First of all, Story. The plot is very complex and interesting. At the beginning it's a typical romance but it soon turns out to be more than that. Actually it's a drama about the older generation. The reason why I gave this drama a "2" and that is "dreadful" for the story is because it turns out to be a pretty sad drama. If you like positive, funny, romance stories, do not watch this drama. This series is full of awful characters that got on my nerves all the time.
Second thing is Acting. Most of the actors did a great job especially the older ones. I only gave "7" for acting because I think that one of the main couples, Joo Young and Woo Bin didn't act very well. For me their acting was unrealistic and they didn't show the right emotions.
Music, well, music was good, but it was often too much like in typical soup operas.
When it comes to rewatch value, I gave it a "1" because I would never watch it again. It's just that the plot went into the wrong direction and like I said before, it's a sad kind of drama. Overall I gave it a "5" because it has a lot of postive aspects but also a lot of negavite ones. I hope my review will be somehow helpful to all of you who haven't watched it yet.

Story: Up till about the 26th episode, this drama was pitch-perfect rom-com. The meddling second-leads' presence was overshadowed by the leads, both main couples had cute stories, the laughs were abundant and the angst was minimal. After that, the whole show went off its rockers. Suddenly the angst and the second leads were everywhere, and the laughs were gone. Oh, and that title? "A Thousand Kisses"? Total misnomer. We got a grand total of maybe five and most were from the secondary couple. Not that I'm complaining- I was only in it for Ryu Jin and Kim So Eun. Their story really stole the show- but it honestly wasn't anything new. In fact, nothing in this drama was original. It was just a hodgepodge of random drama cliches thrown together and we wound up with something that could have gotten maybe a 8/10 had the writer not suffered a sudden lobotomy in the second half and the story got out of control. It randomly shifted gears in the second half from focusing on the two couples to focusing on Cha Hwa Yun's character. The random plot change came out of the left field and really killed my love for ATK.
Acting: I love Ji Hyun Woo. In the right role, he really shines. Here, however, I kind of wanted to shake him by the shoulders and tell him to get his act together. His performance was decidedly sub-par and could have been a lot better. Seo Young Hee was great, Kim So Eun was bubbly and bright, and Ryu Jin put his all into his performance. I was surprised by the chemistry Ryu Jin and Kim So Eun had, considering their real life 20 year gap. Surprisingly, they pulled it off. Ji Hyun Woo's and Seo Young Hee's chemistry was fine, but I really felt nothing from that couple. Their relationship made sense on paper, but when I watched them together they seemed more like friends? I don't know, that was just my impression. Other viewers probably feel different.
Music: Random ballads and maybe a cute pop song thrown in? Nothing remarkable.
Rewatch Value: Certain scenes from the first half, definitely. Not touching the second half with a twenty-foot pole.
Overall: I really wish this had been better. That's all I can say.

This review may contain spoilers
in the beginning i was hooked. i loved to story line and the actors. but after like 20 episodes i started to get annoyed on how the story was still being dragged out. that was when i accidentlys saw a music video about the drama containing spoilers. after learning about that spoiler i just couldn't watch it anymore. there was literally no purpose. i wouldn't reccomend this to people but it was rather decent Was this review helpful to you?
This fact wouldn't be so terrible if there was any progress with these "bad" characters. The problem is that there isn't. In every episode, again and again and again, the same people cause the same problems with the same victims. It's like watching a car drive into a wall, reverse, drive into the same wall, reverse, drive into the same wall... until the drama ends.
Another thing I feel I should mention very quickly is that it is not a typical romance drama. The story eventually shifts towards another character, and their storyline is absolutely heartbreaking - genuinely painful to watch, at times. But sadly, the emotional "punch" of these parts are diluted by the boring, monotonous, and unchanging characters and plotlines we are given, which totally drown and drag out everything else.
Anyway - in conclusion. :) For story I have given 5, as despite the drama being boring overall, there are some really cute scenes and some incredible, heartbreaking moments - it's just a shame you have to search through a load of filler to find them. If the drama had been shortened to 25 episodes, this score would be much higher.
The actors I have given an 8. They aren't the ones who write the drama, and so for the scripts they were given each person acted out their part incredibly well. The music was well-written and really cute, but for something 50 episodes long you do need a little more variation, hence the 7. Finally, the re-watch value is a resounding 2. I would have dropped it to a 1, but as A Thousand Kisses was the very first drama I ever watched, I might dip in and out of it again for nostalgia's sake. However, that is very unlikely...

This is a romance drama, not a comedy, but there were funny moments, happy moments and poignant moments where the tears fell.
This drama has key kdrama ingredients:
rich vs poor, chaebol sons, struggling young women, birth secrets, a car wreck, a scary mother in law, a scheming ex girlfriend, almost a shower scene, a piggy back ride, some extreme drinking to the point of passing out, Soju, Karaoke, illness, car wreck oh and the hair and clothing of the cast was well done.
Some background on the couples:
Woo Joo-Young is the eldest daughter of an average family who strives for success after dealing with a cheating husband and then a divorce.
Woo Joo-Mi is the younger daughter to Joo-Young. The girls were mostly raised by their grandmother Cha Kyung-Soon.
The older sister Joo-young takes her son Chan-noh to a soccer game and meets Jang Woo-bin, a former national soccer player who’s now a sports agent. They become very close.
Woo-bin is a chaebol’s son and his parents force the couple to break up due to their differences in age, social status and life experience.
The yonger sister Joo-young ends up meeting and dating chaebols son Jang Woo-jin. Woo-jin has never been serious about a woman before because he is afraid he would be cold and cruel like his father, so he resists Joo-Mi for awhile, then one day he realizes he is in love with her and very happy.
The chaebols, Woo-jin and Woo-bin also happen to be cousins.
As with most good kdrama romances, I fell in love with one of the leads, Woo-bin. And I felt admiration for the female lead who I thought was very strong, yet kind, Joo-young. I really enjoyed this drama and recommend it, but admit that I had to watch several episodes before becoming addicted, and then I was "marathoning" it over the week end.

I was enjoying watching this up until 5 or 8 episodes past half of the series. I noticed that there was a change of pace and focus of the story, I was thinking that maybe they had a change of writer?? Nonetheless it was enjoyable to watch up to the mentioned timelines and the rest is just meh.

A Thousand Kisses? I don't recall more than 2. Right from the very beginning we were introduced to her serial cheater husband who was caught multiple times and was forgiven every time. That was a big telltale sign for how the drama was going to be, and it turned out to be exactly so. In short, this is a 50 episodes kdrama stretched to oblivion about extremely improbable probabilities. The last 20 episodes weren't even about the main leads, it's like they cut them out and got back to them on the last episode. The female lead "Woo Joo Young" ended up having the least amount of screen-time because of that. What were the director and the writer thinking?! Ji Hyun Woo shouldn't accept such "destined to fail" projects.
