Honestly, at first, I only watched this because my cousin is a big fan of Dilraba Dilmurat. So I watched some of it, and it immediately caught my attention. This is not a drama about damsels in distress, its actually really captivating, showing that girls can be equally good, or even stronger than boys. I really liked the acting of the female lead, but I'm not so sure about the male lead. His acting is just not very eye-catching. The story could be a little more interesting, they should cause more conflict because it shouldn't just be about protecting someone. The music could have been better. What really surprised me was when I rewatched it, I feel there were way more details in it that I haven't discovered before. So there you go, this is how I feel about this drama.

P.S. This is my first time writing a review, so I really hope it helps you. Thank You!

I wanted to like this so much because of my girl Dilraba, but this show was bad. Entertaining to watch after a long day at work and sitting in traffic, but bad. And I know, I know not every drama I am going to watch it going to be a romance, but don't introduce a romance and then have this HUGE plot twist that breaks them up, and then NEVER address again even after the plot twist was solved in a single episode after. But that's the thing about this show. Literally, and I am not joking, EVERYONE and their mom had cancer in this show. Not only that, but EVERYONE who had cancer somehow got cured by the end, EXCEPT for the moms who died from it. Besides that, the reason why I didn't like this show is that (1) everyone was a TERRIBLE bodyguard except for homegirl who carried the whole team every time and (2) nothing made sense. Literally, the characters would say one thing, and then they would go and do another thing as if that is what they discussed. At some point, I gave up and just started watching the show and skimming the subtitles because either there was terrible writing for this show or the team who translated everything, did a terrible job. Plus, the cuts were terrible towards the end (i feel like this show gradually got wilder and then worse) and the plot made no sense and I felt like this series (at 37 episodes, 45 minutes each) could have been cut down because there was too much filler. Honestly, if more of the plot happened, I would have loved more episodes, but it was just filled with random missions that Firewolf Girl dominated at. Yes, it was important for her character growth, but I really didn't need 10 episodes of random missions in the middle when all I wanted to know was to see White Shark do research on this HUGE plot twist to see if it was actually true and if it was what that would mean for him and Firewolf Girl. But of course, he figures out the truth in the beginning which ultimately affected him more than Firewolf Girl, and then he disappeared from hella episodes and I just wanted to see how everyone would react to his findings. Overall, without giving out spoilers, I absolutely hated Pink Panther, she was extremely selfish and drove a wedge between homegirl and homeboy; I felt extremely bad for Big Bear, even though he was this huge dumb jock who didn't know how to deal with rejection in the correct way; White Shark was ok, I liked his determination to get his girl (especially after that hospital scene), but he didn't know how to step back and let the girl breath; and finally Firewolf Girl was SUCH A BADASS, but he also needed to step back and get a reality check.

An Honest Review

I watched this series for Dilraba and Ma Ke respectively as I'm a fan of both. I had read a lot of different reviews but I always like to watch and make up my mind myself. This drama is first and foremost about action, competition, and learning about teamwork. Romance is dead last. But I was expecting that. Ironically the most satisfying relationship was between the two instructors of LHSD. There was a romance triangle or quad. Two guys liked the same girl, and a 2nd girl all but stalked the main lead.

Cons: The title should have been LHSD not Hot Girl; didn't fit. The constant repetitive flashbacks weren't needed and were very annoying. Almost like the screenwriter thought the audience would forget who said what and when and to whom. What's the point of watching then? Least favorite character by far was Pink Panther aka Tianqi. She fell for the lead and literally stalked him; she had photos of him in her apartment everywhere. And in a secret box where she recorded every conversation they ever had. Yet when a celebrity entrusted their agency for the exact same purposes; she had a stalker, that person was considered psychologically unwell. He too had photos of her everywhere, followed her everywhere, and made constant phone calls. Yet Pink Panther's actions were considered normal even encouraged! It was mind boggling.

