I'm amazed and happy with this improved season of Crime Scene. The pacing was better and the stakes were higher in each case. And that finale! Just wow and I literally applauded in amazement and shocked all throughout the last 2 episodes.

Story - Although I loved season 1 due to having their cases based on true murder crimes that happened in reality, season 2 focused on creativity and raising the suspicions in each suspects in the cases. There were multiple times that I was unsure of my prime suspect until the very end. I loved the twists and turns in each cases. My personal favorites would be: Ep 3, Ep 4: The Pageant Murder, Ep 7-8: The Cruise Ship, Ep 11: The Cabin and of course the awesome finale 12-13.

Acting/Cast - I miss some of the cast members of season 1 but season 2 was strong with the 5 main cast. They were really funny that I found myself laughing out loud countless times and also they were smart in deducting the cases. Last season my favorite was Hong Jin Ho, but in this season I would give it to Jang Jin. He was the best in deducting and connecting the clues into puzzle pieces and to conclude into one perfect story. He was also great in acting the characters that he was given. The most improved from Episode 1 until the Finale would be Hani. She finally found her stride in the cases after a few episodes. All the guests were great and each of them had me hoping they would be also added to the main cast especially Kim Ji Hoon, Xiumin and Kwon Boa. I also love seeing Kim Min Hyuk, NS Yoon Ji, and Jun Hyun Moo as their appearances in the cases brought back season 1 memories. One small thing I would love to see progress which didn't happen was the role of the Assistant Detective. I had hoped he was given more things to do other than just appearing in the beginning and in interrogation.

Music - I loved how they added music to some scenes that added flavor to the cases. There were romantic, funny, scary, and even sad music that were added during the episodes which was an improvement also in this season.

Rewatch Value: Similar to last season, I rated it the lowest because there's no suspense and thrill anymore if you rewatch it.

Overall: 9.5/10. This season was an amazing roller coaster ride. I will miss the amazing cast in this season as I saw that there were some names that are not in season 3.

Here I go, Season 3!

Upgrade from Crime Scene 1 that will never disappoint you

The story format was upgraded from the previous Crime Scene 1. From episode 1, it already had an unexpected mock deduction skills exam which surprised the casts of the season. The stories no longer relates to a real life story which at the beginning I find a bit disappointing but case after case, I realized that it doesn't make the show less interesting because they actually became more creative. The set is upgraded as well and shows more location to investigate. There are some episodes as well that gives plot twists and unexpected sequel to it. I'm not sure if the casts became better in finding clues or if I became better analyzing the scenario or if the story became easier that I was able to guess most of the criminal if not all. But overall it's still fun. This season became more flavorful. It inserts subtle drama, romance and comedy without ruining it's own purpose, mystery.

I think this season has a better set of castings plus the detective genius and deducting queen is still here. The guests are also quite good in deducting. They inserted the role detective for every episode and everyone did their best whenever their turn for being a detective comes up. The last 2 episodes are really a bang because they invited a real professional in terms of investigation and really gave conclusive clues in solving the crime although he didn't guessed the criminal correctly. And before I forgot, they added a very handsome Assistant Detective in this season which is double thumbs up for me.

They still use the infamous Crime Scene voices and sound effects which always add thrills to the episodes.

Whichever season it is, Crime Scene is still the best for me. ♥️

best season of Crime Scene

I remembered I watch Crime Scene Season 2 when Xiumin became a guest, then I took interest on watching this show
the first season I watched was season 2, because it was on going, then season 1, then the last one was season 3
I gotta say that season 2 is still the best season among 3 seasons
the 5 main casts were great and have great chemistry
I gotta say that both Hong Jinho and Park Jiyoon were the central of crime scene, I just can't imagine Crime Scene without the two of them
Jang Dongmin, surprisingly smart in sly way
Jang Jin, even though he's not always "right" but he always give another perspective and thinking out of the box
Hani, I love her the most, she's smart and like the heart of this season

for guest ofc my fave was Xiumin, and also Kim Jihoon
both appeared 3 times and really did great in all their appearance
