It's just nostalgic at this point
I really like AePete and TinCan. Maybe you think that TinCan has too many cliches, but Tin was made as a parody of the typical male protagonist of a K-Drama so I don't really care. And I just love a pairing like TinCan, the dynamic of stupidsunshinexcoldandserious lol. But I think it should be just about this two pairing and not also about all the other pairing, especially because most of them are toxic. Just look at TechnoxKengklas, I read the book and it was painful, poor Techno. It started as a joke but it escalated, from "lol he is stalking him" to "he rapes him". But the Author of LBC (she wrote Tharntype) loves rape and toxic characters and giving this toxic characters a happy end, but I wish the toxic characters would not steal the other couples screen time. All in all, it's very cliche and the story isn't innovate but it's still very enjoyable. Was this review helpful to you?
Looooooove it ?
This series was soooooooo fireball good. Loved Perth and Saint. This series had me crying lolh with Perth crazy ass friend. His head was not good at all??? . I finished it but couldn't finished season two even though can and tin is there. You could have actually felt the live between Ae and Pete. Episode 7 when he slammed that in the locker room????? had me literally bawling. Am sorry that the bs happened with their manager, but I hope one day we can see them acting in a series together. Until then am watching Perth in Never let me go.Was this review helpful to you?
The story line is nothing really interesting or special but characters are appealing.
It's a sweet drama that will make your heart rest. You will never be frustrated! (yeah there's real kisses and not some fake one made with angles that make you want to end your life lmao)
It's also very funny, you can make memes out of characters, I love them.
Unfortunately some couples are absolutely forgotten even tho their stories could have been really interesting with difficult topics(Tar and Tum). Others couples are really interesting and not really expected in my opinion?
It's will be great to have a season two cauz many things still without answers or lefts as is it. I don't have a lot of hope but let's believe in the possibility!
Conclusion : Watch it, it's great.

Main couple: Pete and Ae present a simple, sweet and innocent story about first love, first sexual experiences and first steps into adulthood. It's cute and light. It makes watching them a real pleasure.
Second pair: Can and Tin don't get enough time on the screen to show how great their simple and yet deep relationship is, but I know they will have this time in the second season. And I can't wait for it. I absolutely love Can's character, which makes me always laugh. I totally understand why Tin loves him!
Third pair: brothers, as I wrote above, you need to know "TharnType" to really enjoy watching them. Although their story is much darker and heavier in reception, they eventually find their way to the light and it is beautiful.
Fourth pair: Kla and Techno are another cup of tea. This is the story of a big bad wolf and a stupid red hood. Or a wolf in sheep's clothing who completely deceived a silly sheep named Techno. It's a really complicated story, a bit twisted, a little fucked up and not for everyone.
LBC is one of my favorite BL dramas. It is multi-warrant despite apparent simplicity.

Acting:
The main characters Pete and Ae, played by Perth and Saint, are just... amazing. They did an exquisite job, their acting was so natural and realistic. Pete (Perth) speaks with his eyes, you completley forget this is a series, it's like you are watching true life events. Their pauses and hesitations are also so natural.
I also loved Pond! He made me laugh so much, another talented actor. This story was so enjoyable to watch due to him.
Plot:
It's a simple story, not too complex, but it's fresh and enjoyable to watch.
Ae and Pete have an healthy, romantic, pure and innocent relationship, it grows naturally and with a perfect timing. I've never felt bored. Their relationship wasn't rushed. This story is magic, emotional, beautiful, super captivating such as the side couples.
They don't hide their emotions so you will see some hot moments.
Music and edition:
Well, I fell in love with the background music and this show couldn't have been perfect as it is if they hadn't had this edition. Wow, just wow.
Conclusion:
I highly reccomend you to watch this drama and I do a standing ovation to the director. I hope I can watch something similar to this in the future. It's super hard to find a good story AND good acting skills. This show has the best of both worlds. THANK YOU!

