"Yada, close your eyes"....these words haunted me thru the drama and will egg me on to rewatch this drama soon again. Infact, I just finished it and wanna go back again.

This lakorn is very well made....it looks like a kdrama very pretty but has that thai chemistry in it.

The main lead pair -just incredible. Krit and Yada are so freakin awesome together....no real kisses but u dont even need them....these guys build chemistry just being in the same screen space. I love Ken since Sawan Biang and watched many more but this show is like his rebirth...he looks sooo freakin HOTT.... I love the female lead playing Yada too, watched Ngao Hua Jai before this so could really connect with her.

This show has everything and is well paced...so much happens in 14 episodes that u feel like u gotta rewatch it again to absorb it better.

Watch it if u like gr8 chemistry, bad heros, romance and strong women.... no rape in this drama and it still rocks the slap/kiss charts plus the behind the scenes at the end of each epi is so cute:)

Exhilarating and Stunning, "Ra Rerng Fai" is a hardcore romantic slap-kiss that presents Vengeance, betrayal, torment, family, honor and are so full of deceptions that it mindblowns you. Starring the legendary Ken Theeradeth as the ruthless Shakrit and actress Noon Wongsawan (my first time watching her on-screen) as Yada, their long time experience of acting truly paid off in this well received drama and you can`t take your eyes off them when you watch them interact and sees how their chemistry sets the screen on fire.We have a wonderful tail of cast and a darkness to the drama that makes your heart beat faster. From the start Shakrit really comes off as a devious sociopath, where he leaves Yada`s sister on their wedding day and watches the whole hell he creates with a cold satisfaction. It`s said that its the father he wants make suffer, but he chooses to create havoc for his children too just for the fun of it, and because it makes the father suffer 100 times more when he sees his children suffer. The oldest one of the children is the daughter Yada who just came back from Switzerland to attend her sisters wedding. Very different from her younger sister who is a very gentle human being,Yada has a mind of steel and takes charge whenever she comes into a room. Not having ever seen her sisters groom she doesn`t realize he is the same man who stopped the lift for her, or brought her coffe when her father falled ill on hospital. Shakrit is a master on deception and does it unfeelingly and cooly. But when Noon later on realizes the truth at the end of 1:st episode Shakrit tells her dangerously not to chase him, "because i like to be the one to do the chasing".

A war forms between Yada and Shakrit, a dangerous game where one will have to win, and Yada are magnificent in standing on her ground against the mighty Shakrit, and never hesitated to challenge him. But against his will Shakrit does desire her, and gets fascinated by her spirit...and also her vulnerability that touched him in a way no ones feelings ever touched him before. Using blackmail he soon also forces her to marry him, and while declaring that its for revenge against her father,we see that its because he have strong feelings for her and its such a beautiful view to see him treat her like his woman. He cherishes her and protects her,and even trusts her when he never trusted anyone for 20 years. His bestfriend Tassana has his growing romance with Yadas younger sister Khem, and there is a third romance between Shakrit`s adopted sister Chayanee and Yadas hot-tempered younger brother Traitot, and damn how i also enjoyed their love-hate relationship!!All the forced kisses between Shakrit and Yada was yummi as hell as the chemistry was BURNING OFF the screen all the time, and watching a shirtless Ken? Mindblowing and made me wave a hand over my face just because i couldn`t stop getting hot all over Ken`s irresistible sexiness!!!!Damn how that man aged well over the years, damn damn!!!!All is fair in love and war, so see how Shakrit gets his revenge..and eventually redemption and watch him give up everything in the name of love

Forgive, let go, begin anew.

This show is good to look at with great scenery and sets. The overall production is well put together.

The story is nothing new in Thai dramaland, it has revenge, family feuds, corporate trickery, forced marriage etc etc. Overall the theme is about forgiveness and moving on after people have wronged you; each character has to process some wrongs or perceived wrongs that have been done to them and learn to forgive and let go.

The cast is good, Ken is never disappointing and I discovered a new fave in the form of Nune. I've never watched her before and I was duly impressed by her performance here, she's a refreshing Thai female lead with spunk and mental fortitude.

The other cast members are ok, although I must say the plot of this drama is quite thin so it was draggy and repetitive in the middle, the beginning is excellent though.

Overall it's a pleasant watch but doesn't leave much of an impression.

