Sitting on a star looking for the moon

 Welcome to my little dramaworld☆

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. Im Peppersqueak and Im a big drama lover and critic.                      Here is a little bit about me :)

My Quote of the month:

For mom, the nature, cooking, and her love for me have been her little forest. I should find my own forest too. ~ Hye-Won "My little forest"

Countries I watch dramas from:

It really just depends on my mood and what I currently like.

How I rate my dramas/movies:

Im a very critical viewer and it reflects in my ratings. I is not easy to 100 percent please me, but if I rate a drama high you can be completely sure I loved it.

I use the whole rating scale from 1-10 almost just as it's described.

1 - 2.5I've never seen anything as bad as this.
3 - 4.5I personally didn't enjoy the drama
Meh!
6Average at best
6.5It had it's good moments
7 - 7.5I liked this drama would recommend
8 - 8.5I loved this drama/movie
9 - 10Legendary for me. This will go down as my top drama/movie of all time

I do ask for recommendations from times to time, however I won't bias rate :)

Me like:

- Stories with thoughtful writing and well developed characters

- A little bit of social commentary and realistic          problems

- The life and sometimes slice of life genre.

- Negative trope and stereotype free characters      if  possible.

- Beautiful nature and cinematography

- I love watching characters grow and do their            best.

- Well paced development and story buildup

- Happy or happy open endings                                      Mr. Moon said it best ;)

Me dislike:

- desperate secondary characters

-Weak FMLs without self respect

-Too much graphic violence

- Scheming

-possesive characters that have  no sense of space or privacy

- Business stuff my brain can't handle

- WAyyyy too many episodes

- Type casting

- Forced Aegyo. MAKE IT STOP

     How I got into dramas:

I actually don't remember how I got into dramas  that clearly. I think it was one fine day browsing                  around on YouTube.
That's how I found my first drama and movie.
      As I already mentioned it's been a while but I think these were my first drama and movies;

100 Days with Mr. Arrogant

Eat Drink Man Woman
  Eat Drink Man Woman
I think I started watching dramas more and more, especially after discovering the giant mydramalist
library that I already used even before officially becoming a member in 2019.
Im glad I got to know so many people with the same hobby as me after joining :)

Don´t mind me, Im just praying to the dramagods for blessings

                                My Character Hall of Fame

                                                                                                    under construction....

Jang Dan Bi and King Se Jong

               Splash Splash love

Altough Splash Splash love is a special and only around 2 hours long, it has been one of my favorites for a long time now.
Jang Dan Bi is maybe the most relatable time travel heroine out there.
There is no  ground breaking reason why she time travels besides the desperate wish to " disappear".
Her abilities are remarkable and she proves herself as a very smart and warmhearted person.

She is also one of the quirkiest and naturally funny FMLs out
there.

Her relationship with King Sejong is the CUTEST thing ever! They are literally made for each other!
I cannot describe how these two made me feel.
King Se Jong is just so precious. His young spirit really shines through the burdensome role as the king and he just turns out to be the most mischievous and curious royalty ever.

Still he is very wise and has a surpringly mature side. I actually have two quotes of him saved on my phone.
All in all such a refreshing and unconventional couple that really gives you to think about.

At first, you only see the brightest star.
But if you keep looking,
See? The less bright ones eventually start to shine more brightly.

The stars are not actually shining brighter,
but the person's will to see them is becoming bigger.

Shin Min Ho

A poem a Day

Actually Min Ho is a character I dont really know how he made his way into my heart.
In the beginning he is bratty, mean and selfish having the maturity of a teen goldfish. Always saying " Im kidding" and making everyone irritated.

It seemsed like a nice change that the sml wasnt such a hopeless sweetheart and romantic.
He actually grew so much as a person in the series and although childish and immature at times I just couldnt be mad at him. His actions were actually quite understandable and realistic.

Actually him getting to know his feelings properly and standing his man made me really proud.
Also the other characters started to recognize that, hey is actually a nice guy!
From a lazy brat to a understanding friend.