The cutest green flag
I am going to just say one thing about this drama. AE, AE, AE, AE, AEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!Ae is the biggest green flag I have ever seen. Perth Tanapon is terrific in this series. Just 17 yo and phenomenal, maybe beyond that. He speaks with his eyes.
Okay, getting into the story. It is probably your regular university drama. But there are several instances that set it apart. First, Ae is not your regular seme. He is not rich, not arrogant, not great in studies. He is simple boy, from a middle class family, whose greatest love is football and his niece. Then he meets Pete, just by chance, when he almost mows him down with his bicycle. They become friends, much to the surprise of their other friends, especially Tin, who believes that Pete should not mingle with the so called lower class.
Pete is gay, and traumatised by a school senior when Ae helps him out. Ae encourages him to talk to him mom, thus leading to one of the first times that I have actually seen such a beautiful confession of a child when he comes out, at least in a Thai drama. Pete's mother loves her son enough to accept him the way he is, and mother and son share a lovely moment!
Pete is slowly falling in love with Ae, and you can see it in his sweet stolen glances. But he respectfully keeps his distance, not wanting Ae to share the same trauma as he did of being called gay. And therein lies the whole twist. Because while Pete does fall first, Ae falls harder, way harder. Although there is a moment in episode 6 where Ae makes a heartfelt acknowledgement of the fact that he is a guy who falls for girls, but it doesn't matter when it is about Pete, the scene feels a little off, mainly because in the earlier episodes, it is kind of clear that Ae never felt anything for anyone. And in his conversation with Pond, it is obvious that he has never felt aroused the way he has felt with Pete. So I didn't understand the point of that conversation. However, nothing can take away from the fact that Ae is in love, with a capital 'L'! And once he falls, no one can stand in his way, not even Pete. Pete tells him several times that he will be better off with a girl, but for Ae, his softness, the crazy feeling in his head, his possessiveness and obsession, and his insane jealousy, his love and his lust, it's all Pete's and no one can change that.
And that brings me to the end of the best part of this series. Because everything else is filler. I like the actor who plays Pond, but i hate his character. He is a bit too weird and icky for my taste. TinxCan are not a normal couple at all. TumxTar are brothers, I get that. And this type of love I have seen. I mean HIStory 4: Close to You is the perfect example! But Tum and Tar just put me off big time. Too clingy, too creepy. And TechnoxKla, absolutely not. They should have put a trigger warning. I am really glad that in S2 of this drama, No didn't really forgive him till the end. Something redeemed.
So all in all, if you want to watch this drama, I will recommend the AePete parts, because therein lies the entire beauty of this story. Not a single dull moment. Even before they actually become a couple, which is quite soon enough, there are several cute, lovey-dovey, 'butterflies in the stomach' inducing moments. And there is not even the hint of a break-up, because, wonders of wonders!!! Ae and Pete have actual communication. They talk to each other and care for each other's opinions. They tell each other their feelings, good or bad! So this couple has my whole heart!
Fully recommended for Saint and Perth fans. Give them a lot of love guys!

Lives up to the hype
I was nervous going into this one because I know it's well loved by many BL fans. I wasn't even 5 minutes into the first episode before I was completely hooked into it. The story was great (although there were a few moments I found to be quite problematic). I loved each of the couples (except for the problematic one in that last episode), and I felt like it was all really believable. The actors did a great job portraying their characters.I wish I would have gone into this knowing the behind the scenes drama though, because I'm heartbroken knowing what's to come in season 2 as a result. I wouldn't have let myself get so attached to the storylines here if I would have known a little bit more before jumping right in. But as it is, this was a great season that I know for a fact I'll rewatch again in the future

Not Much to Love
This drama was a bit of a mixed bag for me. There were aspects of it that I really liked and a lot that I didn't.Pros:
-The story of the main couple of Ae and Pete was overall sweet and endearing. Watching their relationship blossom was a treat and I enjoyed it very much. The actors had fantastic chemistry and made their relationship truly believable. I liked the fact that not everything was smooth sailing with them and appreciated the way they tackled the issues of jealousy, disagreements, and other obstacles in a relationship. I honestly wish there had been even more of them and less of all the side stories.
-Pete coming out to his mom and her acceptance was well done. I can only imagine how hard that must have been for him and for her as well, but her love for and acceptance of her son was just so beautiful. It was a very refreshing take since some dramas like to make the parents into uncompromising monsters.
-This drama dealt with a few tough issues, but the hardest one has to be the topic of rape. Those were some hard scenes to watch with Tar as he dealt with the aftermath and I think overall the show handled it tactfully and with compassion. Of course, they then negated a lot of that positive, but more on that later.
-Loved the OSTs, I have several of them added to my Spotify playlist now and enjoy listening to them still.
Cons:
-The sheer number of characters and side stories was overwhelming and hard to keep track of. Most dramas I've watched have the main story with the lead couple and maybe one or two side stories. This drama has more like three or four side stories and couples. The hardest part is that some of these stories/couples only pop up every few episodes if that and it was hard to remember who was who and what was going on exactly. Fewer characters and side stories would have been a huge improvement, in my opinion.
-There was a lot of misogyny in this drama. The way the guys talked about women, even their friends, was oftentimes flat out offensive. The relationship between Pond and Chaim honestly pissed me off because he was so incredibly misogynistic, not to mention his porn addiction. The idea of her falling for him was just too absurd especially since she seemed like an intelligent young woman. Along that same thread, the attempts to make Pond seem like a decent guy really didn't fly with me. Yes, he had a few moments where he was a decent human being, but there were far too many instances of him being an offensive jerk for me to ever warm up to him.
-I both liked and disliked the Can and Tin storyline. Once it got going, I overall enjoyed it, however, I keep getting stuck on the development of it. I still don't fully understand how they got together; the way it was done was a bit jarring. You have the two of them absolutely hating each other and then suddenly Tin has feelings for Can? There wasn't enough focus on them or on Tin's thoughts for me to find it totally believable.
-I mentioned as a positive how the show dealt with Tar's rape. That positive pretty much went out the window with Kengkla raping Techno when he was drunk and then essentially gaslighting him to be in a relationship with him. That whole sequence was just so disturbing to watch and the fact that Techno's own brother seems to have been complicit makes it even more so. This plotline should have never made it into the final show.
-Close on the heels of that last issue is the matter of incest between Tar and Tum. I've read other reviews that stated that they were stepbrothers, not blood brothers, but in the English translation of the show, there's no such distinction. Regardless, even if they are stepbrothers, its still toeing the line to an uncomfortable degree. This was another plotline that should have been scrapped.
Despite having far more cons than pros for this show, I didn't hate it. Ae and Pete's story was good enough to mostly redeem it and make it worth watching. That being said, there were some truly questionable and controversial issues with this show and a few storylines that never should have seen the light of day that really brought it down for me. I would say its worth watching at least once, just be prepared that its not all sunshine and daisies.