I felt bad for the male lead because his feelings towards the female lead were constantly trampled on by "but you can't hurt Pink Panther" or "you must be with her." Why should he be with a woman he doesn't care for in that way and a creeper to boot? It was a huge issue for many episodes. What compounded matters was the whole real probability of FL and ML actually being siblings after they fell in love. But even when that was cleared up, the FL was still pushing ML away towards the creepy Pink Panther; like girl are you really that dense or just dumb as nails? When first finding out that ML may be her brother, she turned cold and heartless towards him without any explanation. He was as much of a victim as she was. He meanwhile saved her life countless times and never gave up on her. What made it even more pathetic was that their "reunion" in the second to last episode was about as emotional as two old ladies playing cards. Very poorly written. She owed him an apology at the very least and a kiss would have been nice. As mentioned above the instructors relationship had more fireworks.

Sorry but Pink Panther is getting the punching bag here and it's because on top of being a creepy stalker that literally no one realized, she also spied on all of the people she supposedly cared for and worked for in order to help a competitor/misguided antagonist who hated the founder of LHSD. The SML was a dumb jock who couldn't take no for an answer, in love with FL and had the whole "if I can't have her, I'll just (try and) beat up everyone around me to show my manliness and endanger everyone's lives by joining the antagonist to show my jealousy." Very passive aggressive and just proved his uselessness.

Some scenes had me questioning the validity of anything they ever learned. In the second to last episode when SML holds FL hostage with first a gun, then a knife goading the ML to kill himself, the FL couldn't even subdue him? This entire time she was showing her almost gravity defying superiority in fighting and yet she can't get out of a hold? Probably the fakest scene out of the entire thing save for the paragliding experience which was obvious the production had a very low budget.

Next question, in 2015 or whenever this thing was filmed, was cancer the most popular thing people could come up with? Just about every other character had it. No variety or ingenuity whatsoever. Lastly the slow walking to music really brought back that Baywatch vibe and not in a good way.

After so many cons, how can this show possibly have any pros? But it does in fact.

Pros: I loved the idea of the show and the thing that made it more interesting is that they weren't just a group of bodyguards but also private investigators it seemed. Just about every client they had was shady or had additional problems that required further investigation. Nothing was ever cut and dry. I enjoyed the fact that they all started out as snotty, arrogant know it all's but learned how to work together and even appreciate the "she-monster" instructor who in fact just wanted them to succeed through hard work. FL and ML went from largest rivals, to friends, to falling in love though with a lot of hiccups. But in the entire time they each grew and matured.

Many side characters helped like the old man cafe owner; he was sort of like their shrink when they were stumped. The bullies got weeded out fairly quickly and were eliminated. For a good chunk of the episodes, it was all about their training which was more like boot camp for the military then bodyguards. Life and death situations brought people closer and helped them learn to rely on one another both at and outside of work. The synopsis talks about the FL becoming this legendary bodyguard. I wouldn't go that far because she wasn't alone. The final group all became great bodyguards, she just became a more responsible leader. So over all, I give this series a 7/10 because I knew I wasn't going to find a romance but more of an action drama and in that aspect, it didn't disappoint in the slightest. So watch for action, character growth, teamwork, friendships. If you're looking for romance, this isn't the drama for you.

This story is not really good....

DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW IF YOURE INTERESTED IN WATCHING THIS DRAMA DO NOT!!!⛔
I kinda liked this only cause dilraba is in it I thought her role in this would be quite nice after watching love designer....but expectations don't actually mean it's gonna happen in reality, I'm not saying this is a really bad story but ...it's like amnesia in this drama could've been way better like I waited for an eternity for them to be together but then soon after they started dating they parted ways...why cause they We're half siblings?
Cant have any better reason to split them up but I was generous enough to rate 6.0 cause I've seen Kyle ma in love of aurora which is again a nice story and as for dilraba why even ask she's my idol and soo looking forward for yang yang and dilraba's new drama you're my glory!!!!really tired of waiting ...???

It's ok

Don't read this review, if you don't want to be spoiled.

Even though I'm a bit irritated by somethings that happened in the series so far, it hasn't made it a deal breaker for me. It's still worth watching. There are some interesting characters' in this. Firewolf, Pink Panther, and Devilfish is highly attractive. :) but so are Firewolf, and Pink Panther.

