The story contained a lot of lessons, which are realistic, and it was not only focused with the two young student, who happened to get to know each other unexpectedly. I like how the ending left a strong impact to its viewers and somehow it successfully made me feel how weary and guilty the characters are.
The theme of the story was truly melodramatic which was given justice by the cinematography, music, dialogues and even the characters. Everything just fits well, great enough to make me feel what the director and actors were trying to portrait. Probably the reason why I was deeply affected and bruised at the end, so a great kudos for that!
The story was meaningful and realistic to this generation specially to the young ones. Romance was just right, enough to make the viewers feel the connection behind the Minsik and Yejoo. I'm glad it wasn't overly done like a typical romantic movie to attract most of the viewers taste. Like I said, romance was just right for the story plot.
The acting was great! I guess I wouldn't feel as wrecked as this if the actors/actress did not give justice to their characters. Yejoo's character was on point. An isolated girl, who only wanted an acquaintance and comfort. She was only being tough to everyone but she's really a soft and kind hearted. I love to see her smiling at most parts. And, I really like the way she opened up with Minsik. I felt relieved somehow. Minsik's character was also on point. Although, it's somewhat hard for me to describe his personality, I personally think he was locked with his own self, which caused him to restraint his actions, making him like a coward. Most of the viewers will probably hate him, and I did because he just triggered my every nerve! But I honestly felt bad at him more than how I felt bad at Yejoo. The ending was impactful to the viewers and it was strongly addressed to Minsik...
I think the story wanted us to step forward and act ourselves because no one will act for us. Guilt will forever serve us if we acted too late. Also, it tells us that attending Church meetings wouldn't cleanse our souls if we do not act and think accordingly to what was being preached there.
I don't know what else I am missing but this story is too meaningful!

The film brings up dark and realistic issues that happen to so many people everywhere and the responses that can occur. People can mean well deep down and try to showcase that but sometimes when issues occur that seem to big to handle, it can make us confused, shocked, and turn away rather than help which is a sad reality.
I definitely give major props to all the people who took part in making this film! Well done!

Half a movie
I felt like the entire mood and atmosphere of this movie was really great — I loved the quiet darkness of the town, the tension and scariness of the school setting, and this overall anticipation that was building up from beginning to end of the movie. With that being said, I felt like this movie focused on the wrong main character; starting out following the ML and learning about the FL's reputation through his eyes was great (and really different from what I've usually seen) but it started to become clear that the FL's story was more interesting, especially as we saw her character develop.
Furthermore, I feel like this movie ended right when I thought it was hitting the climax, or its most important moments. I understand that since we're following the ML's perspective, an open and unresolved ending just makes sense, but this is when I really wished the story could have switched its point of view and continued forwards.

This movie isn't happy really at all, there are happy moments a few times in movie, but, largely the movie is just showing a really depressing story about a young girl and the boy who lost her as a friend. We are not meant to know what happens at the end because the boy is our main character. He ran away and now it is a little too late to change anything. He realized his mistake too late.
So, in essence this movie was teaching us about regret. He regretted all the things he did do and shouldn't have and he regretted all the things he didn't do but should have. Because I am an American I am not use to the movies where the ending just leaves the main character regretting everything he did. We like to feel happy at the ending of movies and we believe happily ever afters should happen at the end of stories. So, for me movies that end like this leave me feeling depressed or regretting the last two hours I just spent watching this movie. But, for others I know they will not feel that way.
Regret is not something we want to be left with in our lives.
Jinyoung on the other hand was a great actor, and I hope he gets more movies and dramas in the future. Hopefully, movies I can watch without feeling depressed.I am so excited for the JJP comeback at the end of this month!

The relationship of protagonists at first is pretty rocky but once they hung out more, things get adorable and sweet.
The movie is so powerful and leaves you fucked up. The story was welled written and the acting made it even better. I wished there was more romance but it still contributes fine with the plot.
I didn't expect the ending to be like that. The ending got me in a wreck. I really related to the male protagonist at the end.
You should at least watch it for GOT7's Park Jin-young.

A Stray Goat is a depressing film about the realities on prejudice and moral conflicts in a society. The serious and gloomy atmosphere of the film was appropriate to its major theme. The characters were also powerful in delivering the hidden message of the plot. Initially, I was frustrated with the lack of information and uncertainties that the plot had to offer (ie Min-sik's background, Sang-man's innocence or guilt, and what happened to Ye-joo), but later on realized how relevant these are in immersing one's self to the morals of the story. This film goes beyond bullying; it tackles prejudice, apathy, involvement, innocence, and morals of both an individual and the society. All these in the intertwined circumstance of two teenagers.

