Can I just say this show is top notch? Like A-Plus. I’m not used to fantasy and etc but I love a good vampire story as cheesy as it sounds and this was just so cute. I’m also glad both seasons are on Viki because ooowee, I would’ve been racking my brain looking for it. At first I was like wow this is cheesy but the chemistry between the two characters is nice, Simba is kind of annoying and yes, the 2nd season was an addition but it’s for the fans that didn’t want the 1st season to end and continue the webtoon and even though it strays I like it because it is its own twist. I love the family, I love the relationship, I love the fluff and how he fell in love and they did not change but adapted to one another for love. Definitely recommend watching this show. It’s worth it, even if there is mixed reviews, I loved every cheesy scene and kissing scene between the two and how the main male lead is so adamant for this relationship, also that it took the female lead a while to fall. I loved that the 1st season was fluff and the 2nd season pulled on my heartstrings and made my eyes dabble with some tears because that’s how you know it’s good, and boy, is it good. Watch this!

This type of drama is not exactly my cup of tea but I unexpectedly really enjoy this -- like really enjoy it. The leads are super cute, likable & lovely together and the storyline is just simple, entertaining and just overall made you in a happy mood while watching it.

Xing Zhaolin did a very good job portraying a peculiar, weird and confused Zhihao who hates touching people due to his germaphobia. But later, all the sweet things he did to accommodate his shortcomings are really nice to watch. And I love it how he didn’t need words or explanation later to understand Shiya's love towards him -- he is the one who felt her sincerity thus other people words didn’t convince him otherwise.

Zhang Yuxi as Shiya is just super lovely! She's pretty, insane, fun, cute and overall just really lovely. I understand why Zhihao falls for her since anyone would. Her imagination, persistence and lack of self-control always made everything more hilarious. The scene that got me the most is the ones where she needs to use children's song in order to stop her sexual frustration lol. And her fashion! My goodness, all those one pieces, dresses and evening gowns are just so pretty. Shiya’s fashion is truly A++ in this drama - the best dressed Chinese lead female actress in my book as for once, a gorgeous person is dressed gorgeously with very pretty hairstyles.

I actually enjoyed a lot of monologue in the drama. The one that I like the most is when Zhihao said that ''He likes being alone where no one disturb him, he has a lot of time to himself -- until Shiya comes into his life and change everything. Then he realised that kind of life actually an extravagant to him thus he dares not to dream about it -- not that he hates it. But now he has felt it, he wants to continue living this new life with Shiya.''

Apart from that, what I love about this drama is the very pretty cinematography and directing. Mostly all of their romantic scenes together are just like a perfect picture with very nice props and background. The drama is like a collection of many beautiful pictures put together. This is one of the dramas where you realise how important is the directing as the director used a lot of props to make everything looks so pretty, beautiful and breath-taking. From the usage of umbrella, hanging lights on trees, lamp posts light at night to theme park or garden backdrop, every of their romantic scenes together are so pretty and perfect as a photobook material. Coupled this with the leads' attractive features and Shiya's great fashion, each scene is like a beautiful photoshoot pictures.

And the OSTs, its really perfect and just beautiful. I don’t know why but C-dramas OSTs are really my cup of tea -- from the sweet melody to the heart-breaking lyrics, everyone seemed to have their own theme song -- even Shi Huan (I didn’t expect the 2nd part ending song is actually from his POV). :D

And the revelation at the end of the drama is really nice and unexpected. Everything makes sense after that -- on why Shiya attracted to Zhihao and why there are always this strange & explanation connection between them. Not only because Zhihao taste delicious but because they are connected together since that day -- as her body remembers his touch and it was his touch which save her from that dark incident. A perfect ending to a complexly fun drama. All around an enjoyable and entertaining production – the one which is perfect for a rewatch everytime you want to have a good and amusing time.

NOTE: I didn't watch the webtoon so I'm solely reviewing the drama without any knowledge of how the webtoon story went.

