This Story has so much potential to become much more interesting actually. But for me the storyline is too slow, I don't understand why it takes 3 years for the leads to admit their love? Starting with what I like about this drama :
1. I like the main leads, both their visual and acting.
2. There are a wicked side of the female lead, that I wish to see more. It's fun to watch. too bad there are only shown on few last episodes.
3. The second (or third) leads love story is much more interesting actually, I enjoy it much more than the main leads'.

What I don't like about this drama :
1. the storyline is too slow, lack of sweetness between two main leads, not to mention on how they keep denying that their love to each other
2. the time difference are unclear. It suddenly jump from the first year to the second year, and then suddenly it's already three years.
3. 15 episodes are too long, I think it can be shortened.

Overall acting are OK. But I don't think I will rewatch it again. maybe if I do, I'll just fast forward a lot :)

Stardust: A Fairytale

La Ong Dao (Stardust) is based on a novel of the same name. It was written in the early 1960s by a famous author Phanom Thian. Phanom Thian is also the author of the novel by which Massaya was adapted from, and most of his novels have been adapted over and over again into dramas.

I have watched both Massaya and La Ong Dao and I have noticed that both have a very mellow feel to it. It feels like you've transported into the 1960s summer and romantic music is playing in the background. I've also noticed that both dramas have romance between adopted siblings, which I suppose in the 1960s was even more acceptable than now.

I'll go into my assessment of this drama now. I personally enjoyed it.
Yes, it was frustrating in the beginning 6-7 episodes because of the male lead. However, La Ong Dao is a very easing going, breezy drama. Not a lot happens, and it's not as romantically charged as other Thai lakorns — but I think this is the charm of this drama.

Below I am going to list down things that might not be considered great, as well as things that are nice.

⌜Good Points⌟
1. Easy going plot
2. No face slapping (or well just one but it's really satisfying)
3. No crazy angst
4. Everyone gets what they deserve
5. No 2D evil person. You can understand how she became this way.
6. Amazing OST.
7. It's like a fairytale for fairytale lovers
8. The evil girl had good friends (not flame blowers)
9. ML doesn't let his GF say crap about FL. He's protective.
10. ML doesn't hide FL's heritage when he found out.

⌜Bad Points⌟
1. Slow paced. Some people might find it boring
2. Little to no skinship
3. The ML keeps trying to keep the FL close by calling her "sister" until ending EPs.
4. Story was predictable
5. Tanchai Sadayu still doesn't get love lmao~ oh well, he has me
6. ML is a drunkard bum. He is an alcoholic and has no job. Really embarrassing.
7. Sometimes it's hard to guess how much time has passed in the drama.
8. They don't get together until the final episode

You might not like this drama if you like fast-paced plot and romance. It doesn't have either of those. It's slow paced, like our normal daily life. It takes time and boils slowly. Most of you might not like that.

I think for the first 7 episodes I could not stand the ML. I wanted to slap him left right and center. And throw salt on the ML's GF so that the evil could just disappear. But by EP10 I began to relax and just watch the drama for what it was. If you're like me... you might enjoy this drama :)

This is a very plain, simple but overall adorable drama. This drama doesn't have a lot of romantic scenes, nor a lot of scenes with action, but it is very easy to keep up with it. But this drama is not for everyone, I can definitely tell you that!
It can get frustrating at times when both leads like each other and just keep denying their feelings for each other, but I (personally) understood that they were both scared in a way and it wasn't the right time based on a lot of factors (like the ML already had a girlfriend and had an obligation towards her).

There were a few things that bothered me:
1. The time frames were too abrupt. In some scenes, a few weeks passed just like that, and in others, a few years had passed.
2. The story was really slow. I feel that if they shortened it to 9 or 10 episodes, it would be better.
3. There wasn't a lot of action. Even though I personally didn't mind it, it would make the story better if it had some interesting scenes full of action.
4. The FL was too calm for my liking. When the "girlfriend" kept on insulting her, it would be better for her to show more emotions than to just listen to her and then calmly tell her something.
5. I expected more emotions from all the other characters ( Except for Rerngjai because she actually was the character that I enjoyed the most. She was straightforward and said what she thought! Just how I like it, XD)

Overall, it's a very good choice if you want to watch something plain, simple, with a few cute scenes and a simple storyline.
Well, if you read it to here, thank you very much.
P.S. I'm not very used to writing reviews so sorry if I didn't write it so well.

Okay, I love Tinsanart a lot. I basically finished this drama for her. The storyline was slow and very confusing as it jumps through the years on their "contract". The chemistry between the two leads sucked so much, I skipped finishing the drama. Usually, in a good drama, I skip to the scene of the main characters, but here I was skipping the unromantic scenes the directors tried to create between the two leads. The first half of the show tried it's best to be funny by adding some "silly" music in the background but there wasn't a part where I actually found funny. This was pretty much a show written by a 16-year-old. A lost princess taken under a wing by and man and practically forced to marry a guy she never met and she deals with hatred from an antagonist.

