Story : The story line is pretty basic. No new side. Competition between 2 guys, on sport and with the woman they like. Sometimes it's kinda boring but it was not. Everything was softly realised so I couldn't get boring of a characters. We can NOTICE other stories in addition of competition, I mean other relationships/ Link such as :
- The guys
-the guys with their parents (father for one and grandpa for another)
-The guys with the girl they like
-The girls
-The girls with the guy they like
Lets talk about the concept : Yuri on ice , sport, olympic games
The timing was perfect for the drama, we all are on it. With a little touch of fun, very fresh and warm
Lets talk about Camera.
They way that they film the guys racing on ice was so interesting. I was on my bed while watching it, but I feel like flying, I feel so light. I was totally IMMERSED.
The drama was maybe short, but it was perfect like that, too many eps would waste the drama, make it boring and deja vu.
Even the story was not that original, it was very interesting and fun to watch it ~

Great miniseries
The story might not be new with two main leads competing in sports but that's absolutely okay because the drama is entertaining. I laughed a lot in the first episode, the humor was exactly my cup of tea.For those looking for bromance, well, I see why it's tagged as such because there are scenes of three boys sleeping in one room and accidentally end up cuddling but calling it a bromance is misinterpreting. This drama has no bromance like you see in Goblin or other dramas. It's more like a friendship and sharing the same passion, short track speed skating. That's not a minus though.
The story is perfectly paced in the four episodes. I was a bit sad when it was over, in length it's more like a movie than a drama.
With a bit more focus and backstory on side characters and more scenes of their competitions and trainings it could totally be a longer drama.
The characters are well written and likeable. We even get bits of character development which I don't take for granted in a short drama with only four episodes, even though the shortness makes this development seem a bit abrupt.
In my opinion the cast did a great job. I didn't see any flaws or bad acting.
As for the music, the main theme got into my ears rather fast because the tune is catchy. So definitely another plus.
Would rewatch this drama anytime when I'm in need of something entertaining and light.
Overall a really good watch that I wholeheartedly recommend to check out.

First OCN romance that I didn't find boring
One thing that I like about Asian shows, particularly Korean dramas, is the vast variety of shows about different sports, jobs, and genres. This drama is one of them, as it revolves around skating. This is my first time watching a show about skaters, so the storyline is new and fresh to me.As this is a minidrama with only 4 episodes, I won't rate it heavily. Their acting skills are all fine, and the arguments of Kang Hoyoung (Kang Tae Oh) and Park Eunho (Yeo Hoi-Hyeon) are fun to watch. Usually, I don't find the main leads in short dramas entertaining, but both of them did a great job. The plot is nice, and if you are looking for a short, fun minidrama, then I recommend this for you. Surprisingly, even though this is a short drama, the ending is not rushed, and the flow of the story is enjoyable. Yes, this is the first OCN romance that I liked, but the romance here is not that much since it only has 4 episodes. A 7/10.

Great Found Family but Useless Romance
Completed - 9/18/2022 - 7.75 Rating“Short” is a very short drama about short track speed skating (see my puns? LOL). In four episodes, this drama covers a lot - training, competition, family, friendship and romance. There’s a lot to like about this drama and also a few areas I don’t like very much.
What I Like:
1. Found Family - I love all the scenes at the boarding house. The cozy and comfortable feeling, and friendly banter between friends and families. Having family meals together is the best thing!
2. Rivalry to Camaraderie - As with many similar dramas, the drama started with the rivalry between the two male leads, a veteran super star vs a newly discovered rising star. I enjoy all the scenes of them together.
3. Parents/Children relationship - We see the contrasting relationships between Man Bok & his mother and Eun Ho & his father. Though Man Bok is poor financially, his relationship with his mom and sister is rich in every other aspect. A loving mother to everyone and a loving and responsible son. On the other hand, Eun Ho is rich yet his relationship with his father is cold. He has to find comfort and warmth in the boarding house.
What I have Mixed Feelings:
1. Romance - Romance is really unnecessary and this is a big criticism coming from me since I am a romance lover. With only 4 short episodes, I would love to see more about friendship, family and competition. I don’t see why the two male leads are attracted to Jin Na at all. She might be pretty, but then what else? If I have to choose romance, I would love to see more of Man Hee and her new crush.
2. K-pop - similar to romance, the whole K-pop audition storyline could be eliminated. It doesn’t bring much to the drama. Also, they should have let the actress sing during her audition instead of playing a different song.
3. Skating scenes - I feel that there isn’t enough competition or racing scenes in this drama that’s about speed skating. The few that we have are not exciting enough. I am especially disappointed in the Olympic trials. No exciting racing scenes at all. I didn’t even know the leads were reaching the finish line until they announced the winner.
Other Random Observations:
1. Kim Do Yeon can really dance.
2. I noticed the skating scenes seem to be slower than in C-dramas such as “To Fly with You”. Maybe C-dramas speed up those scenes digitally?

Dalla competizione astiosa all'amicizia solidale.
