Reviews
- While the majority of the movie isn't very scary, there are certainly quite a few disturbing scenes that are really shocking and tough to see
- It seems that the "horror" elements of the plot are purposeful and have interest in developing the plot
Cons:
- The mystery wasn't very interesting and the execution was very lacking compared to the original
- It was hard to keep attention to most of the movie, due to lack of interest in the story of character
- There was also not really much to make the movie feel unique in regards to presentation (sound direction/cinematography)
Final thoughts:
The original The Eye is far better and worth every second of watching. While this shares similar elements, the execution was just too bland and made it feel like a disappointment overall.

It's still scary, it's also quite impressive how this film binds the tension very strongly, which is indeed successful because the execution of the horror scenes often triggers adrenaline like the scene in the elevator (again) but in a different way from the first film, but extremely intense. It was from this scene that the topic of reincarnation began to emerge, where many ghosts were close to pregnant women in order to be reincarnated.
But unfortunately, like in the first film, I like the first and second act but the third act is very ridiculous, it feels tense but it looks stupid in my opinion. Whether it's because Joey failed to think, cause i think no matter how bad the ghosts are, if they go back to being babies, they won't remember anything about their past lives, and it's up to them as parents to direct them in the right direction.
Overall, still I love it, also great ending.
