Firstly I would like to start by saying I have officially watched 13 episodes with subs, but have skimmed all episode without subs. Secondly I would like to add that I have come from watching Korean dramas, and recently branched out to Thai and Chinese shows in the last 6 months.

What I have come to notice when watching C-dramas is the lack of women being represented as strong or accomplished. They always seem to be so senseless, and honestly I can't handle watching female leads portrayed as stupid. This is just my personal experience though. However I can gladly say that the female lead is strong, sticks to her values, has clear goals, but at the same time is relatable and likeable. She is not easily manipulated allowing the audience to experience the great chemistry with the male lead, while also bringing light hearted moments. They feed off each other and it makes great viewing. They deliver the angst, the drama and the romance. The chemistry between the two main leads is incredible.

Not only do the leads have a great story and chemistry, but the supporting actors also deliver quality side stories and pairings. Most of the time when I watch a drama I either like the side story with the supporting actors, or the main leads story. With About Is Love, I'm equally invested in all 3 pairings and their individual stories. The chemistry between all the actors is stunning, and you can't not get invested in the story.

Though the overall theme of the show a CEO with OCD has been told many times, I think that the cast is what is really making this drama stand out and not be considered cliche. I have watched a few episodes of Want To See You Smile with the same themes of the male lead having OCD and unable to have physical contact with anyone, but I could never get into it. The chemistry between the actors wasn't there for me. The relationship of all the characters and the chemistry is really what makes "About is Love" great for me.

I watched this drama not expecting anything because as far as my experience modern cdramas turned underwhelming in its later part. BUT i watched this and as i progress i never realized i was already at its last 5 episodes. Its light fun drama that makes you smile. Although Wei Qing was such a jerk in the first parts, he make it up in the later parts. He supports and understands Zhou Shi although his ways are kind of cunning, he wished nothing but the best for Zhou Shi. Also the second fave couple and character is the Genius jiejie she's not like those smart boring genius type. She cares for her friends without losing that genius image. So all in all i very love this drama! :)

Definitely will watch this again again. I hope more modern cdramas are this great and fun. ♥

I dropped this drama after 20 episodes, and several weeks later decided to give it another chance and finish it. Some people did love this drama so I just want to offer my differing opinion. I've also added a comment using the spoiler tag that specifies many of the moments that drove me crazy in this drama.

I can't stand how the male lead, Wei Qing, continuously manipulates the female lead. His actions are indefensible and go too far, again and again, but I continued on because the female lead, Zhou Shi, has a backbone. She calls him out on it and those scenes were very satisfying. She is gullible and not the brightest, but she stands up for herself and sticks to her principles. But then he toys with her again. I find him to be very condescending, and as their relationship changes throughout the drama, including an employer-employee relationship, there is always a power imbalance with him having the upper hand. She even says this at one point - but waaay too late in the drama for it to be developed upon. Even near the end, he has his assistant lie to her! Also, she is an art student but for most of the drama I felt like I didn't know what her own goals were.

The conflict with the male lead's mother felt too contrived. Her words were so harsh and every time they show the flashbacks I cringed. It's not that I don't believe a mother can hate her own son, but I just never felt like I understood it. There are also scenes that are completely nonsensical - for example, when the Wei Qing's uncle invites all his ex-girlfriends to the fancy business event. And it seemed like they didn't know how to fill the episodes at the end and decided to totally change Zhang Shuai's character to add an obstacle?? There were also certain storylines that were underdeveloped or just abruptly ended.

On a positive note, I liked the friendship between Zhou Shi, Fei Fei, and Qiu Jing. They are very different individuals but genuinely supportive of each other. Fei Fei and Qiu Jing gave Zhou Shi good advice and were honest with their concerns. Ming Cheng was also rather condescending to Zhou Shi (or maybe just treated her like a little sister), but I do like Qiu Jing and Ming Cheng's pairing. I didn't really care for the Fei Fei and Ning Fei pairing because, either because of his casting or wardrobe, he came across as a helpless, sheltered child too much.

Regarding the OST, upon further consideration, I do like the songs, it's just that I didn't like the drama so I don't think of the songs particularly fondly.

