The first half is immersive. The secret trick is also reminiscent, the nervous breakdown is the mind of the person, and it is difficult to take what is reality and what is fantasy. Above all, the expression and acting of the character that changes moment by moment is the highest point. In short "Jang Hang Joon" is a medium movie for more, since the elemental composition that compose it contributes significantly in conjunction than individually.

I heard about how amazing this movie was from a couple of people. Okay, tiktok. I heard it on tiktok. But when you see it's on numerous people's lists of "must watch" - you can't help but to think "Oh this is going to be such a amazing movie!"
*Insert Jim Carry freaking out in Liar Liar*
You know the saying "One million people can't be wrong."? ... Well... this group of people can be. Lol Okay, no, they aren't wrong. That's just me being a dick. Lol they really aren't wrong. The movie isn't bad. It just wasn't my thing. I feel like I should have been on drugs to watch this movie.
It's just hate being confused, y'all. With a freaking passion I hate it. This movie kept me confused up till the verrrryyyyyyyyy very very end. So I give them that, it keeps you on your toes. It's just the constant "What the hell is happening?" that I kept asking every five seconds drove me nuts. Lol I felt mind fucked. I don't like that feeling!!
As for the acting I enjoyed all of it except the "parents", the dad just I don't know... I wasn't a fan. But the mother's acting was really good. They all were minus the dad... unless he was supposed to be that way? Huh... Who knows! I really liked the main character though. Sucks he went through all of that.
The storyline itself was a new one for me. I didn't expect that or see that coming. Not going to lie though, I expected more OOMPH from this, but it didn't really give me that. Unless it did but my brain was to clouded with "What. The. Hell. Is. Happening?" lol
Would I recommend this? Yes. Would I say I personally liked it, no. But again that is because of how it made me feel. I'm pretty sure this would have been a easy 10 if my own head didn't get in the way. Haha

the penthouse of crime genres
I really can't think of a good rating for the writing, the 1st time I watched it I really thought it had alot of twists and progress that it was amazing, but during my rewatch that point was the weakest link. it just looked like a combination of 4 or so movies. too many things happened to the point that one would think "is this originality or is this The Penthouse"1st we had the brother's kidnapping, then he returns and he's being suspiciously unlike himself and that was the engaging part until the police station scene where we realize it's not 1997 and he's not 21
I think that's the point where most movies would've stopped, one bug plot twist is enough, but no we get another twist which is the ml is a murder suspect and we reach the 2nd big plot twist, it was an accidental murder.
but then they added another big twist that the husband planned the murder, but again worse twist the "brother" is the son and then they just end it with the biggest twist of all, THEY ALL COMMIT SUICIDE....................... wow just wow... I really see that as a cheap writing move, the writer couldn't think of "redemption" so they just killed off their main characters...
also at some points I was like, that song is so unfitting and annoying so again the "ost" was horrible as well
so why did I give this a 10? becasue at the time of my 1st watch it felt original and I loved the acting xD

Revenge and Broken Minds
The film shows how the mind can be both scary and unreliable, changing the way characters see the world. What’s even scarier is how the people we trust, especially family, can hurt us more than anything else. The real villains aren’t strangers, but those who should care for us. The film plays with the idea that the mind can be both terrifying and unreliable, as it twists and distorts reality under enough pressure. It also explores what people are willing to do to get revenge or save their loved ones, pushing them to make unimaginable choices. It’s a film that leaves a lasting impression due to its strong performances, gripping storytelling, and unforgettable plot twists. Was this review helpful to you?
got my brain twisted
I don't have much to say about the story. Didn't expect it to be such a tragedy. There were tons of hints being hinted at the beginning of the movie. I was foolish enough not to realize it lol.Acting wise is superb especially the leads. Welĺ, the most vital thing that stood out to me beside the acting is, the twist. I honestly think without the twist, this movie is just gonna be plain. Overall, I had a good time watching this. It's not the type of movie that would be easily forgotten cause the plot twist is strong. I don't enjoy rewatching movie with unpredictable twist cause the second time you watch it, it's never gonna be the same.

One of the best plot twist ever. Very well written and protrayed. All characters were spectacular and I was drawn by the story right away. Didn't see it coming even though I tried to understand I still didn't predict anything. The only thing I'm not a fan of was the ending for one of our main characters. It wasn't satisfying imo just unfair and leave you with a bittersweet taste... Though it was realistic in that way even though not everything was really realistic in the plot lmao Was this review helpful to you?

A Masteful Psychological Thriller In the Hitchcock Tradition!
This is a fantastic psychological thriller reminiscent of some of the best films of Alfred Hitchcock, the master of suspense. In fact, I’m sure he would have been delighted by a plot that has so many twists and unexpected layers that I seriously doubt that most viewers will be able to figure everything out until the final reveal. When a writer can keep the viewers on their toes, you know you’ve done your job well. This film is simply a work of art.The film opens in a seemingly generic plot of a family of four moving into a new house. Jin Seok has a strange sensation of having been there before, but he quickly dismisses it as a mere afterthought. However, he’s puzzled by a single room on the second floor that he’s told is forbidden to enter under any circumstances. From here, strange workings begin to occur. Noises in the middle of the night. Sounds that seem to come from the forbidden room above make Jin Seok wonder what is really going on. Things culminate one evening when he and his brother, Yoo Seok step out for the night when Yoo Seok sees that Jin Seok is unsettled. As Yoo Seok walks back to the house, Jin Seok witnesses several men abducting his brother by tossing him into a van and driving off. Yoo Seok returns 19 days later, but Jin Seok immediately notices that something isn’t right.
The film truly takes off from here because nothing is what it seems to be, and the viewer begins to struggle with Jin Seok and the reality of his situation. Is he hallucinating or dreaming about what’s been going on? Who is involved and why? Trust me. This movie has as many layers as an onion. Just when they’ve pulled back one layer, and you think you’ve got it figured out, a whole new layer is presented, and you’re left with yet another plot twist to unravel.
The writing, directing, and acting performances are all top-notch. Frankly, this may be the best thriller I’ve seen since “The Game,” which is another thriller that literally has the viewer guessing right up until the very end. That is a hallmark of masterful storytelling at its finest!

I’m confuzzled ?
this movie ruined me physically and mentally bro. I shed so many tears in this one movie and the fact they both died in the end. It’s like I didnt want them to die. I wanted them to stay alive even though he was wrong for killing his parents and his family. He did it because he asked to and I gave it 9 stars, but I wish the ending was different. this movie did so many mind tricks so me my face was like “😲🤔” the whole movie cause so many plot twists. but I low-key love this movie but I wouldn’t watch again. Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing plot twist!
Wow. Really good movie, this is truly what I expect when it is said that there’s a plot twist in a movie.Actually, I was expecting just a simple thriller film about kidnapping and it completely blew my mind and broke my heart.
It was great, at first intriguing but then the plot twits into a tragic and devastating story, I was heart-touched; I wanted to cry about 4 times.
I even felt terrible for the main character and what he had been through during all the movie.
Also the acting was excellent, I totally recommend this movie!

I recently just watched When Camellia Blooms and I am in love with Kang Ha-neul, so I was trying to find a movie with him in it. I must say that I do not see any Yong-sik or Ha-neul in this character. Kang Ha-neul totally transformed into someone else and it is brilliant. I am in love even more.
It is a very well done movie, definitely a must-see!
