this is one of the best chinese romantic drama i have ever seen and actually rewatched many times

to start with the cast i think they have done the best job because they have portrayed the best chemistry within the friends and also the lead couple.
the overall story is also very unique about how young people start and achieve their goal.
best friend of the FL the one with short hair is a bit annoying at times because she doesn't think before taking actions
i have seen this drama many times maybe because i have a fantasy of such amazing friends and love-story.
so yes definitely go for this drama you will enjoy it

I kept seeing this drama pop-up for months without really bothering to watch it but oh boy do i regret it now.
This one left me with a feeling of emptiness rarely felt before, there's no over-the-top drama, the main couple communicated and faced problems head on without doubting each other and I just *sigh* it's so simple yet it's brilliant.
I decided to watch the first episode as a way to procrastinate studying for my exams and 30 episodes later I wanted to go back and re-watch it all over again.

The main leads were too perfect but that's just what the story's about - two perfect people meeting each other (although the kiss scenes were a bit...).
There's also a side BL story that wasn't explored as much as I wished but with China's censorship roles I'm not surprised (I ended up reading the translated novel to realise they were in fact together in the book and they were too effin cute)

Overall, it's been less than 24hours and I'm itching to re-watch it just to melt from all that lovey dovey action.

I loved watching this drama! In the beginning i was not interested in watching it as the game concept was quite confusing for me... After lots of recommendations from my friends i decided to watch the second episode and from then on i began to watch episode after episode day and night.
My favourite scenes are:
1. Basketball game, Meeting at the bridge, Ride on the bike and Date -Epi 10&11 - Where his glance at her and introduces her to his friends as his girlfriend
2. Xiao Nai sits next to Bei Wei Wei in class -Epi 5- Also the video contest
3. LITERALLY EVERY EPISODE!! Nai cares for Wei Wei so much 'As long as she's willing to be with me,none of that matters to me.' Epi 22
I think the story line is ok however, they should add more dilemmas so it could be more interesting. To make it even better make more episodes :)
I think they should also make more scenes about Hao Mei x K.O. and Cao Guang x ErXi
The songs in the drama: Just One Smile Is Very Alluring and 主題曲一笑傾城 are amazing songs! I listen to them everyday and still not bored
I am in love with the lead characters Yang Yang,he is so handsome and his acting is complementing his looks and on the other hand Zheng Shuang is so beautiful. They work really well with each other as they have great chemistry. I hope that Yang Yang and Zheng Shuang can be together in real life <3
Overall, It is wonderful to watch and well recommended

I loved this! What a cute romantic storyline! There was no competition or fighting against other women to snatch onto Xiao Nai so that was good for Bei Wei Wei. The only thing that had me confused was did they get married or was the marriage so fast we missed it. I guess in China if you registered your marriage that means you are married so I now understand. The wedding comes after so I guess their wedding is when he dressed her in that beautiful wedding costume. A lot of kissing going on for sure. The actress, Zheng Shuang, is a beautiful actress but I didn't feel the full romantic chemistry with Yang Yang's character. She seemed cold OR maybe I was just focused on Yang Yang such as his eyes. They open and close like Deng Luns. Also, a handsome young actor. Ms. Shuang's acting skills were good. I am impressed with Yang Yang's skills. I see he is successful with different types of dance genres, I will have to check that out. I have to see more of his acting abilities.

This is an honest review of just the drama itself without comparison the novel because I haven't read it.

For me, Love O2O is a light, fluttering, college romance drama. I liked how mature the relationship between Xiao Nai and Bei Wei Wei despite having almost everyone around them against it. They never fought and they were so cute. The story is as predicted, prettiest girl + hottest guy, it is more realistic than the cliche: hottest guy and the ordinary one. I liked the friendships they had with their dormmates, the interactions and the funny scenes they had. Storywise, I'm giving it a 10/10 because I liked how simple and realistic it is, I liked seeing them in love (though they never exchanged ???), I liked the simple complications, the friendships and everything that happened in the story.

For the acting, I liked how Yang Yang portrayed the perfect character Xiao Nai, perfectly. A fictional character set the bar too high again. I'm pretty sure Xiao Nai is everyone's ideal guy. Let's just say the looks and skills are just plus points, the main reason why I really liked him is he is mature, soft, kind, understanding and gentle. Yes he is cold, but it's only to the girls who liked him and that's another plus points! It just shows that he will never look at anyone. Notice how he was to his friends, to his family and even to Beng Wei Wei's friends. He is really perfect!

