Entertaining
This is one of the most entertains BLs. The story line is not complex but deals with issues facing members of the gay community. It also deals with the issue of a straight person becoming attracted to a gay person. I think the series handles thesedelicate topics in a very respectful way. There are some behavior that is questionable but at the same time very realistic. The focus was on Ae and Pete but the side couples were appealing too. I do question the inclusion of the female student who has a crush on Ae. She’s in college but doesn’t seem to have a clue about Ae and Pete. I just hope BLs will not feel obligated to include a
lovesick female . I have no problem with having females but show them as intelligent and not so needy. Kudos to the writers and the entire
production team.

Best character- Pond
Best acting - Pete
Best boyfriend- Ae
Funniest character - can
And for those people like me, who generally felt a little strange because Thai bl stories avoid kiss scenes, this one is different.. It has many sweet and some passionate kisses... So that's one more point in favor of this show
Hopefully there will be a second season..... I'll miss them a lot otherwise...
This is for anyone who wants to just relax and enjoy some fluffy-puppy love... Totally loved it

balanace of sweet, steamy and emotional well done.
I watched this series before and i rewatched it again to review it, this is what i think...This is written in sequence to how i was watching it.... yes im the one who watched while taking notes and making comments. Lol.....
Anywhooo on to the review .....
Starting off with a classic case of "I'm afraid you're gonna hate me" the other goes "Hate you?! How many times should i say I don't. Fine I'm gonna love you!"
Antagonists (Tin) show up like the avengers. Literally like "Antagonism ! Assemble!"
The tension is killing me, it's perfect. Super drawing and intense. Overwhelming sweet that you cant get enough of.
Like how assddkfklskslsldjksla.
Bath montage is nothing short of amazing showing a wholesome bond and relationship between Ae and Pete.
Ep7 let me just say Ae gives the best kabedon I've ever seen!!!!!!
I love how Can and Ae can throw a freaking punch its amazing and well executed, even the emotion behind it.
I love Pete's mom, she is just the sweetest soul supporter of her son like (^-^)
I love Tins Characters development, it keeps the arrogant snobbiness but makes him change from an antagonist to a protagonist (Bad turned good) without breaking his character's core. Tin is the most emotinally honest charater in this whole series. Props to him for that.
When Can said "one more time please" amd for that moment opened up to Tin it was GLORIOUS!!!!
Been going on about so many charaters except for Tar and Tum because i feel their story is quite disconnected from the main one a lot, that'sthe down side and why i I wouldn't give it a full 10. I feel like its just an add on and not necessarily needed for the main plot so it seemed out of place. Would've suggested they make a separate series focused on Tar and Tum (which i think they did if I'm not mistaken) and just focused on the main plot. Unlike Tin and Can's story they (Tar and Tum) don't really have an strong connection with the main plot so it's standing out of place like a sore thumb.
I don't know what to say about Kal and Oh i honestly think it was an all too simple take advantage taken out of someone and the subject of the joke doesn't even mind cause he's hella dense so everything was left hanging like that so I've literally got nothing to say cause it just felt so left in the air, connected but disconnected to the main plot. But still more more connected than Tar and Tum who decided to be dealing with experience and trauma in a series based on confusion and first love.
I don't like how Tin and Can ended up because i was really hoping for a good eneding between them. I was hopeful for them. Why producer, do you not give them a happy ending. I hope to see them in season 2 and i hope its a different situation this time and they can actually progress with their relationship. As for Ae and Pete i have no complaints.
All in all the series was a mix of sweet, steamy and emotional all well balanced and wrapped into one.
A series well done.♡♡♡

Story is 9.5/10
It's cute and fluffy~ i love that it didn't stress me much watching it, I also like the pacing and dialogues. They served sweet scenes instead of devastating ones, which is exactly what I am looking for. but I kind of expected a better ending.
Cast/Acting/Character is a PERFECT 10/10
WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO SAAAAAY? Ae and Pete is soooooo PERFECT, PERIOD. Acting is on point, I felt everything~ Their chemistry penetrates from my heart right into every single bone in my body. I almost forgot they were acting >o< lol.
Watch Value is also 10/10
I'd definitely rewatch this series over a hundred times more~ Until I get tired of it!!! *I'm on my 15th rewatch btw >o<