The training school kept acting like they were being fair, while not being fair. They didn't punish the bullies, but the one that stood up to the bullies. They punished for helping out another member, and then punished for not. They constantly talk about be a bodyguard, and punishing if you tried to protect a team member. Serious mix messages they were teaching.

She Monster was intentionally aggressive against Giant Bear. She was pulling no punches. She was beating the hell out of him, and was even trying to choke him out. She made it clear that she was a threat, so Giant Bear beat her down.

Giant Bear took down She Monster, which wasn't easy in anyway, and he failed??? Did he lose his cool a bit, sure, but She Monster is who crossed the line, she is the one that pushed him to that. The 2 girls in the other car were knocked out, yet the scored higher that Giant Bear, and they passed.

They literally created a enemy in the way they treated Giant Bear. They handled him all wrong. They trained him, and then seriously disrespected him, and She Monster wasn't punished. I imagine that will be seeing more of Giant Bear later in the series as a enemy.

So many bad decisions by the school.

Apparently, they didn't run background checks on all the students, seems a odd thing not to do, considering the kind of job they are doing. Just leaves them open to all kinds of surprises, Like...

They assign Stinger Bee a mission that she isn't a good match with, and are surprised that it didn't go well....

She Monster thinks being private, is the same as lying, which makes her a hypocrite, because any time she was asked a question about herself, she didn't answer, so in her book, she's a big fat liar! :)

She Monster attacks Giant Bear just because he doesn't want to talk to her. Really doesn't feel justified.

She then has a fight with his boss, and he easily handles her. Pretty impressive fight. We don't know anything about this guy yet, but I thought he would act more like a villain and show enjoyment for beating her, but he showed concern when she appeared really hurt. Wasn't expecting to see that emotion. Makes me wonder what's really going on. He wants revenge for some reason, but he doesn't appear to be blood thirsty, well, atleast in the moment. I was also surprised that She Monster didn't know who he was, but he also never said his name, so maybe she would recognize it, if she knew it.

I haven't said it, but Dilraba Dilmurat has been really good in this series. To go from You Are My Glory, and Love Designer, and the type of girl she was in those, to Hot Girl, and how she's such a badass here, is really a bit odd. She is so talented, and interesting to watch. Looks like I need to watch more shows with her in it.

Wow, DEC security sucks. I don't understand why they were using bodyguards as the only security. LHSD apparently only have 5 bodyguards, and they were just the interns a minute ago. Sort of makes LHSD rather weak. Bodyguards protect people, not buildings. If there are more than 5 people in LHSD, we never see them in action.

Jeez, the guy condemns them for relying on computers, when he does everything by hand, and has no backups of any kind. If he was using a computer he could easily have backups. Now all his work is gone, and he's acting like not using a computer is superior... smh

Man, this part of the story is so freaking weak.

White Shark is a idiot, and Giant Bear should be buried in the ground. Firewolf disables Giant Bear easily, while before she couldn't, makes no sense. Instead of getting the box back to safety, that sat around waiting on Giant Bear.... huh???

Giant Bear crossed a line that should never be crossed. People rarely change, so it's unlikely Giant Bear will.

Hmm, only a finger print scanner was needed for the box, but Wu Fei had his finger print.......

OMG, this makes no logical sense. Wu Fei wanting the box, after it was returned, a box he has no idea what's in it, and he's going to using a traitors life as leverage to get it makes no sense.

Wu Fei was shown to be the best fight in the series, and somehow, he wasn't able to handle Hasang, who is a much older guy.......

Hasang shot someone, yet he's saying he didn't do any crimes..... jeez.

The ending is weak.

Odd, They have the director, then 3 retired agents, and then 5 new agents, and for some reason, this makes them a big deal..... This doesn't really hold water for me.

Is this show worth watching sure, most of the actors could be models. If it wasn't for that, the show really wouldn't be that interesting.

The drama was too forced, and didn't make a lot of sense.