As for Zhen Shuang, she is really pretty but I don't find it to that extent where everyone is almost drooling at you. She's really beautiful but everyone seems overreacting as if she was an angel that fell. She's also a little stiff and awkward. Plus everyone calls her sexy but I find her really thin? No hate, I love her and I loved how she portrayed the character. I'm just saying the flaw I've noticed. I don't know if it's the actress or the character Bei Wei Wei that didn't win me over.

The music was catchy but it was nice. I kept on remembering Love O2O whenever I insert my USB in the laptop because of the music it made. There was one OST that caught me but it was played in near the end part.

I would definitely rewatch it over and over again. But maybe I'll be skipping the part inside the online game. It was like a story inside a story. There were also a lot of side characters, not that I complain of, but I find it hard to remember that I kept on searching who's who. Until now that I finished all the episodes the only people I can remember are Xiao Nai, Bei Wei Wei, Erxi and KO.

For overall, I was satisfied with the drama. Well there may be few flaws but spending 3 days was worth it.

This will always hold a special place in my heart as the second drama I had every watched. I was just randomly going through Netflix and was like...a Chinese drama that is partly in the video game world? I'm in. I didn't expect this drama to completely take my heart. The acting on Xiao Nai and Wei Wei's part was a little rough; Wei Wei kissed like a dead fish which ruined almost all romantic scenes, and it was super hard to read Xiao Nai, so I had no idea what to expect. But it didn't matter (except for -0.5 from score) because the story actually carried the whole drama. This is the only drama I have actually rewatched and honestly really want to watch again. Xiao Nai, even after all the many dramas I have watched since, remains my Chinese Drama Husband. If you want a cute first love story about a department beauty (WW) and campus dreamboat (XN) who end up falling in love over their mutual love and skill in videogames, as well as an amazing supporting cast featuring Nai's 3 best friends who I want as my older brothers/best friends, then this drama is for you. Everyone that I have recommended this drama to has loved it and recommended it to their friends.

I decided to watch this drama because It was a really popular one in the searches and It also had good ratings. I was really positive when I firstly started to watch the drama but I was a little disappointed. I lost my interest in the drama yet, I completed it. The acting of the actors average. This drama is too sweet. If someone is finding to watch a drama that too sweet and doesn't have much plot twists so this is the best recommendation. I liked this drama because It doesn't had any love triangle. There was no misunderstandings between the male and female leads as they had a lot of trust on each other and they believed each other more than those rumors dur to which their relationship could break apart. This was a plus point of the drama. It was a clean and smooth drama and I guess I liked this drama due to its simplicity. I would surely recommend to watch this drama as they the drama gives a very different message that there could be a love story without any love triangles and all those misunderstandings.

This is my first time watching a Chinese Drama and I do not regret it!! At first, I thought this was some weird show because of its intro/first scene but it's not HAHHAHA. This is a light drama yet it will make sure to give you the romance that you needed. The lead actor, Yang Yang, is sooo good in making the viewers fall in love with him. Also, the chemistry of the leading actors are so great. At first, I am kinda annoyed on the way they talk but it's not a big deal and you will eventually get used to it. I don't know if it's just me but I am also annoyed to some of the characters because they're too cutesy it kinda cringe me sometimes but again, it will not affect the story and this drama is still worth your time. I love this drama so much to the point that I already watched it thrice. If you feel stressed and you need something to brighten or lighten up your day, then this drama will be perfect for you.

Too many thoughts on this drama

Where do I begin? I feel like I have so many thoughts about this drama but I can't list them all without relaying the entire show.

As soon as the theme song began I was like, 'yeah, this is gonna be good.' For the most part I really enjoyed watching it but I cannot say it's one of my favs.

The plot was pretty basic with some minor twists and turns, making it very easy to watch. There are quite a lot of episodes that I think if I had have missed a few, it wouldn't have mattered.

Xiao Nai was such a smooth talker, but the way he looked at Weiwei gave me the feels. And the final episode omg! Also, the way he would kiss Weiwei was like WOW. Like he reallyyyyy knew what he was doing. On the other hand XD, Weiwei kind of always just stood there. I read a review where someone said she looked like a dead fish standing there and now I can't get that out of my brain. Also, why do some actors keep their eyes open???

