Piang Chai Khon Nee Mai Chai Poo Wised (2016)

Arranged marriage, poor woman, jealousy, family problems .. And everything that makes a good melo lakorn you can find in this drama. What make it worth watching? I really liked the way the story came together and the way the characters grew. Ma James did very well as Sattawat (since this is only his third drama) and it was great to watch the chemistry between him and Kimberley (no need to mention that she's an amazing actress with emotional eyes). She did a great job as Anusaniya: a rich heiress who believes that all the men who approachs her, only do this because of her father's money. The character I really enjoyed watching was Mirantee, it's really nice to see a beautiful friendship loyalful dramas ,, She was a good girl with a beautiful heart. The bad were good in their way, but sometimes they are really over the top (it seems normal to be really bad and mad at lakorns). The only thing I really disliked was that the main male protagonist sometimes acted very dumb, he kept making the same mistakes or being too nice ..
If you want to try something melo with a of fairytal love story, this isn't the drama for you. But if you want to try something that makes you think about family matters, or how much you can do for you loved ones (this being good or bad things) or how much can jealousy transform your life .. you can certainly give it a try.
Music: I really like the main leads theme song , but it was the only one that I liked and remember.
Rewatch value: I'll watch it again, not twice a week, but as maraton next time.

If you are familiar to K-C-TW dramas and if you are new to lakorns you'll notice that lakorns are totally different from K-C-TW dramas.. But you'll find them as addictive as them. They don't have a high budget like them but they are not that bad.


Anusaniya ( Kimberley) is the rich girl, Sattawat is a doctor, his mother has got gambling problems, Anusaniya's uncle is in love with her, Sattawat's mother & Anusaniya's aunt in a way arranged them to marry, the dad agrees so they got married without love. As in any drama we do have distrubing characters. Somika was previously with Anusaniya's uncle but he breaks up from her for Anusaniya, this time she goes to Sattawat, she announces her love to him, but the doc has no feelings, Doc has a crush on Anusaniya since he saved her from drawning. It's for sure that Kimberley is a great actress but this type of characters sort of stick on her, she's always the rich, snob girl, though Doctor is not poor but not a chaebol.

They do have on screen chemistry with James. Just like on her previous drama we'll watch her development as she develops she'll realise that she loves Satawat.

Sonika is sometimes going overboard so her character was written excessive, she's a type of stalker
Keep pestering Sattawat. Annusya's bro pregnantes a girl, and she also hate her and she wants her baby to be the only heir of the family, that's what we know until later episodes. It's sort of like Brazilian Soap Operas.


Mirantee is a reporter but also Anusaniya's school friend, she had doubts that Anusaniya would ever recognise her, but yet she has not only recognised her and her name, she also recognised that she helped her when her heel was broken, after that incident Mirante started to help Anusiya.

Their bond got better. Mirante is also in love with the uncle. The actor who plays the uncle Pop Thagoon Karnthip is also quite handsome :))

When he had a accident Mirante was the one who was crying by his bedside. Sonika is the one who's responsible from all bad things happening to Annusiya's family and people around her, it is just jealousy turning into a mad hatter.

Anusaniya's brother's girlf also uses Sonika's addiction obsession on Satawat to hit Anusaniya, but Sonika is the idiot letting people to use her.

There's everything you are looking for, love, romance, action ( not that sort of action but still) kidnapping, cat fight..

At the end we see that uncle understands who he really loves :)

Our couple still pulling each other's hair, it's their way of showing love, aggressive couple. Doc is romantic soft hearted but our girl is bitchy.

Not only the uncle and doc is handsome here, the guy who plays the owner of the furniture company is also hot

Well doc have been doing wrong all the time, while he could silence his wife with a lovely kiss :D

I’ve seen a lot of lakorns in this lifetime and I can honestly say this is one of the better ones I’ve watched. All lakorns are mainly slap and kiss and low quality but they’re old but god, trash but like good trash. This one was no different; he wasn’t necessarily a poor character but she was an outrageously rich character. I liked this one because it did take time for them to evolve and though it was like a switch, it was good vibe between the two. I hated the uncle. Hated the jealou ex. The family was a little over the top but I adored the mains. I adored the reporter too, she was wonderful. I loved the chemistry and the scenes and bond they made in this and I didn’t want to stop watching it; did I skip a little, yeah, I do no matter what but dang, this was a good one and I even teared up a little which is completely rare because lakorns are so cheesy to me. If you can push through the fact that there’s a spoiled girl, she’s kind of annoying, the guy is genuinely too nice for life and not compare this to other lakorns, you’re wrong. They’re all the same but they’re all good in the end.

This lakhorn are the fourth lakhorn produced by Anne and my very first lakhorn watching James Ma on-screen,and i have to say that he is a very talented and handsome actor.This drama are a very intense one,with a passionate hero and heroine,slap-kiss scenes,very much drama,and emotional scenes that made me cry so much.This one are a very beautiful lakhorn and Kimberly as always made a awesome job acting the heroine,she will always be my second favourite after Urassaya.James and Kimberly also had an incredible chemistry,love this lakhorn very much!

Highly recommended take note!
This drama is my no. 1 favorite and thats the reason why i love thai drama been addicted to James and kimmys lakorn my favorite love team too. This drama shows that money cant buy everything even their relationship is full of temptation wat never been surrendered the love to nuth and thats love it is. Believe it or not my 15x to watch this drama and still save on my phone never been deleted.
Satawat: A doctor with a very simple life, he returns from abroad from his medical studies. He is so different from Anusaniya, like the sky vs. the earth. When they marry Anusaniya looks down on him, but he'll win her heart. Love that will accept any condition.

Anusaniya: A hi-so businesswoman and an heiress of a billionaire. She's high class, like a princess on an ivory tower. She falls in love with the ordinary man, Satawat.