I scored it 7 out of 10

First of all,how do this actors and actresses manage to look flawless as they age.Amazing and beautiful people in the cast.
Okay now back to businesses, the ml was a little too much for me to handle,he was all kinds of messed up and his acting showed his turmoil in terms of feelings and revenge and how this two conflicted in his plan .The actor made,me believe it. The story line fit him perfectly. The female lead made me believe in power suits ,she rocked them hard. Also her part in the story being the oldest but being that she was female she has to coincide to giving the company to the youngest and son was lost on my part but maybe others will get it.Now the chemistry and romance between the male leads even with the fake kisses I absolutely felt every moment of it.
The supporting roles I was in awe of the step mom ,aunt mon portrayed her character to the fullest, you just have to be hooked especially when she was forcing that kasin guy to marry her child.,hilarious stuff.
I absolutely out myself in khemikas, shoes, what is a girl to do if she is left on the altar and then find out that the guy loves her,sister...i willl pause as I wait for your, answer,if you answered loose my flipping mind me and,you we cool.I,think she, was, the most humane, actress in the show because let's be honest wouldn't you do what she,did .However, the, way she realised her nistakes, after being scolded left me frustrated and kept me from thinking,ha !maybe she is a goldfish
The music was so so .not something that will stick in my brain Another year or so ,I might end rewatching it .
Nway,as you, can, tell I invested time and analytics into this, show so please,if you can.,watch and keep an open mind you will not regret it

Story is perfect, no plot hole. Characterization of each character is very good, consistent—especially Sharkrit, has no gaps that I can get. Acting from the cast is amazing. The cast of Sharkrit and Yada plays their character perfectly, but I like the cast of Chayanee - she's the best one for me. Khemika's cast is a little unnatural in the expression and body gimmick in the early episodes, I don't like it, but she then fixes it. I love the way they take motion pictures, camera movements, their angle of view, their field of view, classy! Overall, it's amazing... And, actually, one of the best lakorn that I ever watch.

Great acting and intense chemistry between the lead pair

[Spoilers ahead!]

I found this gem while looking for lakorns with strong female leads, and this show did not disappoint. I don't know how I managed to miss out on the talents of Ken Theeradeth Wongpuapan and Nune Woranuch Bhirombhakdi until now. Still, after seeing them in Ra Raerng Fai, I believe the claims that they both have been labeled as the royalty of Thai dramas. To me, Nune is the doppelganger of my favorite Korean actress, Park Min Young, especially how she looked in this show. Ken and Nune are so good-looking that I found it hard to take my eyes off them whenever they appeared on the screen. The chemistry between them was off-the-charts. Even though the kisses were fake, both actors were so on point with their expressions and body language that I did not need obvious gestures like kissing to see how well they played off each other. They have a unique dynamic that made it so interesting to watch them.

I truly enjoyed this revenge lakorn. I don't understand why the rating is low since I thought this was a pretty well-executed plot, and the pacing was good. Nevertheless, a lakorn would not be a lakorn if it did not include some tropes like entrapment, gold-digging and scheming stepmother and daughter pair, and physical dominance over women (wrist grabbing and pulling, almost rape). NOTE: Absolutely no rape scenes. There was definitely melodrama and angst, and I found my heart wrenching or my blood pressure rising numerous times. However, throw in the happy and satisfying scenes and you get an addictive drama that kept me binge-watching it. Yes, 14 1.5 hour-long episodes in 2 days.

I appreciate the maturity reflected in how Yada and Chakrit communicated. There's no yelling. Both so cool and collected but boy did the sparks fly when they get into a verbal-sparring match! I love that Yada was not like the typical screechy female character, with tons of crying. Yes, Yada's eyes were often shining with tears, but she never dissolved into a complete mess, especially not in front of others. She always tried to portray a strong front, and in front of Ken, she never wanted to appear weak. Indeed, Yada was like an iron fist in a velvet glove. Plus, she was also intelligent, quick at decision-making and resourceful. It was no wonder that her family looked to her as the household head after their dad. Nune portrayed Yada with such elegance and grace, and she can really emote with her eyes. The only complaint I have was how filial Yada was towards her father and how that blinded her to the truth for so long. I felt so much frustration for Chakrit during those moments.