Weiwei was your pure and innocent typical nice girl. There was something about the actress that kept throwing me off. The way she would sigh and move her eyes over the screen when she was playing the game reminded me of an anime character. Also, every time she spoke, it didn't look like what she was saying matched up with the movement of her mouth (if that makes sense; the sound was disjointed). Maybe I just have a dodgy computer, but I didn't notice this with any of the other characters.

I really liked Weiwei's friend Erxi; she is too cute! I felt so sad and sorry for her when she broke down after everyone kept mistaking her for being Luwei Weiwei. The girls who came to her workplace were so mean. It made me tear up at one point.

I also like all of Xiao Nai's friends. They seemed like really good guys and they were always happy and fun.

I found it very hard to wrap my head around the fact that people can think just because they're married in a game, means that they're into the person on the other side of the screen. Like what? It's just a game. People get wayyyy too invested in it lmao.

Cao Guang is on a whole another level. Like, 'IT'S A GAME!' He got so fixated on the thought that Weiwei was Erxi's avatar. When he confronted Weiwei and she was like, 'bruh, what are you even talking about?' I was lmao like exactly. He's all, 'Why are you two-timing people?' Honey, one - you don't even know her; and two - you're referring to an in-game spouse. A game!!! I just can't.

Boy was I glad when Weiwei bet all of them girls at the meetup and proved that she was Luewi weiwei, and then when Xiao Nai arrives to pick her up. Damn, that was so good!

I thought the game characters were developed well, in the sense that they looked like they were part of a game. If this had have been some high fantasy drama, I would have thought the effects were bad. It really did seem like they were game characters.

I felt like it was a bit cringe at times, especially in the beginning, but it never really let up for me. When Weiwei and Xiao Nai officially met, of course it was going to be a little awkward, but I feel like the awkwardness carried on a for while.

Can we talk about the amount of staring we have to go through? It is just unreal. Minutes on end I watched people staring into one another's eyes. I swear this drama could have been cut down by one whole episode if someone had have done some editing.

I was satisfied with the ending. I liked how it wrapped up in the place where Xiao Nai first noticed Weiwei and we got to see the flashback. That was cute.

Overall, I'm glad I watched this iconic masterpiece, if you will. I feel like I have so many more thoughts but this is enough to share.

-E

this drama is like having yourself drift into your own fantasy world. its like how somebody feels when they play a game. they try to put themselves into the game and pretend to control their characters like how they would in real life. they literally portray that. and they show real life stuff too. real life romance and gaming romance. pretty cool right. let me tell you this the directors went all out for this. they put in a lot of effort. they had to put in effort for both the real world and the avatar world. plus the effects for the fire and water power. and the costumes for the gaming world were the best. you should totally watch this drama.

I really did love the story line and I liked it enough to watch a 2nd time. However, the female lead was really not the right person for that roll. She was cold and stiff and next to Yang Yang didn't seem to really put her heart into the romance. She may as well been kissing a brick. Also the actress playing the part of Arsie was beyond annoying. The remaining cast was outstanding especially Yang Yang who really did such a great job it made me wonder if he wasn't a true computer scholar. I've since watched the Love 020 movie and thought it was really well done considering it was up against a 30 episode series done in an hour and a half. Both the male and female leads did an outstanding job in their rolls. I wish they had made it a little longer.

Let me start by saying that in spite of all the flaws I see in this show, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
The refreshingly strong male and female lead with the lack of any real competition helped me just enjoy the story. For those that are new to Chinese dramas, this is a good one to watch. There is no miscommunication between the leads, which was quite nice. The connection the game brought to the atmosphere deserves a win from me. The development of the characters is not as apparent and arguably not existent but don't let that take anything away from your experience. For what it was meant to be, a lighthearted love story, it did its job.
The OST was refreshing and a pleasure to the ears. Knowing the cast sings it makes it so much better. Some of the songs are super addictive and sort of stick.
Though you can easily pick apart all its flaws, I choose not to. The simple romance and silly bromance combined with the storyline make this a good watch. The rewatch value is also huge in my opinion. But if you are not into romance (that isn't all it is) then this might not be the one for you, though it doesn't hurt to give it a go anyway. I just really liked how the leads weren't fighting over the smallest things and actually understood/supported each other.
I am but a simple mind and so I don't mind taking the extra time to watch something like this. The cast's chemistry, smile, and overall funny moments were enough for me.
