CHARACTERS: A bit over the top for my tastes, but I think it's on purpose. However, great acting and authentic character development! (Plus, I loved Kuranosuke's fashion <3)
SCENERY: The Amamizukan is such a nice place to live, I would move there in an instant! Also, the whole jellyfish theme: so aesthetic!
Would recommend to someone who: likes jellyfish ('cause they are like everywhere haha) and fashion / wants to watch something that breaks a few cliches / feels kinda otaku / wants to learn something about life and how to survive in a healthy way

Jelly Yesh! A
I am watching this because of Kyoko-chan Yoshine without watching the anime but I have already watched the other version of Princess Jellyfish movie starring Suda-kun.With the comparison of the movie and drama (both live-action) obviously my favorite one is the drama which played by Kyo-chan. Hehehe I'm biased her. Of course!
After watching the drama, all I could say was, all the episodes was so hilarious even the characters! I know that the characters are overwhelmed by their acting but I find it very funny and they are so good. I think they just act naturally! Hahaha! Seriously. Even the father of Kuranosuke that I bursted to laugh and his younger brother, and so on! All of them are so FUNNY!! (Hindi ko na sila maisa-isa, basta silang lahat ay nakakatawa!)
I have no knowledge in fashion so, it made me bored to watch those clothes. LOL!
The music title A New Day by Beverly is my ALL TIME FAVORITE! I already have on my playlist.?
The ending was cliffhanger and those unsettle feelings of the characters to each other are quite disappointing. Well, IDK, but that's it.

A Plausible Fairy Tale
At first glance, I was put off by the unpalatable appearances of the women. An afro with no eyes, a supposedly beautiful Rio Uchida with her eyes obscured by bangs, and others whom I didn't really notice at the start. It seemed like an outlandish gaudy manga-genre drama full of overblown expressions and contorted faces. Indeed, right at the start, the main protagonists was presented as either anthrophobic or autistic, and it was exhausting watching her, but almost 5min into the show, I found myself feeling comfortable and relaxed, for under all the alien appearances and an entire household of creepy eccentric women-creatures, you could sense their loneliness, innocence, longing for love and acceptance, and the similar fear of the outside world. The story progressed, soon blooming into a romance (no spoilers here), and what I appreciate is that unlike other dramas, you won't see a sweet budding romance quickly warp into a sensual bed scene, or some rivalry in love turn into ugly backstabbing. Moreover, everyone in the show are pleasant, if not funny, and everyone has their parts culminate into an agreeable 'ever-after' ending. I feel refreshed and my heart sweetened by the innocence and sweetness of the story, be it camaraderie among inhabitants of the household, brotherly/family bonds of the politician's family.
Almost after finishing the last episode, my feeling was.... I don't mind re-watching it again, now. I guess that sums it up.

I didn' t watch the anime or the movie so I'll just write what I felt about it.
First, the overall acting was just overreaction. I guess thats what I had to expect from a manga based drama but I'm not a fan of overreacting movements so I had a hard time stopping myself from cringing.
Second, Seto Koji dressing as a girl was surprisingly natural I was mad at myself whenever I saw the mirror. (I would really believe he is a girl if I only see his face.
Third, the end of the drama was trying to teach lessons so I was going "Ey I live as I want" but I guess some people who have no brains might learn some pretty OBVIOUS stuff.
Lastly people just watch this cuz Seto Koji was a complete precious boy here. (I mostly skipped him as a girl.. It made me test my gender
Skipping him as a girl was literally skipping the whole drama...... what am I even saying.....

This took me way too ling for a 10 ep drama and I browsed through the last 3 episodes.
I lost interest big time around the halfway point. For me it kind of lost its original sparkle? And charisma....
The pros:
-If you love unique character design this is for you. My personal faves were kuranosuke and the driver hanamori.
-Fashion. Big time. I totally got some style inspiration from this and I really have to applaud the stylist for the stunning outfits and especially kuranosukes cross dressing!
-Overall flair. I admit I feel like it was list in the latter half nonetheless, tgis drama has a very unique concept and overall plot.
- maybe if you read the manga and/or watched the anime this might be on your nostalgia list.
The cons:
-this might be harder to enjoy for ppl who never or rarely watch animes since it is a live action and these tend to be a bit more on the high energy overacted side.
- dissapointing latter half. Around episode 6 this drama kind of lost my interest. It started to get more crammed and lost alot of the comedic element and eccentric character.
-very lacking romance. If you came here for the romance tag. Sigh, sry to dissapoint you but there's not really alot of romance involved. Yes it is part of thr plot but I actually think it's very anticlimactic and there's practically no chemistry.
(Seto koji is stunning in this btw)

it was talking about character development and how to accept each other
the characters spoiled it
i saw their acting were overreacting
and i couldn't bear when they make their sound thick as a kind of being funny
it wasn't funny at all
they should remove comedy from the genre
it was crime to say this sh** was comedy
i didn't even smile
the fashions were awful
the end was somehow open one, although both leads loved each other
the most annoying characters for me were
banba & mayaya both were horrible literally this wasn't autism nor something mentally
this was kind of sh**
i dislike the show and began to give up totally JD
after (from 5 to 9 ) & (we married as a job)
i couldn't find something good as them to watch till now