None of the characters die. This isn't a Romance drama, even when it has a bit in it, so don't watch it for that reason. There is some really good fighting in this, and the girls are highly attractive. You also learn that drinking, and gambling are very bad. Many cdrama's try to teach this lesson. :) Funny how doing either of these thing rarely end well.

For those looking for a serious show, but not too serious, most of this series will check that box for you. Many likeable characters.

I've finished the series, and I'll be lowering my rating. The series was interesting at the start, but they make some bad choices for drama's sake, and by the end, your sort of left shaking your head. It's a shame really, because they made some really interesting characters. Some really beautiful strong female characters, and story just doesn't support them. They tried to reach too far, and what they built, didn't support it.

The headliner is called "Hot Girl" which focused on the female lead that Dilraba portrays, there are multiple story lines that are ongoing in the show.

In some sense if this was like a mini series that focuses on each other characters development is fine, however with Dilraba as the main lead the story could've been more focused.

The love interest was wishy washy back and forth which really didn't further the plot, other than add love interest element into the story, that would've otherwise been focused on her father.

Love it

Finished watching this series, love the show and the songs. Unfortunately, the only thing is finding all the songs in this series. Am still missing one song sung by a male artist - no, it is not the beginning theme song . This song can be heard at the last episode where they are celebrating their victory on the beach. Absolutely appreciate it if anyone knows that song title and singer so I can download it <3 Other than that, the series is absolutely alright and worth watching. One of the "rare" series that doesn´t have a full blown romance story till the end. So.... if you are looking for a romance series, I wouldn´t recommend this one.

Tbh this show is actually not that bad just that there is little to no romance. I actually like the concept of the bodyguard. The amount of effort and hardwork put in the show is tremendous. The actors experience it so the emotions are real. I know this show doesn't have a good rating but 1you can give it a try if you like the bodyguard concept. It was something new for me and i found it interestingly good. The bad thing about this show is that it's lacking romance. The leads were actually good in their acting but i felt they would have a good chemistry if the scriptwriters let them have more chance tgt than pulling out the siblings card and then only at the end they found out they're not siblings and got tgt. So yea, definitely recommend this show if you dont mind a romanceless show and an actress who's heels over the top because of the lead guy. AND DILIREBA IS INSIDE TOO (VERY BADASS)

If your wondering if you should continue or start watching ,yes

I really liked this drama and felt like the other reviews didn't give it enough justice. First the really liked the idea of the bodyguard and fighting. I almost dropped this drama because of a lil plot twist, but i really liked the idea of bodyguard so i continued watching. In the end it was worth it. I saw review talking complaining about all the missions they had throughout the drama but i think it was pretty interesting because all their clients had they own story to it. This drama isn't super romance heavy but its there. I kinda like it this way, compared to all the romance love drama this is a good drama for a little change. I highly recommend. The reason i gave the re watch value a low score isn't because it was bad,but its really long and its something i would only enjoy watching once,if you know what i mean.

Hot Girl is a Chinese drama about a sporty arrogant girl who enrolls in a bodyguard training center, and becomes a skilled elite bodyguard with her group of friends. This is definitely a girl power drama. None of the female characters in this drama are damsels in distress, and are all skilled in their own way. The male characters are often overpowered by the female characters and the two male leads were nothing impressive. There is romance in this drama but I didn't ship them much to be honest. Overall this drama was ok; it was not the best and not the worst that I have ever watched but there were definitely things that could have been improved on.

It Had An Potential However I Dropped

This is my first review so if I go wrong anywhere, don't take it seriously. Actually this is the first drama ever I'm dropping. I also skipped some sites. In real I'm actually a very patient person so I somehow made it to 32 no. episode and then I dropped.
What was actually wrong with it? It had the potential but they just gave away some cringe plot twist and made it too lengthy. I wanted to watch this drama 'cause it had Dilraba and Ma Ke in it. But I was too disappointed . And the sibling thing was getting on my nerves. I'm not telling everyone that you guys should not watch, I'm just giving my Opinion 'cause it also has some positive reviews . But I wouldn't consider recommending it.
