee (Yoo In Na) that she doesn\'\'t know her friends as well as she thought she did. The same can be said for this film: it tries too hard to be Sex and the City, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and The Devil Wears Prada, and ends up sacrificing its own identity. Despite its best efforts, it fails to capture either the life wisdom of SATC, the magic of Sisterhood, and the sympathy of Devil.

Supposedly it\'\'s the friendship among the four women that helps them to weather the storm of conflict. However, I found that friendship to be lacking. The first time we see all four together is at a club where they surround a table of drinks and proceed to bet on whether or not Hye Jin (Park Han Byul) will successfully bed a fellow club-goer. Other than that, the story follows the girls individually, reuniting them for a blow-out argument and then at the end for a rather unconvincing resolution. Apart from shopping and clubbing, the movie gives us no insight into why these four are friends to begin with, and without that, I found myself not caring whether or not they remained friends.

The story is ordinary. The acting is okay (I\'\'m beginning to think that Yoo In Na has fallen into the bubbly, airhead typecast). I can\'\'t recall a single song from this movie. Basically, this is a formula chick flick, written and acted by the book. For a chick flick to resonate with me, it doesn\'\'t have to be unique or clever, but it has to have heart; it has to make me feel something. This one is as empty and shallow as the four friends.

Besides being completely disappointed (after waiting for months for it to be subbed), I was confused as to what was the point of this movie. I didn't understand why I was supposed about to care the friendship of these four women since it doesn't give a back story as to how their bond began and developed.

The acting wasn't bad, I actually liked it, but the story was completely ordinary and it didn't hold my interest. The music doesn't really stick with you either.

The only scenes I truly remember are the ones DongHo from U-Kiss is in and I don't think that was what was meant to be remembered from this film.

I won't be re-watching this movie.

Basically its the Korean version of Sex in the City depicting the lives of 4 women. There is no wow factor in watching this. I was not bowled over by the acting. Yoon Eun-Hye was not impressive. Yoo In Ah was her usual sweet character. Would I recommend? Only if you are a super fan of Yoon Eun-Hye and must see everything she is in; otherwise, I think you can skip this! I can recommend much better movies out there.

I liked this movie. It had a good story to it. The issues that were brought up were exactly what most ppl in their twenties go through. The friendship that endured throughout the film made it easier for the lead characters to deal with life. It just shows that having a friend to talk to can make a big difference when we deal with problems in everyday life. The story may not be what most ppl like to watch b/c it is simple but profound. I enjoyed it.

Mmmm...In general, I don't like to write reviews, but I'm going to do it to make this movie some justice.
Its name's Little Black Dress, which can make you think that it's another brainless story about 4 girls running behind a piece of cloth, but actually it isn't.
It's about the so called "twenties crisis" that maybe some people haven't went through, but saddly I did LOL. It's about the stage of your life when everything changes, even yourself, and you have to face life as you can.
The four girls have different personalities, different backgrounds and ways to assume their problems, so it's highly possible that you feel identify with one of the characters or at least with one of the situations that they have to deal with.
All in all, it's not the best movie from 2011 I guess. There're a lot of details missing and some things can be redundant, but if your aim is to be entertained and feel like you're not the only one who has to live with unemployment, love issues and dreams not going true like in fairy tales, I recommend you to give it a try!

I really enjoyed this movie. I don't know why so many people down voted it so much. I really wouldn't change anything about it. The friendship that the girls have grows overtime and through experiences. People are different after college and experience new things, like their jobs and dating. I thought everything was very realistic and expertly acted. I am definitely going to re watch this again and again. I recommend this movie to people who watched and liked the dramas I need Romance, and the woman who still wants to marry.

I was waiting to watch this movie, but it was totally disappointing, the story just don't make sense, the cast was good, but the screenplay was just a mess. In the middle of the movie a was very bodred and I was about to drop it, but I kept watching hoping the movie would be different but it wasn't.Sadly it was just a waste of time.

What a waste of time!! I wanted a small break from my dramas so I thought I'd watch this.
The movie had no defined story, point or plot. I watched it as I like Yoon Eun Hye's acting but this had nothing to offer.
It revolves around 4 girlfriends - their ambitions, life and love. The writer fails to bring this out in a clear way. It all looks badly organized and poorly played.
DON'T waste your time on this!