The more colorful stories of the individual couples develop mainly in the later episodes, but the fate of the couple Ae (Tanapon Sukhunpantanasan) and Pete (Suppapong Udomkaewkanjana) accompanies the viewer throughout the series, which are the civilian names of the young actors, from which we can only break the tongue, and I mention them because these the two main characters are not listed in the Cast in Details section. Above all, the character of Ae is written very beautifully and even more beautifully and tenderly played by the seventeen-year-old, likeable and athletic Tanapon, as he gradually realizes everything about himself and conquers the fragile Prince Pete step by step.
I see a beautiful Thai woman for the first time, because otherwise Thai students are usually depicted as toothy, bespectacled or lilliputian schoolgirls, so I'm not even surprised that the overall tone of such series is such that the viewer thinks that 90% of Thais are into boys. Even the character of rich Tino, another footballer Can and some others are well written.
In my opinion, probably the best Thai series from a school setting in 2019 so far, and I definitely recommend it to romantic souls who understand and don't mind tougher Asian conversational acting...

At first I saw a music video of this series before I started watching but was glad to had found another good Thai series with multiple couples with their love story to show. Not everyone is on the same page with what I have to say about this series or might agree with, but I really did felt the warmth of happiness to see each characters in the series developing their love story. (SPOILER ALERT)Starting off with Tin and Can, like everyone else said about their relationship, that it went from enemies to lovers. It did seem they went from enemies to lovers and had their sweet and sour moments, but unfortunately it didn't turned out well than I had expected (I thought they were finally starting to accept one another but guess not because of Can's thoughts and feeling of being in a real relationship with Tin, made their ending in a cliffhanger). Next couple (not really, yet) is Kengkla and Techno, which was really short in terms of having them appear in other episodes. It started out as Kengkla and Techno's little brother, Technic (or Nic) scheming a way to get Techno to be with Kengkla with is funny because Technic is selling off his brother to Kengkla in exchange for girls he likes in college and his car key. Like it only took Techno to be drunk twice getting home with Kengkla in his bedroom the second time. Literally their last scene ends with those two waking up the next morning and Kengkla asking Techno to be his boyfriend and he'll promise to be a good boyfriend taking "responsibility" since he did it with him the first time. Another short scene of the next couple, we have Tum and Tar's story. The reason why I said story instead of relationship is not because even though their step- brothers and Tum loves Tar but Tar has philophobia, fear of falling in love, because he was raped in the past. After being assaulted by Tum because he told him that P'Tharn wasn't coming back to him and wanting to know why he's hiding a secret from him, Tar manage to tell him everything even though he already planned to go back to France despite of what happened between him and Tum. There wasn't really love involve with those two, but rather a sigh of relief to know that in the end, Tar still cared about Tum before I guess he leaves to France or decided to stay back a little more when they hugged each other in the end. The last but not least couple and the number one reason why I love this couple so much and made me cry emotionally in the end, Pete and Ae. Yes they started out as strangers who accidentally bumped into each other and from there on developed more as a "taking care of you after I felt bad running over you with my bicycle" thing, into being friends, but soon develop love for each other. Seriously, Pete and Ae's relationship is something else that really made me love the series more than other series I've watched so far with minor forks in their road and sweet and sour moments that made them a deeper bond and feelings for one another. I really can't express how much I really did enjoy and loved watching this series but felt sad upon hearing news from the director of the series that there won't be season 2 , which was why I didn't finish the last episode until I really had the courage to finally finish the series and will always keep Love by Chance in my heart :)) (sorry my review is long but thanks for reading up this far) Was this review helpful to you?

Ae and Pete is one of the few none toxic relationships in the BL world
April 28, 2021Love By Chance season 1 is a pretty darn good series. I have seen the reviews for season 2 especially with Tin and Can's story arc. And I must say I am not sure if I will be able to watch it. As much as I love Tin and Can, I hope they can save season 2 for me.
Anyway, back to season 1. Ae is such a sweet heart. I love and live for this man. Hands down one of the best tops out here. He literally tops out everyone on my list and I mean literally. Although, Pete can be annoying with his "do you really love me?" type of validation. I understand it since he went through a lot. Especially because of that jerk Trump. How ironic that his name is Trump...
Tin and Can, well damn. I was not expecting that. I won't say too much cause I was shocked and overwhelmed but damn, I really love their dynamic especially on how Can shook Tin's personality and views about other people. That part where Can punched him was really memorable. I mean their kisses are memorable as well too hehehehe..

