We finally get to see the impact Daimon has done on the other doctors, both old and new. And even though Daimon still faces the same power struggle she has on the other seasons I feel that everyone finally sees and respect Daimon for what she is, which is something I've been waiting for.
The final episode gave me chills down my spine, it was probably the best episode of the show in my opinion. What a ride.
I highly doubt that there will be a 6th season but I will welcome it with all my heart.
Like Daimons catchphrase the shows never fails even though every episode follows pretty much the same formula and that is a hard feat. Especially when it's been going for so long that it has. And the fact that it is on it's 5th season is a good enough reason to watch this if you haven't since it quite rare for a Jdrama to get more than 2 seasons.
So I'm going to end this by saying if you haven't watch this yet, you are missing out. So do it now!!

While the format of each episode is pretty much the same, it's also one of the good points about the series. It makes it easy to follow and you don't really have to think about whether you missed out on some major plot element.
During this season you see many of the faces you got to know in earlier seasons while they introduce a few new ones. It was refreshing to see a semi- teacher/student relationship, as it shows Daimon in a way acknowledge someone else for their skills.
Her catchphrase, "I never fail" might've gotten a bit old after 5 seasons, but it's also one of the lines you expect. When you hear it, you also know that things will be all right. If there's one thing I missed and I hope they do something about if they create a new season, its that she starts her own clinic/hospital. That would be interesting to see if you think back a couple of seasons.

This is one of the Best Medicale Series I've ever watched!I'm an avid fan of Doctor X, if I sound bias on my Review so be it. :-)
STORY:
If you happened to watched the previous seasons of Doctor X you would know that each episodes are not connected to each other or should I say each episode has its own story aside from the fact that they were all doctored by Daimon. Every episode has its won promising story but what made this season special was the last episode. Why? Sorry but this is a spoiler, Daimon herself will become a patient. That was the biggest twist in this story. Daimon usually say "I Never Failed" as a doctor but in this season she said the she never failed as a patient as well. As to the reason why, well you should watch it.
CAST/ACTING SKILSS:
Honestly I am not that kind of person who is knowledgeable about some medical terms or jargons that were being used in the field of medicine however this series wont make you feel indifferent. It's all because of the story as well as the actingh skills of the characters involved. The characters made every scene a reality. This was not an easy to made series you need to make those scence real especially the scene inside the operating room or else it will look hilarious is it was not done well. Daimon has been consistent in her acting since Season 1 it seems like all seasons were filmed in just one month. She's totally amazing.
MUSIC:
The story will carry you to a different dimension and music is not necesarry for this to happened so I did not put enough attention to it.
REWATCH VALUE:
Actually this was the seond time I watched this Series (Season 5). I've already watched it before without the subtitle but I was not able to appreciate it cause I can't understand it. But if one of my friends would watch it I would definitely watch it together with him/her.!

From non-so-great to just awful
I sincerely don't understand the high scores of this season, in my opinion the absolute worst of the entire show. This season had all the potential as the very start, meaning when they introduced a female director who not only was clean, who not only took away from Hiruma all the remaning powers he had, but she also entered directly in the battle being the only one of all the directors of this show to actually perform a surgery, albeit the at this point Mary Sue Daimon Michiko still had to enter and save the day. Great stuff that promised something new...that it didn't appear because it was immediately squashed by Hiruma gaining AGAIN power and then proceding to envision an hell on earth for the Mary Sue Daimon Michiko that it didn't appear. What appeared instead? bad episode after bad episode after bad episode of Daimon Michiko being as Mary Suish as it can get, with all the opposition to her being demolished and her becoming the facto the director of the Totei university while performing completely nonsensical and silly operations, well beyond the remotely believable limit and with contrived endings with zero sense to speak of. All accompanied by tired actors giving tired performances because somebody paid them a check. I really wonder what happened to the people who made the first three seasons, hands down the peak of this entire show and the only ones I would recommend to anyone to check out.Was this review helpful to you?
