The beginning is pretty unwatchable. Both the characters are annoying and do not get better till the end of the drama. The acting does not help the characters either. While the female lead is not too bad at acting, the male lead is especially bad. The storyline is okay.

This drama was kind of all over the place for me…interesting story…cheesy dialogue…lots of hilarity…mediocre production…fun characters…weird. I just couldn’t take it that seriously (which would be fine…) except that at times it seemed like it wanted to be taken seriously. You can compare this kind of drama to the likes of Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, and even Queen In Hyun’s Man…but where these dramas managed to successfully combine the historical-fusion-comedy-romance-drama genre’s…My Only Love Song kinda failed.

I’m not going to say it was bad, because I did enjoy it for the most part. However, it just did not mesh the various elements of the story well. When it was funny, it was funny. When it was romantic and sweet…it was romantic and sweet. And when it was serious…well, it tried. But it all felt very separated and it just couldn’t blend. I wish it had, because it would be SO freaking amazing had the flow of the story progressed better. But as it stands, I will remember certain moments fondly but not look back with much nostalgia. Here’s to another one for the “what-could-have-been” pile *raises glass.*

Fabulous

This is one of my favourite Dramas that left me feeling good. . I laughed so much. The story was great fun and the actors brilliant. On Dal was not only gorgeous but fabulous. This Drama contains is the best realistic kissing scenes you will find in K and C Dramas. Wish you would bring him back, The insane General Ko was hilarious. And the female lead had anger issues but she was also really funny. All the support actors also added so much humour. It is a fabulous story. It deserves top marks for entertainment. I watch it often. Well done. and please bring the male lead back.

I loved this show!!! The romance was AMAZING!! I really, really loved it. I really like how Su-jeong was still feisty throughout the whole show because that doesn't usually happen in other k-dramas. The chemistry between the two leads was great! I like how their relationship progressed and the fact that they weren't in love with each other from the start.

There were some parts of the story that really bothered me and made me question the storyline but they weren't too distracting. I'm glad there was a happy ending but at the same time...it was a bit random. I wish they would have show some other scene in the last few seconds instead of Su-jeong getting into the car.

There were only two memorable songs that were played out during the show and they were okay, I liked them.

I would definitely watch the show again! The ending was somewhat underwhelming but getting to see Su-jeong and On-Dal fall in love all over again would be worth it!

A very funny time travel drama

I find this drama hilarious. I think this drama has an unique storyline. First of all the female lead is so funny. She gets her way through all of the problems very... uniquely? The story itself was pretty good and interesting and the comedic parts added were amazing. The thing I did not like about this drama was the character introductions before the story continued. Like i was dying to know what happens next but NO now we have to tell the life story of this one character. The ending was also kind of confusing but well it was good enough for me. Overall I want to recommend this drama to everyone its very good!

I watched My Only Love Song on Netflix, which felt a little bit weird for me at first after getting used to watching everything on Viki or online.

Anyway, I'll start with the Cast; AMAZING. I loved the characters and the acting was good. The main leads had insanely great chemistry, and the kiss scenes and skinship felt very natural and not at all forced. Not to forget Moomyung and Pyongang, they were so sweet and I loved them so much! The villain general had a good actor too, he portrayed him well in my opinion. FT.Island's Lee Jaejin did a great job in this drama too, his character was very lovable.

Next stop; Music. The drama had like 2 songs playing on a loop, the rest of the soundtrack was instrumental. The songs and instrumentals were really good but I took points away because it felt strange that they played the same two songs on loop all the time.

Moving on to the Story. It was truly the Achilles' heel of this drama. At first I really liked it, but then it started to have these weird plot holes and some of the things that happened and the things some of the characters did didn't really make sense, and the very end of the last episode left me feeling very confused. What happened there?? What does that mean? I have no clue.

But overall, if you have nothing better to do I'd recommend watching this drama just for the cast and the characters. The plot wasn't all bad either, so this could be a great way to kill some time when you're bored. If you don't mind the plot holes, this drama is actually really entertaining. Also, the episodes are very short (~20min) so this would be a quick watch even though it has 20 episodes. Anyway, thanks for reading my review, I hope it was helpful!

I really had fun watching this drama. I found out that it is a parody of another historical drama, which made it easier to watch. It's just the kind of silly comedy that you can laugh while watching and you know from the very beginning that everything will end well. The actors did quite well. They played the way I expected. Nothing too serious. This drama is great to watch as an interlude between dramas and movies with more serious themes. I've seen opinions that a lot of things haven't been explained, but I don't think so. For me everything is clear and easy to deduce. You just have to remember that this drama has fantasy elements.

A load of Cheese than I'd like.