Good bl series.
Totally I like it. I like how the series tried to tell the story, it’s clear and not disordered. And also all songs are really perfect and get along well with the drama. But I think the actors act too unnatural especially the first one to four episodes. But they were better after that. Finally, this is good. If you like drama with romance and warm heart, I really recommend this one.?????? ?????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????? ??????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????

I enjoyed this series a great deal. I especially liked that, for a change, neither of the lead couple (Pete/Ae), used the "I'm not gay, I don't like men, I just like you" line, which is so overused in many BLs.The characters were pretty varied and included a straight couple, which was nice, as this makes it a more inclusive story, although being a BL series, of course the emphasis should be on the gay couples.
This is a fictional drama, not real life, but some of the characters were really unlikeable and their behaviour was not shown with either the consequences or reprisals, they should have faced...
Lemon, Can's sister; what a nosy, bitchy, controlling, unpleasant character. The crap this character made up about those around her, with no thought for the havoc it might cause in their lives, was really irritating. Considering Can is meant to be older, I found it really annoying that she seemed to have so much control over him.
Kengkla was another horrid character; a real sleaze. He basically low-key stalked Techno via the latter's equally shitty brother, who seemed to have no conscience or problem selling out his brother's body (basically) for personal gain. Awful. Kengkla only got the opportunity to bed Techno whilst he was drunk. Admittedly, Techno did kiss him back. However, the next morning, Kengkla made out it was Techno who took advantage of him! So uncomfortable and totally wrong to have left that part of the storyline without any reprisals on Kengkla - a season 2 much needed, if only to rectify that!
Let's not kid ourselves, even with an 18 cert, there will be underage, or older but immature/inexperienced/easily led viewers...as this is not a 'serious' drama, but a lighter hearted series, those kinds of issues need to be clarified as not being acceptable under any circumstances.
The ending in terms of Tin and Can's (very unfortunate names for English speakers ;) ) characters, was really frustrating. I felt so sorry for Tin, whose character developed well through the unfolding of his story. Last we see of him is bawling his eyes out in the shower. Nice.
Can had started to develop so well as a character too and again, we were left with him being so wonderfully open and honest with Tin, yet not seeing that taken any further. He was equally upset, as he knew he'd hurt Tin, even though it was not intentional.
A Season 2 is definitely needed, focussing on the characters that were secondary in Season 1. I don't think Pete and Ae's characters need any further development, as they were solid and very much together at the end of S1.
I would recommend watching this series and did enjoy it, as said at the beginning. These gripes are just my personal and humble opinions! I really hope there will be a follow-up series.

Honestly Annoying Side Stories
I really enjoyed the main characters, but I feel like so much could have been cut out without damaging the main plot. Honestly it probably would have helped my scoring. I find it disturbing this romanticism around rapey situations even though one of the shows characters was traumatized by sexual assault. Plus I found the Tum X Tar relationship beyond annoying. I feel like I was much harsher on my scoring than usual because I dedicated so much time to watching only for the ending to feel like a letdown. Was this review helpful to you?