Ken was perfect as Chakrit - a man described as a scoundrel but at the same time, was so charming, charismatic and attractive that I wanted him to get away with everything! Hell-bent on seeking revenge for his father, Chakrit had done some bad things, but at the same time, as Yada noted, he was truly a good person in his true self. I was so invested in his attraction to Yada. He did not know what hit him when Yada appeared in his life, and I liked watching how his attraction to Yada developed into full-blown feelings. He was drawn to her strength and iron will, but also to her vulnerability that she tried so hard to hide from him. Yada was never part of his revenge plan, and he really wanted to marry her because he was falling for her. One of my favorite genres is when the ML falls for the FL first, and it was cute how Chakrit smoothly expressed his feelings to Yada. Like when he told her that this would be his last marriage and her first and only marriage. Or when he told her that he did not wrestle with women (rape), and that he would wait for her to run into his hug. I have nothing but praises for Ken's acting in this show and have added his and Nune's other shows to my watch list.

The couple has gone through so much that I am so grateful that the writers gave us a satisfying ending that was not rushed. There was a bit of turmoil even in the last episode, but at least the couple reunited properly before the last episode. I was so worried that they would have Yada continue being obstinate and letting her pride stop her from accepting Chakrit back. It was also nice that there were no true love triangles.

I loved the female characters' outfits, especially Yada's and Khem's! The production designer deserved a shout-out for such excellent choices.

The supporting cast was good, but I was not very interested in the second and third couples' relationships. I just did not like Khem, and even though P'Na was the sweetest gentleman, I could not see them as a couple. Trai and Nee were cute together, but again, I was not particularly drawn to their relationship. The two characters that I could not stand were the stepmother and her daughter. They were such devious, money-grubbing hustlers that I think their characters were more to provide comic relief. I found myself fast-forwarding through their scenes quite a bit so that I did not have to deal with their stereotypical over-acting. There was no overly evil villain; in fact, the character that I would consider to be the worst was Yada's father. His refusal to acknowledge his mistakes and the wrongs he inflicted upon others really irritated me. He was a good foil to Chakrit who acknowledged that he was the bad guy but the father was one who thought he was the good guy when he wasn’t. Good news - all the "bad" guys did get their karma.

I did not find the soundtrack memorable, but I did like the theme song, and there were a couple of instrumental pieces that were fitting for the scenes.

I gave a high rating for the re-watch value since I am already re-watching many of Chakrit's and Yada's scenes. I think this is one OTP that I will have a hard time getting over.

The best lakorn in this genre that I've seen so far

At last!

A lakorn with a storyline from the beggining till the end! I didn't skip any episode. A great story of revenge that we understand why the ML wants to chase and hurts the people around them! The ML actor is great in his role, but I love Ken T. Never see a drama wich he leads that was bad.!
But abouve all we have a strong and adult FL. No screams, without act like a child! Even yhe female supports leaders in this drama act according the age of the roles, without uncessary screams.

If you like of this genre this is one I advise because it's great to see!

Love the leads

I was initially reluctant to watch this lakorn as the ML was nearly "married" to the sister of the FL...however having watched it, I just have to say I loved it...the story, the leads, the costumes, the number of episodes was just right so no dragging...etc etc.
Male lead...as with most lakorns I have watched I went from "really??? What woman on earth would be fool enough to fall in love with this obnoxious, scheming, horrible man???!!!" To...."awwww poor baby, isn't his smile the cutest ?...Yada be kind to my baby please". It took me 7 episodes to convert ??.
Female lead...Yada is what I wish every female lead would be...not just lakorns, but most Asian shows. She is my favourite female lead of all the shows I have ever watched ( though Siri of CLOY is also one of my favs) and I have watched quite a few ?. A smart, rich, mature, successful business woman but isn't spoilt, overbearing, rude or arrogant. She possesses a strong sense of justice and is extremely caring and loyal. She is strong yet vulnerable at the right moments! The qualities she possesses makes her the perfect match for Sharkrit.
Rewatch: I am already rewatching some scenes. I don't usually rewatch shows no matter how much I loved it but for Ra Raerng Fai, Krit/Ken (so handsome...sigh) and Yada I will be rewatching!

Superb Chemistry despite fake kisses

I love lakorns with strong female characters. This is one lakorn where the woman holds her head high, is independent and responsible despite having it all is neither spoiled nor mean. Female lead has done an outstanding job. Ken theeradeth as the male lead has given full justice to the role and is suave, charming with a hint of grey shades. Yet, he is cute and they both deliver an amazing chemistry despite fake kisses... I am definitely watching this again just to see the interaction between these two...

