Both drama's are about an individual from a non-political background who eventually runs for President driven by personal tragedies and circumstances in order to establish a better society.

even if their context is different, both dramas deal with ordinary people who are led to run for presidency to change society ; both are great political dramas, with a very realistic approach of politics.

Both are political dramas that have women who were elected to high positions. In the case of City Hall, the female lead became the mayor of her city.

there are a lot of similar themes in these two dramas - Politics, shady law officials, corruption, scandals, murders, violence and cover ups, not to mention wonder women FL’s. These dramas have similar vibes, if not vastly different story lines.
