I have had my fair share of sad Japanese movies and dramas but by far Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide is the one thee saddest drama I have ever come across.

It's based off a true story, which just kills you a little more inside as you watch. A 15 year old boy who is so ambitious about school and life suddenly finds out he has a tumor in his brain. Just knowing that alone, your heart breaks a little inside. He had so many goals for his future and for this sudden news to come out of nowhere, Keisuke falls into despair and becomes rebellious and has given up on everything in a way.

I have cried during many movies and dramas but this one, this one had me crying buckets. I paused this so many times because I couldn't breathe or my eyes were too watery to read the subtitles.

That's when you know the cast did a phenomenal job at acting. Ryo. Oh Nishikido Ryo. When he cries, boy can he cry. His acting is always amazing. But I think this has to be one of my favorite works from him. His scenes where he lashed out at his mother felt so real and emotional. With that, Hitomi Kuroki, did an outstanding job as Keisuke's mother. The scenes with her and Ryo were just amazing. Everything felt so real. Too real even.

This is a real tearjerker. Just thinking about it makes me want to tear up. If you decide to watch it, please be prepared with a box of tissues. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to see a sad movie or loves tearjerkers.

Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide is a fictional story based on true events. This Tearjerker is the story of the sufferings of a boy which in the early age of 15 was told that he had Tumors in his brain, or braincancer. I Will keep this review without spoilers.

Kawai Keisuke is a boy who loves to study. He is looking forward to going to school, Eagerly study and always has fun joking around with his family and friends. Or atleast this is the life he had been leading in the past. Lately he has been having these horrible headaches causing studying nearly impossible, But he doesn't give in. His mother quickly notices that something is out of the ordinary, He never was like this in the past. Trying to talk her son into going to the hospital turns out to be of no good, So only with a twist of fate, He needs to be taken to the hospital.
About to leave the hospital to go home and study, His parents come in quickly while talking to him. They've just gotten the message.. Their 15 Year old son, they have been told that he will have no longer than a year at the most to live. Keisuke figures that having headaches is something we all can get so he doesn't think twice about it. Telling his mother straight out ''The doctor didn't say there was anything wrong with me right, So just let me leave..'' His mother halfway in tears already starts to tell his son about his fate, And from here starts the life of Keisuke, A boy with a life outside of the usuall. How will he live on from here, And will he manage to overcome his hardships along the way the illness?.

This story, I really had big expectations from it after having read the description. And it definately didn't let me down. After only 30 minutes watching, I was left in tears. It didn't change later either. It keeps your tears comming out. Its definately not a mustwatch if you aren't into Tearjerkers..

I'll recommend this drama to all dramafans out there who aren't afraid to shed tears. Even those who doesn't cry easily, Will be able to shed a couple of tears here..

R.I.P Kawai Keisuke..

I'm going to be completely honest; I didn't even make it halfway through the show before I started crying. Even though you know the main character is going to die and that the show will most likely be sad, you have no idea how much you are going to cry! I can't even begin to imagine how horrifying it would be to get a cancer diagnosis and how difficult it would be to literally fight for your life only to know that you are going to die young. The cast was phenomenal. Let me say it again; the cast was phenomenal! If you decide to watch this (and you should!) make sure you have plenty of tissues handy and something happy to look at once you're done.

Wow, Just Wow.

To be honest, I didn't find this Movie on MyDramaList or YouTube. I found it on TikTok. Someone had posted a short bit of Niini at the table having the trimmers in front of his family. I decided to watch it from that 30 second part of the Movie.
I tell you what, this Movie not only had a good story, but the ACTING. The acting was perfect. I have cried so much throughout this Movie. I think I cried the most when he ran away from hospital, trashing his room and getting angry at his family.
One of the best Japanese Movies I have EVER seen. I would suggest you watch this, have tissues on hand. If you're putting this Movie off because its from 2009, you'll regret it. I gave this review rating a 10/10 cos it deserves so much praise.

Mom, Finally I Figured Out Why was I Born to This World

In the first half, this movie seems to be like the ordinary diseased people story. But it wasn't.

Compared to other, I think the depression and stress that this movie brings can make you questioning God about life He has given.

I was left speechless when ML starts to rage and being such a disobey to his parent. Trying to kill himself, broke the windows, and just making a mess when he was supposedly to sleep on hospital's bed. He was so real for that, the acting was superb.

He was afraid, of course. He was depressed. But his family, his mother, is the best thing that God has given to him. I mean, who's not depressed in life? Who doesn't suffer in life. Everyone's suffering. Don't think like you are the only one who is unfortunate, that is not true.

The end was so satisfying. Brought me tears and happiness altogether. ML is such a good kid afterall, his parent raised him well.

Then, just be grateful for be born to this world. Be grateful for the love you have received from your parent and family. That is the blessing, the biggest gift God has ever given to you. Be kind to them, don't go against their hopes, and keep your smile, until the end of the time. Good luck!