I enjoyed the 1st season a lot more than the 2nd right off the bat. The 1st one seemed a lot more interesting to watch and had more depth to it. This season kind of seemed like the typical "let me down" second season. The plot felt slightly brushed over? It wasn't as developed as the 1st season was but still had some qualities that were enjoyable about the 1st one. I think the ending left off on a sweeter note than I expected too (so if you're into a sweet one, try watching it). The actors were the same except the dramatics between Simba and his constant chasing after Shiya situation. My heart was tugged at just as much in this season as the 1st, which is throughly enjoyable and sad at the same time. I wouldn't watch this season again though. It lacked the things from S1 that I enjoyed so much about the series. It seemed to be the extra fat from S1 that was kept on. Overall, a good series.

I am in love with this drama. It had a lot of unexpected twists and it made me super excited bout the drama. The story was amazing and the acting of the cast was also brilliant. Tbh when this drama ended it almost left me tears. I was super shocked at the moment I found that XU KAI CHENG turned bad. Like I somehow wanted him to turn good. And in the start of the last episode DAI JING YAO apparently killed him with a sword so I was super sad. And then a lot of turns happened that left me bewildered. But I was happy that SIMBA was with ZHIHAO. And then, after all it was a happy ending for everyone and I literally loved everyone's couple. Everybody found their better half in the end even SIMBA. So, I just loved this drama so so so much and I would definitely recommend this.

The second season of I cannot hug you is best. It was filled with romance, suspense etc. I like the ending of this season.
It was quite amazing. It makes me cry and I feel it was better than season 1.
I feel bad for the xin ba whose friendship broken down. I love the acting of every chracter including even supporting cast
It is a good story that is light and full of feelings.
Every time you watch it makes you feel quite good . The music of this drama is quite soft and I love the chemistry between every character either it is of li shiya or Jiang zhihao or Cheng meyou or ciu. I also love qingran in this drama. She was the same character as in my. Mr mermaid. 我喜欢这部剧!

Not for me

Neither I like story nor acting . I watched this drama in YouTube , season 1 and season 2 are connected so I didn't realised that when I over season 2 . So I reached to conclusion that there was no need to make the drama in two seasons ,they could only one season with 32 episodes.
I didn't like the story of season1 and s about season 2 I had same view till the character Cheng Mei You appeared she was the intern of Jun he ,I starting like chemistry and waiting to see their love story but nothing happened like that . Many things at the ending part were uncleared first how Jun he's loss his memory ,why this character didn't get a happy ending . The way both main leads met at end was also not the perfect scene .as felt like in hurry the story had written .story need the end so the writer just gave the end .

Season one was light, cute and fluffy but as I watched Season two, I felt that it takes a dark route. I enjoyed the story but when it went all killing and poisons I didn't like those parts.

I felt that the lead actress wasn't at her best and that her male lead was picking up the slack and I also didn't like the way Simba turned out but I loved that Shihuan stayed by his side even when Simba didn't deserve his loyalty or friendship. I also felt like Shihuan felt something more than "just friends" but who knows. Lastly, the woman that was literally stalking Junhe was sooooo annoying, honestly I don't even know how I held it together whenever she was onscreen.

I loved the OST.
Because of the reasons I've listed I would not rewatch this season but possibly season one. Great for those who love romance mixed with fantasy/supernatural and a bit of dark stuff.

There was a lot to like about the first season of this Chinese show about vampire Li Shi Ya (Zhang Yu Xi) and her love affair with tasty human Jiang Zhi Hao (Xing Zhao Lin) - despite the wooden acting, awful dubbing and overall cheapness.

Season 2, however, throws most of this goodwill away with a terminal case of noble idiocy from which it never recovers.

I have never read the Manwha Untouchable so don't know how much of this plotline is based on the source text. A lot of the developments in Season 2 felt like retcons - and poorly thought-out ones at that. But in the end, it's the noble idiocy that stakes this through what was left of its heart.