A must watch

The Story:
This is one of the best written dramas I've seen to date (having seen many). The story is superbly told with no obvious plot holes or leaps in logic that you so often see in Thai Lakorns. The production is slick and rich. An intelligent, highly entertaining story. The two leads have an amazing, sizzling chemistry. This is a slap/kiss but quite a light one in that department. Women are treated respectfully by the story and the dignity and worth of women is upheld by some dialogue and the characters, including our lovely bad boy, the ML. There are no rape scenes, but one attempted sexual assault which is suitably dealt with. There are no evil love rivals (something I really dislike in dramas.) Stories like this prove that you can have a quality drama with good tension without the need of cliched evil love rivals doing their best to de-rail the love story.

The characters:
P.Kritt: Ken as we've come to expect, delivers a brilliantly believable character. One part of your brain is saying 'this is make believe', but the other part is so caught up in the story and the characters that you really think they're real. A hallmark of a well written story is to 'suspend disbelief', and that's exactly what this one does for me. I felt so sad for his character in a lot of the episodes, especially when he's reacting to the rocky relationship with Yada, whom he truly loved right from the beginning. But it took her a long time to came to that same degree of love for him. His character was flawed and to be pitied, but in the end, he experienced a huge character growth and turned his life around. The dangers he had to face to do this for his family proved that his character growth was sincere and complete. A wonderfully complex and brilliantly portrayed character. An added bonus is that he's just so darned good to look at, who wouldn't love him!

Yada: Another good acting job by the actress, Nune. This character generated conflicting emotions for me. I started out being grateful that she was feisty, independant, intelligent and confident. A direct opposite to a lot of the FL characters who are nit witted doormats who do everything but verbally beg to be abused by the ML. Not this one. However, around ep 10 or so, my feeling started to change to one of dislike for this character. She was stupidly stubborn in protecting the no-good father, despite overwhelming evidence. She aided and abbetted him in breaking the law, and importantly, she refused to listen to or trust P.Kritt when he tried to tell her differently. This causes a lot of hurt to P.Kritt which is why I'm so sympathetic to his character and not so sympathetic to hers. She condemns him for doing dispicable things, but she in turns exacts revenge on P.Kritt in one of the cruelest ways (Ep 11) which made me so angry at her. By the end, she came round but I never managed to regain the initial sympathy I had for her in the beginning. Yes his character had a lot of bad flaws and he did some terrible things. She expected him to change from that, but didn't appear to think that she needed to change herself. Once again, this is a testimony to a great acting job by Nune.

P.Khem (Yada's sister). Hated this character absolutely. She was weak and vengeful, jealous and manipulative. No wonder she was used as a tool in P.Kritt's revenge. She was just begging to be used . She then decides that she's not going to be pushed around anymore but instead of becoming strong and confident, she becomes spiteful, and manipulative. Stemming from I suspect, jealousy because she still loved P.Kritt but knew that he would never be hers. An altogether unsympathetic and easy to dislike character.

P.Kritt's friend, P.Na. A very nice character played very well by Aun. I've only seen him in two dramas and enjoyed both acting jobs. He's very believable. This was one of the most likeable characters. He was a good person who tried to do the right thing but recognised that his loyalty was empowering P.Kritt to continue on his dark path. He didn't put up with the self-centered trantrums of P.Khem but stood his ground. In the end, he got a partner who really didn't deserve him.

P.Nee & P.Tot. A cute couple with some sweet moments. P.Nee gave us some good, tense 'she's a wacko' moments in the earlier parts of the drama but then settled into a sweet character who tried to love as best she could. P.Tot was a young and weak character who was only just learning to stand on his own feet instead of being led around by the nose by whoever held 'authority' over him.

The comedic relief came from the Mother & daughter characters Chat and Mon. They were really funny without being annoying.

The music was beautiful. The settings were gorgeous and the production overall a real top quality.

Re-watch value. Definitely. But I'll come back to it later because some of the middle eps when the ML character was suffering emotionally were hard to watch. The ending was lovely and satisfactory with the whole story being woven together into a beautiful ending. My favourite scene is in ep 9 after they've spent their first night together and wake in each other's arms on the verandah with a gorgeous sunrise painting the sky. Swoon.

I give this a 10 out of 10, which is rare for me.

worth watch if you like romance and revenge stories

really good show. good story and the characters have depth. the story has a lot of twists and turns that you don`t know what's going to happen next. which makes it even more enjoyable. but an overall good balance between action and romace.

a little tip though don`t read the description or synopsis before watching cos it is deceiving and will put you off watching it as it did with me. there is a cycle of revenge but that doesn't really navigate the story as the description suggests.

Good number of episodes and a good length. the overall production and sets were good as well.