Even better on second watch. Excellent writing of characters.

This is honestly one of those reviews that I just had to write after rewatching this again today. This was one of those situations where I forgot that I saw this Lakorn already. I was still pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed watching it the second time around. I think this might have been the first introduction to the leads back when I first watched this and I have since seen some of their other works. They are outstanding actors and I wouldn't mind watching more from them in the future. The presence of these actors on screen is wonderful with little effort needed to create a tense atmosphere. I found these two characters so enduring with so much chemistry.

There is a lot to say about typical male leads found in Lakorn drama land. They are often self-centered and difficult to watch. I think most of you that are reading this and who have seen a few Lakorns know what I'm referring to. That is why I was pleasantly surprised by the sincerity and presence of the ML for this Lakorn. The ML is one of the most well written and unproblematic characters that I have seen without being bland. Don't get me wrong, there are certain Lakorns where bad male behavior is important to the plot of the story. Although there is a place for these kinds of male characters in Lakorns, without degrading the worth of women. The ML for this drama had none of these traits and was generally respectful. For the most part, the ML was more mature than the FL. I feel that even the aggression that came from her was important for the plot and character development. And her actions came mostly from mistrust of people and not a bad personality.

The plot for this story is nothing groundbreaking, but there were a few shocking plot points that made the story unique in its own way. One of the major plot points that are not a spoiler since it is in the summary on MDL is the fact that the FL's uncle declares his love for her. This obviously is a very weird plot device to have in the story, but it honestly made for a weird and interesting story. Generally, the motivations and actions of the characters were quite clear throughout and I understood the reason for the decisions that were made. This is one of the reasons why I was able to finish this story quite quickly on both watches of the show.

I would definitely recommend this Lakorn to anyone wanting to see a beautiful story, well-rounded characters, and beautiful Thai settings. There are a few scenes on a Thai island and it took me back to a holiday I took there 5 years ago. There is really nothing that I can complain about and I enjoyed this series even more on the second watch. This definitely is one of those special Lakorns that you don't get often enough. The ML for this is definitely in my top 5 ML in Lakorns!

When a man loves a woman

Take the English name of the drama for what it says. I started watching Thai dramas in late 2019, this one is by far the best and my favorite. The acting is great, the chemistry between the ML and FL is superb, I love the story (although I wanted to jump in the tv and smack a few people). I would have changed a few things, but overall I really love this drama. There are life lessons in the story. I can’t count how many times I have rewatched it.
James Ma and Kimberley were young at the time of this drama, but their acting was on point. Both are versatile in their acting.

I enjoyed the series. It was sweet and engaging. I found many great aspects to it. The emotions portrayed felt genuine. There was definitely some life lessons that could be learned. To be honest, I liked the the series as well as the ending but I found it difficult to really love it because of the female leads character. I enjoy drama just like anyone else and I can deal with misunderstandings and irritations quite well however the female lead character was really too much for me and she was in every sense an individual who appear to have a superiority complex, lacked trust and looked at others like they wanted what she had. Her character behavior almost made it hard to finish. She trashed the male lead for 90% of the series although it got a little better. This drama carried misunderstandings until the last episodes, which meant you get to watch the female lead be crabby for that long and I do mean crabby.

Really good show

so far i love it. LIKES - Mirantee, she reminds of that friend that you are guaranteed to have a good time with.
-the aunts, Nan particularly. I've seen her in other shows and she can make you hate her, laugh at her then love her. she is cracking me up.
-Nuth, i really like her character. she has flaws and shows them. she is apologetic when she sees her wrong, and she so into her work, everything and everyone else is secondary. even her love life, which i love. she isn't running after a marriage and children. Nothing is wrong with that, its just she's not into it as yet. my girl has career goals!

DISLIKES - Sommika, not the fact that she's the "villain"
nor the actress herself but her character points. i don't have much respect for her type. (sorry if that offends you) she loud, abnoxious, overbearing and overall immature. Shes too playful and is self centered. she didn't need to be ALL of the bad traits at the same time. they could've given something to contend with Nuth. She needs more foundation. I must say the actress acting her is just beautiful women especially when she smiles. i just don’t like how extreme and borderline crazy her character is.
-Another dislike is -they meet up EVERYWHERE. Even before the aunt and mom got involved, the ended up meeting all over the earth. i mean put in a little reality, i know they trying to show that their fated, or destined but that just forcing it at this point. Allow some days to pass.
- Doc, he just stands there while all these women run his life. He need to put his foot down and be more concrete to them.
so far the show is funny, interesting and more mature than some of them. l forgot to put that i like that the women aren't slapping the crap out each other constantly. thats another annoying thing about

Très bon lakorn, à ajouter dans votre collection !

Si vous vous lancez dans les lakorn (si vous êtes un habitué, vous saurez de quoi je parle :) c'est un très bon lakorn pour débutant car les défauts habituels des séries thaï, sont assez légers dans ce drama.

Pour un lakorn :
- réalisation relativement rapide (mais longs plans fixes dans moments émotionnels quand même),
- story pas trop trop mélo,
- les personnages sont un peu exagérés (gentillesse du ML qui frise la bêtise par moments, amour obsessionnel de la FL2, père mafieux, etc.) mais ça passe grâce au talent des acteurs.
- musique supportable.

Mais surtout :
- D'excellents acteurs <3 <3 <3
Je ne parlerai que de James Ma (le ML) qui déchire l'écran, de Kimberley (que je n'avais pas trop aimée dans ses autres dramas, mais qui m'a conquise cette fois), et du ML2 (qui a surement aussi une grande carrière devant lui). La FL2, dans sa folie obsessionnelle, est détestable à souhait, et j'aime beaucoup le personnage de la bestie.
