Dealing with trauma is hard. Using drugs as an escape only makes it worse. We aren't all fortunate to have good support during the hard times. But, we all are trying to live while we can. However, for some, it might no longer be about living but surviving.
Don't watch it expecting a love story. The movie is about pain, suffering, and trying to survive those sh*t. It's a hard-to-watch movie--dealing with things we don't understand always is. If you aren't up for a good challenge, then skip.

STORY:
The story's main focused I guessed was to discuss or to show how addicting AMPHETAMINE is. The male lead got addicted to it to the point where he commited suicide. He can't even differentiate what's real from an illusion. This also shows that addiction cannot be easily stop. It's a process so my suggestion is, Don't even think of trying it. I felt pity on the male lead though. Something terrible happened to him which affected his way of living. I think one of the great lesson this film could teach us is to respect every person and to treat them as a human for that is what they deserved.
ACTING/CAST:
The acting was quite good. It's typical for me to see the male leads naked because I already saw them somewhere naked as well. That needs a strong stamina though.
MUSIC:
I did not put enough attention to the music. Most of the music were instrumental so it would just pass.
OVERALL:
This is quite a good movie. If you are aware of the director you would understand why this story goes like that. There are similar films as well dericted by him where he killed his leads. By the way if you are quite a sensitive person, just let me give you a warning. This film contains issues which were considered as taboo and this films contains scene were frontal view of a naked man was shown so if you don't want to see those scenes you have an option to not to watch it.

ACTING/CAST: Well, a lot of anger, hatred, self-loathing, portrayed well.
MUSIC: Um, don't remember.
REWATCH VALUE: Not really.
OVERALL: Parts of it are okay, but it seems like the movie tries to be much bigger than it can be. I say watch it, it's not bad, but not great either.

Story's Potential Squandered...
I've heard a lot of SCUD's films from the online gay community but have never watched one of his films until now. It's pretty much what I expected from what I've heard of his films. A dull affair between two attractive guys, one of which is gay while the other is straight but feel obligated to stay because he is taken such good care of. It is problematic in its depiction of homosexuality, especially with its idea of a gay person trying to turn a straight person gay, reinforcing homophobia. The story did have potential, but the writing and directing was a huge letdown. At least, the guys were hot lol...Was this review helpful to you?

The script failed in making me understand the characters' choices...and therefore to care about them
Let's face it, watching this movie was not an enjoyable experience for me...But at the same time, I must admit that I will remember some scenes for a long time as some images and ideas in terms of production and filmmaking were quite striking.Despite acknowledging this, the flaws of the movie outweight its qualities in my watching experience. There are a lot of issues with the story itself. It is very difficult to empathize with (or even simply understand) the characters' choices. The way the scenario handles the heavy issues that face the protagonists in their relationship is clearly more "poetic" than relatable and does not make a lot of sense.
The casting did an okay job, I was not particularly convinced by their portraying of "love". For me, it was clearly more lust than love but I am not sure if it is linked to the acting or rather more because of the script itself which really prevented me to understand why the two main male leads would love each other.
I would not recommend this movie to people because it was not an enjoyable watch for me even if I must admit that I will likely remember some scenes for a long time because of a few striking images. Be aware that this movie can be very very triggering, be mindful of the tags if you have any.

The beauty of existing
That was absolutely moving.I felt so many emotions, all at the same time.
I'm still quite shocked and trying to process what I just watched and had the chance to do so.
It is a heart-moving film that allows you to be more understanding of human beings and have that “sonder” moment where you are obliged to face the truth and accept that no one is perfect – no matter what they would like you to see.
Everyone is hiding something from the world, something they try so hard to escape from by hiding behind a costume or an image that protects them from letting the truth escape on its own.
[I rated it an 8/10 for the rewatch value because it was so hard for me to watch a few scenes.
They were breathtaking, and I felt weird and uncomfortable with what was at my sight.
I still highly recommend watching it!]

Vintage, but ...
Agak bingung memberikan penilaian untuk film yang satu ini, saya sudah lama sekali menonton film ini dan agak lupa ceritanya bagaimana, intinya seperti menceritakan seorang yang terkena semacam kekerasan seksual dari orang asing, kemudian bertemu dengan seorang pria yang "kaya" kemudian mereka menjalin hubungan dan muncul chemistry, alih-alih punya hubungan yang sehat, menurutku ini sama sekali tidak bisa disebut sebagai hubungan yang sehat. Dari segi scene menurutku agak membingungkan ya, nuansanya sangat vintage, ya memang ini film lama, namun dari pemilihan aktor - aku fikir tidak terlalu buruk. Saya tidak merekomendasikan film ini, mungkin film ini bisa di tonton ; tapi hanya sebatas ya menonton saja - kesan saya menonton ini ya kurang berkesan atau gmana gt ya, makna ceritanya kurang kuat dan film ini adalah film yang mengandung unsur porno dewasa.Was this review helpful to you?