R.I.P.

This is a fairly good lighthearted and fun drama in matters of plot that offers a romance mixed with fantasy/supernatural storyline, but the overall acting is not the best; the female lead wasn't at her best although the male lead was engaging. The second season offers more character development. Still, the drama as a whole (both seasons), delivers some entertaining moments that are good for a short and simple watch that the younger (teenagers) viewers and the young at heart could enjoy. The music of this drama is nice and there is good chemistry among the characters.

You do not need to read the webtoon before watching but you do need to watch season 1 before watching season 2 as it’s linked.

Season 1 was light but season 2 is slightly heavier. It has more scenes that make you sit on the edge and make you wonder what will happen next. But there are a few loop holes (if you are able to notice) here and there.

As I read the webtoon before watching so I am hoping for a different ending like an extension of the webtoon while still keeping the main point. But sadly, the drama is not an extension of the webtoon but they did keep the main points. There are some scene that are different from the webtoon and of course there are similarities. Especially the building that they stay in! I was shock when I saw how similar it looked like and I was thinking if the webtoon artist took that place as an inspiration. Well done drama crew! ????????

Honestly, I didn't hate this drama, but I didn't love it either. The acting was...not good. The story was alright. But the cinematography was honestly super beautiful and it was honestly a good laugh because of how bad the acting was. The romance was really cute especially when you find out at the very end why Zhi Hao's aura was special to Shi Ya. Everything tied up perfectly at the end and that is all we could hope for in this drama. It was cool watching something with a supernatural flare, plus it was all really pretty to watch, but that was the only thing this drama had going for it. I think I might have given this drama a higher score because my roommates and I had a good laugh. I don't understand, honestly, why this drama is currently a 9.1/10 on Viki, which is a higher score than Sweet Dreams, which blows my mind!! I wasn't a fan of any of the side characters except for Simba's...human...friend. I only say that because I was unsure what Simba's relationship was with this guy. I feel bad because I don't even remember his name. Basically, Simba is in a C-pop boy group and we are not sure if it is a duo group with him and this other guy, or if there are more guys in the group that we just don't see. His "friend" knows about vampires, and becomes almost like Simba's lapdog so he doesn't have to go out and hunt for human aura. I only really liked him as a side character because whenever there was an issue, he would stay super neutral and try to understand both sides, while everyone else picked one side and wouldn't budge. He was Shi Ya and Zhi Hao's biggest supporter and didn't care who knew. It was funny how someone who willingly wanted to be Simba's lapdog would be the only one with any moral compass in this drama. Other than that, maybe Shi Ya's younger brother was the second favorite, but we only saw him for a little bit in a couple of episodes. He was funny and he would go off an do his own thing and dated a human girl. Everyone else...Shi Ya's sister was too proud and thought she was better than everyone else, but changed her mind a lot and we were expected not to notice; Shi Ya's manager was super oblivious and didn't realize the guy she loved was a half-vampire who was the bad guy in season one; and even the two mains were a tad annoying. Once Zhi Hao became cured of his germaphobia, he became obsessed with Shi Ya. It was cute how much he loved her and how he rejected the thought of Shi Ya using him and she didn't love him, but homeboy got really stalkery. Shi Ya on the other hand refused the thought of maybe Zhi Hao just didn't like her and she chased him until he loved her, but then once she finds out this huge secret, she shuns the hell out of him. Like...homegirl, really? I understand you don't want to hurt him, but throughout this whole drama, you were trying to prove to everyone that because of your love for him, you wanted to find a way to make it work, even it that meant cutting back on your make out sessions. But randomly, in season two you decide that it ain't worth it and you basically gave fake promises to your man. But it was fun seeing Zhi Hao have some life in him and do the chasing in that season. I just didn't like how she was selfish and didn't care if loving her would change his life completely, but then reject him when he proposed to you and break up with him.