First of all, the story is definitely the sweetest story you'd find in a BL drama. 'Love at first sight' sounds dumb in reality but this drama showed it in such an adorable way! Plus, this entire way of showing the stories of a few side couples. I usually don't like dramas with many side couples but this drama changed my mind. I freaking LOVED all the other side couples (esp. TinCan is LIFEEE) their stories were different, interesting and exciting. However, this drama's story was beautiful and really heart-warming, and by that– I mean ALL the couples in it.
And now secondly, the cast.
I would have given a 10/10 rating for the acting but apparently I didn't because I felt like the actor who played Pete was a little lacking and it–NO OFFENCE– kind of made me uncomfortable. Whatsoever, I definitely fell in LOVE with Perth (Ae). His acting, his gestures towards Pete, the way he looked at him with his eyes— definitely was AMAZING. Their chemistry was also 'no joke'. As for the second couple TinxCan, those two are just a match made in heaven. Seriously. Their story is so touching, so beautiful. And oh my, their chemistry and their love for each other almost gave me a heart attack of happiness. I definitely wish for a sequel of them both ending up together— or else I'm gonna throw hands. Other than these two, I also definitely adored the other couples.
So, lastly, all I can say is that this BL thai drama is a MUST WATCH and definitely recommended. As it was my first time watching a BL drama, I had a whole lot of fun in an unexpected way and lots of heart wrenching excitement. :)

O.K.... So this show got me. Like at first I was struggling to start this show. Because I had watched this after watching Tharntype, so I didn't know if I should start this considering obviously that Type and Techno would be different actors. But once I did start I got into it. The main couple Ae and Pete are pretty cute, and the couple side couples are pretty cute as well. Well TinCan at least, they developed a lot during the show and I loved it. How Tin kinda started out as a narrow minded selfish person to opening himself up to Can and wanting love. Techno and Kengla though, I would say is ok. I don't like the whole drunk one night thing since Techno was drunk, and since it happened in the last episode where all the episodes before were just Kengla being kinda of a creepy stalker. But I get it's a thing so can't judge now. Other than that I really did like the show and I can't wait for season twooo!! Also Ae and Pete are awesome but I kinda don't like how Pete doesn't stand up for himself as much as he should. I get it, its part of his character and a lot of storyplot points wouldn't have happened if he necessarily did, but still I kinda wish he was more confident. Ok, now im done. But seriously can't wait for seaon twooo! Was this review helpful to you?

know this isn’t the director’s fault but I just didn’t like how they ended the tincan storyline there (if you read the novel after that part they do end up back together). Also how there won’t be a season 2 because of managers and the author and issues. That really sucks but it isn’t the reason why my rating is a 9 it’s that because of the way the storylines are shown. You were only really introduced to Techno/Kengla story line in the last episode and plus it was rape. So I didn’t enjoy that.
But for the positive the chemistry between all the couples were amazing and you can definitely tell that they were excited and ready to play those roles. Especially Aepete and Tincan. I also love the relationship between Pond and Ae it’s really cute and honestly one of the truest friendships.

This series is finger licking good. Didn’t come here to brag about Aepete but uh, their relationship is so freaking amazing and admirable. Like come on, where can we get some more Aepete? Their love scenes feel so real and you’re able to sense the love through their gazes, touches, and kisses. The other three couple are kinda irrelevant? I mean I took a liking in Kengkla and Techno's (minus the r*pe) just because they fitted each other so well but other than that, I don’t really care about them.
Aepete nation rules.
Acting is amazing for actors who barely tackled their first series or second+. Perth’s (Ae) acting is incredible and ugh, I love every inch of him. He’s amazing and will do well in the future. Saint is also an amazing actor! For someone who is actually manly in real life, he can certainly take on a timid, innocent role.
Please watch the series. It’ll bring warmth and comfort.
