Michiko, who lost her father in a car accident at age 10, lives with her mother, Kyoko. On her birthday, she receives her first cell phone and is soon coerced by her classmate, Awano Taeko, into joining the social networking site "AvaQ." Initially indifferent to avatars, Michiko becomes obsessed with decorating hers. To collect virtual money, she blackmails a salaried worker, eventually winning the AvaQ avatar contest and becoming the new queen of the class. Michiko forms an avatar club featuring odd gas masks and undergoes plastic surgery to resemble her avatar. As her appearance and personality change, conflict arises when her homeroom teacher, Mizokuchi, threatens her, and classmate Yamanouchi betrays her. Unfazed, Michiko begins plotting her revenge. Reviews
This movie screams "made by a 12 year old". I have seen some pretty terrible movies in my life but I think this one might take the cake.
From teachers witnessing students trying to kill other students and not care, from "selling yourself" to pedos. Who the fuck came up with this? If you make a game your whole personality -- you need help.
There was nothing and I mean NOTHING good about this movie. The terrible acting. The terrible storyline.
It's like IMVU on crack. Bro, it's not that deep and those that played it sure in hell weren't out killing people or ruining people's lives.
They're all supposed to be in school. 15. They are 15 and put cults to shame. I regret ever trying to even watch this. The only thing that just keeps looping in my brain is WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!
It's irritating and a waste of time. Not creepy. Not horror. Not thriller. Just a bunch of ill teenagers pressed over a game.