I'm trying to be honest ^_^ no offense

First of all the plot was simple with a little twist. The story was quite cute specially with the main lead. What I like about this series is that they make the main lead interactions adorable and although it is a bit draggy when it comes to the realization of both sides that they love each other (man to a woman)all in all it is a good drama to start with if your new to lakorn.
>they should make the character development a little fast and not too draggy (it took 3yrs for them to realize). In my opinion they suppress their feelings because technically they are raised as siblings. LOL
>they have too many episodes*__*
>One time to watch series.

In terms of acting. I enjoyed it very much. The music was okay. The plot was a little interesting as well. What I enjoyed the most was the ML role. So often in these like lai horns you see the ML act oblivious to the main girls feelings and being ridiculous about trying to manage multiple relationships. In this on, what stood out to me the most to me was that the ML did not allow the 2FL to drag him around by the nose. He wasn’t ignorant and he was not a pushover. I enjoyed his firmness the most. In terms of the FL, I liked her character in the beginning but after the halfway point, it got boring. She was smart, strong but I felt just a bit to depressing. She rode her feeling from an insult in episode 1 all the way the the 2nd to last episode. That’s just way too long. For me it’s not romance, it’s torture. Her feelings were initially hurt and the writers rode that out almost to the very end.

In addition I’m a sucker for great romance series even the ones that involve some complexities and little triangles but this one was unique in the sense that there was definitely love involved but there was really no romance. Don’t get me wrong I’m not talking about making out or anything what I mean is that there was no togetherness or unity or any sort of agreement until the last 10 minutes of the series. So you never really get to enjoy them excepting each other‘s feelings or officially dating or officially saying that they love each other. What you will get in the series is a matter of pushing and pulling for the first few episodes and then at that point it is a matter of stubbornness and pursuit. There’s no real relationships that take place between the two leads until the last 10 minutes of the series. So if you were looking for like a sweet romance where people are dating and fighting all odds and all that good stuff this one is definitely not it. They do seem to have OK chemistry but the FL had for her stance of a brick wall against the ML up to episode 14 so it wasn’t really that swoon worthy. Enjoyable somewhat if you can put up with a deranged girlfriend.

If I can described this in a few words, I would say “a person carrying hurt and insult is not entertaining.

Beautiful love Story

One needs to watch from the beginning to the end to fully enjoy this drama.
I have watched it several times. I love it.
Reasons:
Story- It is a unique story unlike any other Thai drama that has mainly to do with the arranged/suggested marriage.

The father left ML (Korakot) a condition (not forced) in his will suggested to marry FL (La Ong Dao - his adopted daughter) because of 2 reasons,
1. To continue to protect the princessLa Ong Dao,
2. To make sure that his stubborn and party animal son will have a loyal and loving wife that matched him. The ML can still avoid marrying FL because his father also left an exception which is up to the FL. They ended up getting together, not because of the condition in the will, but because of their real love.
Unlike any other Thai dramas, there is not much skin contact, but the feeling of love for each other is so pure, and their bickering is unique and innocent.

Acting:
The ML is super manly with deep, expressive eyes, and sexy lips. The FL holds elegant beauty and perfectly fit in this role as La Ong Dao.

ML: How he tries his best, being deeply in love with FL while being faithful to his GF (Padachamai). The way he calls FL"Dao" is so beautifully passionate. The way he looks at FL or the expression in his eyes when he is thinking about FL is priceless. He did an amazing job trying to portray a heart Broken man showing brotherly love to FL while actually deeply in love with FL (adopted sister, but hasn't met since childhood).

FL: She is just perfect. Unlike a FL in any other one sided-love story, she doesn't chase ML, she is just simply elegant, capable and well-mannered even though the ML is her first and only love of her life.

I can see there was already 1976 version & 1980 version both with young Pisan Akaraserani... That might be an interesting watch. There's also 2007 version with Aom Piyada, version with Ann Siriam... It all looks more interesting that version with Om & doll-like Nao Tisanart, I'm afraid.

The story doesn't hide that it's dated. Nang'ek is a destiny girl, whom pra'ek knows from childhood. Nang'rai is of course A GIRLFRIEND pra'ek originally dates, and acts like a harpy in her very first scene.

I had the same feelings as every time I watched this story. The man's character is not appealing. First, he dates a woman who has flaws, but had he really loved her he should have stayed with her anyways. I never thought it very romantic that he gradually - usually very gradually - leaves her for the main girl. The virgin. I don't like his behavior towards the main girl either. Mostly he judges and teases her with conceited smile. He is at awe at her beauty, without it, he would not as much as talked to her, really.

So, all this is exactly what modern romantic dramas try to improve. Not this one, apparently. My interest dropped as soon as episode 2. It felt I've already watched this, which in a way is true.