Don't expect this to be full on action or anything other than a story being told with a specific point.
Why is it so easy for some to condemn others for not being so fortunate in life or to treat someone like a lepar because of being the child of a convicted murderer.
It is not okay for teachers to ignore classroom bullying or teens/adults to be so vindictive towards someone for being the daughter or son of a felon.
Furthermore, it is unacceptable not to protect someone being mentally, physically or sexually abused - hell no! Sometimes you need to approach adults that can be trusted or the police because there are some things in life that are way over one's head.
Of course, if no one can be objective or non-judgemental it makes it harder still.
SPOILER ALERT
The female teenage victim in this had no real support with very limited protection so was quite isolated and all alone despite the brief association with the male adolescent (newcomer) and family member at home.
The newcomer did try to be friends, did have a few fights on her behalf, but he let her down when she needed him the most. If he was capable of taking on the high school bullies - what was one adult male? And then to sit on that incident and not report anything plus the church scene. I get he was young and wasn't to blame, but him not turning up that day and then ignoring her alienated that poor girl even more and likely drove it home in her mind just how alone she really was in the world.
I have read a few other comments to do with her last scene where some believe she died whereas others went with her running away somewhere.
What do I think happened?
I reckon she went somewhere to die because of the despair she felt, no one having her back, the trauma and everything being so overwhelming. The only thing she could trust or hold onto that brought a bit of happiness into her dismal life was the black goat and it most definitely wouldn't have been enough to save her nor was it hers to keep.
This movie is worth a watch!

What Do I think happened to Ye Joo at end?
This film is so emotional and not just the typical “murderer’s daughter”, this portrayed more that deep story. This had an open ending which make us viewers to think what’s the ending or what happened to the girl and we’ll became an open minded.I was sad that Min Shik did not help Ye Joo when he saw her being molested but for real, i cannot blame him. He just became confused and scared at the same time while seeing that, and in fact, he’s just a middle school student means he’s still a minor. It will also leave a traumatic and emotionally scars to him especially that was his “true” friend. Then after that incident he started ignoring Ye Joo which is at first I was confused and a bit mad at him for ignoring her but then, I understood that he ignores her bc he’s also mad at himself , he felt like he’s the worst for not helping her and have not courage to face her because he’s guilty himself. And again, he’s still a minor.
If you really want to know what happened to Ye Joo at the end, I’ll apologize because no one knows what really happened to her.BUT!! if you have time to brainstorm about what happened to ye Joo, the first thing that you can think about is the Goat, and Ye Joo’s personality and life experiences. The goat being a runaway at the end is a clue.
Do you think she died?
Do you think she take her life?
Do you think she just left to a far away place?
For me, as I said, the goat is a clue as well as her personality. Other viewers said that she died , but for me , it’s not. I think she just left and go to a far away place to live a new life and move on. The goat running in the end means she decided to let go Min Shik (including her life in that place) , she let go the goat bc she’s remembering Min Shik and it’s not possible for Ye Joo to leave a grudge to Min Shik as he did not help her and like ghosted her after.
Basically, the goat is like Ye Joo’s grudges and worries the she decided to let go.
Why do I think she did not take suicide?
Based on her personality and life experiences. She’s been bullied a lot (school or outside) and live as a murderer’s daughter but she just doesn’t care and eventually learned to let them go. She not a suicidal person coz her life is not that worst, she’s has a father who supports her and she’s a brave and strong girl. And at end , church scene, the way she look at the rapist is pure of emotion and madness , then she eventually let him go , just like to her bullies. But her eyes, Seem’s like they’re saying “you will receive your worst karma soon you old hag disgusting man”
We’ll yeah that’s it hehe, I love this film. It’s unique, and I hate myself for not knowing this earlier.
I Love Min Shik and Ye Joo relationship, such a great best friend relationship.
Not the typical bully the murderer’s child story.
I like that I need to be open minded to watch and understood the film. I just became a Psychologist while watching this.
This film can teach you how to look closely to a two different point of views.
The ending is not that cliffhanger, but ofc I hated that it has open ending, but i like that we are able to explore our mindset to create our own ending, which helps us develop ourselves.
The only thing that I hate is they did not have justice to Ye Joo. That disgusting fckn old man!

For my opinion about it well..overall it's beautiful film but it's not that kind of movie that makes us want to watch it again and again ...
It didn't give a powerful impact well it is sad but it didn't make my heart shake and also I felt that there is missing part plus I didn't understand the end I mean what happened to the girl
For positive point of I liked the acting and the background ...I mean the place that was shot the film complete the story

The director definitely made this movie in thought of letting the viewers lead their own way with whether they will like certain characters or not, which is one of the best features of this movie.
Simply watching this movie for Jinyoung, I did not expect a lot, but I was blown away with acting of all the characters and the way they interpreted the struggles of the girl and the boy himself.
Metaphorically showing the girl as innocence and purity, while the boy is plain regret and guilt was a genius move.
I found the movie interesting from start to the very end and I love the way they didn't sugarcoat anything, but plainly showed how life really is when someone has these kind of struggles. It definitely takes time to take it all in and understand the bigger picture of the movie.
Overall, the movie is great and definitely worth watching and I have no clue why I didn't watch it sooner. I recommend this movie to everyone.

I need to shout it out. I’ve been in pain for the past week because of this movie. Even though I didn’t watch the whole movie and understand it completely, it was enough to bring me pain into my heart because of the unhappy ending and all the bad things that happened in this movie. I cried too much, I almost vomited, I released out my anger by throwing stuff around my room, and I’m still in pain today. Sometimes I feel like nobody understands me because I didn’t watch the whole movie and I don’t see it the way other people do. I have been suffering so much, I just lost hope in life like I don’t want to live anymore. Was this review helpful to you?
