Although the story was slightly confusing at times, the overall feel of it is excellent. It's an original storyline that keeps you on your feet until the very last second of the movie, that was the best part. I won't spoil it for those of you who are considering watching, which I recommend to all those who love suspense and don't mind a bit of gore (this is a horror movie after all). I guarantee you can't guess the answer to the killings until the very end, it blew my mind, I so didn't see it coming.
I'd like to commend Lee Ki Woo and Park Ki Woong (especially) for the great acting. PKW played especially well the part of the mysterious boy, it was a gem! Some of the acting could've been better, but overall it was very good.
The music isn't very present in the movie, I don't think I even noticed it, I was too absorbed by what was going on, suppose that's a good sign (not for the music though).
Although rewatching this will spoil it since you already know the answer, it still worth it to catch all those signs you didn't see before that eventually led to the answer.
Overall, I strongly recommend this movie, especially to horror and suspense fanatics, and people who like a good mindf*** (sorry) =D

Did I like the movie? Yes. At first it was hard to get into, but as more and more people died, and all the explanations given or guessed by me turned out to be false, I started to enjoy it more. Why are people dying around Ga In? Why is everyone trying to kill her? The movie presents few answers, but at the same time dismantles them with new information. Plot wise, even though fairly simple, will keep you interested. It dives into the dark topic of who and for what reasons could kill and how much of the external factors are needed to convince them to murder.
The best performance award in the movie goes to Lee Kan Hee for playing Ga In's mother. That once kitchen scene truly impressed me.
What else did I like? Some pictures created were amazing and shocking. Especially two scenes: the hospital scene from the beginning and Ga In's dream with the ceiling involved (once you watch it, you will know).
Any warnings? Some scenes are graphic, blood is more than present more than once. It's also an older movie, so expecting extremely high production quality would be a mistake.

"The whole world seems cursed"
I don't usually watch horror, but the story of seemed interesting and fascinating. So, I thought I should give it a try. I just finished watching it, so the emotions are still fresh and raw.Just like as headline says, for Ga-In, her whole world seems cursed with no way to escape from the curse. The first half of the movie progresses into her realizing the curse she always bore and the last half is about her life turning into an empty pithole of what is real and what is not.
《Don't trust anyone. Your friends, your family. Not even yourself. Then, you just might live》
Those are the words that she thought to be an escape from her curse. A ray of hope to survive. But those words were what created a path that led her into destruction.
There are several jump scares and out of nowhere, dream sequences that gives it a disguise of our typical horror movie. But it really isn't. Those sudden dream sequences serves a purpose. And I believe those jump scares are way of alerting viewers of the possible danger. Then, when a seemingly normal person enters the scene, it makes viewers and Ga-in feel relieved only to be introduced with the real danger.
The acting was the main reason why I feel some of the most ridiculous scenes felt fascinating and intriguing to watch. All the actors done their part almost perfectly. But the actor who played as Ga-in did a very great job. All the emotions she potrayed and how she delivered her dialogues which weren't that imapctful left an impact and captivated me as a viewer.
The storyline was gloomy and somewhat thrilling and the actors did a great job to keep the vibe in their acting. Even a smiling face seemed sad and a sad face scary because at times, it's just Ga-in's delusion and at times, the face will soon show a new level of insanity.
I didn't notice the music much as the story was pretty fast-paced in my opinion and I didn't want to miss any important scenes.
I don't think Someone Behind You will be as much thrilling to watch the second time as the first time. But I think if you enjoy the gloominess of this movie, then you will be able to re-watch it, maybe, not with the same excitement, but at least, without getting bored since it is somewhat a fast-paced movie with talented actors and a good storyline.