Well, this is definitely not a serious drama, the producers made it certain from the looks.
Everything going on in there was super cheesy and unreal, even a fictionalized series should have solid elements of reality to ground the fantasy being induced, however this one is more like eating icing on the cake without ever having the actual cake( I think we all know what happens in the restroom afterwards)

I'm not a fan of corny romantics but yeah I guess I bothered to finish it for the love of kdrama, however this one is definitely not a drama I'd come back to.

Personally had fun watching this short series. I found this hella funny, thanks to the narcissistic general and of course to Korea's top star, Song Su Jeong. The chemistry between the main leads were great! I'm so happy I got to see them again on screen after we got married.
Acting of the casts were good, except there were times where for Jong Hyun's sad scenes, I can't help but cringe/can'thelpbutsmile. Nonetheless, I think Seung Yeon portrayed her character very well and I was surprised with Jae Jin! OMG! Never knew he can act! FT Island baby is still as cute as before

id sell my soul to the devil for an s2...that was amazing omg the leads have mad chemistry and they both should do more kdramas wowow

okay now this drama has like allll the clichés...BUT in the best way possible. If u want the thing where the main lead traps the leading lady on the wall and leans in real close or when they have to run danger together or when they are totally in love but try to cover it up by arguing but everyone (except for them) already knows and it's hilarious and of course anything and everything related to a time slip...yup this is your drama.
if you're like me and hate saeguks which steal your heart and then break it into a million pieces but also still end up watching it bc you're a sucker for the drama *looking at you scarlet heart* this is even better. it's like free therapy from all tragedy dramas and unlike saeguks that do have a happy ending but not without torturing you for like the entirety of the series, this drama is the sweetest antidote ever. it will totally heal your broken heart (but beware lee jong hyun cos u bet he's not even gonna bc you're gonna volunteer to give it to him).
but besides I was reluctant about watching since I'm unfamiliar with the cast however gong seungyeon does not fail to deliver. despite her character being (mildly) evil she was absolutely adorable and the role fit her like a glove. lee jonghyun was so damn hot (tbh even if he was written as a book character id say this) and his sass levels were off the charts. them acting together is the best idea ever. The casting director deserves an award. Their chemistry was so good I cant believe they're not dating in real life (such a shame tbh but their choice so oh well)
And shoutout to boong boong for being the best matchmaker and wing(-creature? ...both figuratively and metaphorically) ever

Let me preface this by saying that if you are one who wants an intricate plot with deep plot points, etc, this is not the drama for you. However, if the casting and chemistry of the cast are important to you like it is to me, then you'll love this drama. This is officially one of my top 5 favorite dramas. It had a wonderful balance of drama, comedy, romance, and fun.

Story: I love the premise of the story. Bratty girl gets transported back in time by a magical car and goes through hardships that push character development. It was not the deepest, most intriguing and thought-provoking plot, however, it made for a fun and interesting drama. One thing I would like to warn you about, however, is that there are a few plot holes. I don't think they are significant enough to ruin the whole show (at least for me). I just chalked it up to the magic of the show.

Acting/Cast: This is one of the most beautifully cast dramas I have ever watched. The chemistry in all of the relationships was palpable and I truly believed they were in love. I almost started rooting for the actors to get together! The friendships were strong as well and the relationships (both platonic and romantic) did not seem forced. Each actor portrayed their character in a way that really brought me into the world of the show. Some may say that the acting is a bit over-exaggerated, however, I feel it is fitting for the drama. This honestly made the drama for me

Music: The music was nothing to write home about, however, it fits the drama well I believe. I expected better music with the actors' backgrounds in music, however it didn't take too much away from the show. However, there were times where the show used the ending music in the middle of the show and I would get confused, thinking that then episode was already over. However, this subsided after a few episodes.

Rewatch Value: I want to rewatch this drama right now. I haven't stopped thinking about it since. I will definitely be rewatching it soon, it is just so entertaining.

Cute and shot love story

Itz really cute love story.. there r no too much unwanted scenes all r perfect.. i really enjoyed it and the way they make jokes are soo unexpected itz really funny.. first i thougt give 10 out of 10 but i reduced 0.5 marks becoz of rush ending.. im not satisfied with ending it is too rush i mean at least sam young should see tht on dal come to future dont u think ? except that only there r few things i dont like only little bit. Actually cute and shot i really like it

As for acting cast are superb everyone did thire job very well.. all of them hve very good chemistry and they match to each other very well too... lee jung hyun, i feel like his look is great fr villan roll. In k drama history there r cute villans i feel.like jung hyuns look face expression and everything match for it.. i am not saying he fail to do this character, he did his roll really well and i love it too.. i said i feel he will do villan character also perfectly (i dont know if he alredy did it or not) & as for ko family's elder son i firstly thought he is really tough man but after he saw his face in sword it really funny i really did not expected he will be funny. He also really good actr he change his facial expressions really quicly..

Overall shot and cute must watchd drama that have real commedy scenes and romance.. i recommended it..