THE WRITER SHOULD BE SUED

When writing a story, you have to put certain things into consideration like where you want your story to head or where you want it to center but the writer of this show decided to disregard all these points and wrote like a fool
now lets start to pinpoint the problems I had with this (i don't like long reviews and i hate spoilers so I would make this quick)
- the fact that the main leads hated themselves halfway in the series
-the fact that they were not sure what they were at the end
-the horrible acting
-the annoying female lead (like my gush this bitch is dumb)
-the unnecessary story
-the messy storyline (how can you bring up an issue that was supposed to be resolved using 2 episodes you decided to do it under 5 minutes like what is the point)
-the moving back and forth (like bitch stick to one thing)
-the boring romance (if we are being honest, I do not think what they did could be considered as romance)
but then I thought the writer could realize their mistakes and make it all work towards the end but nooooooo. they said let's leave it as it is, let's fuck up this drama (like what the fuck is wrong with you)
to all who are seeing this please do not bother wasting your time to watch this
but if you are someone like me who don't like dropping shows please feel free
I still don't get why this show has an 8 point rating (i am so disappointed)

This drama had a good story plot but in my opinion was handled poorly. The writers seemed to do well in the beginning but it got pretty sloppy afterwards. I get it, there are so many episodes so they need to fill those episodes with other topics but come on, the important parts of this drama that was shown in the beginning was pretty much ignored until the very end. It was very heavily focus on the female lead and her exam/school issues along with not being able to get over her one sided crush for the majority of the drama. That makes it boring because there wasn't anything significant about those scenes. Even with 30 episodes, the story progression was so slow and the ending was rushed. Chemistry was pretty weak for the main leads. The support characters were also in a relationship as well and it's pretty cute to see but I just didn't see much of a development with their characters to say their relationship was at a level that was shown in this drama. Don't even get me started on the villains of this drama. They basically were non existent for this whole drama and then decided to do something "bad" at the very last few episodes. What a joke! And for some reason, it seems like villains always get away with their evil deeds in Chinese dramas (well at least the ones I've seen). WTH? No justice! Poor writing and poor development in the relationship making department for the main leads but it is funny with a few likable characters.

Well to be honest i really like to watch Chinese,Japanese,Korean Drama's.

As for this drama i was bit disappointed first of all the 30 Episodes were not needed to depict this kind of story. It was utterly slow & boring but yes at certain times was fun to watch, funny too. Actors in this show did a good job they were meant to do this kind of acting due to the story but if u want to ask me was it there best, i would say nope.

Kind of mixed feelings.

It's a show which is not bad for watching but if somebody wants to rewatch it then i would say No hell, not a good choice.

Finally all the episodes get subbed!! So thankful to all the translator for their hardwork because i just cant get enough with this drama! Honestly at first I dont expect to like this drama so much because from the summary the plot just seem nostalgic like in asian drama history what CEO doesn't have OCD ? Lol But then from the moment I casually picked the first ep and i found 24 hours later that i dont put down the drama yet, even tho the sub not out yet for the latter episodes! And when done i start to rewacth again.. Maybe its the great chemistry between the lead actors.. YanXi really potray Wei Qing as domineering, badass, self centered CEO who view money to solved anything. But.. you just cant hate him enough. At this why their relationship is so lovable, because even with Wei Qing's manipulation, n how Zhou Shi seem to always fall straight at the trap, and the fact that both lead is inexperienced in love, but their affection to each other just come out naturally.. from Zhou Shi's first impression of Wei Qing is maybe hateful n annoying but then she slowly developed admiration, pity n finally love toward him. If you see Zhou Shi's 'deer in the highlight' expression guess i can understand why Wei Qing love to tease Zhou Shi so much. His smile when he witness Zhou Shi's antics even if a secon ago his mood is down make my heart doki-doki ???? I love how his change seem to be unsignificant but you can see how much gentleness n sacrife he can give to make Zhou Shi happy. Honestly Wei Qing's tough attitude is a necessary with how even his close relative is happy to see him down, so no complain for our badass Teacher Wei ???? The friendship is a highlight too in this drama, i loveee the three girl friendship.. Fei fei is relatable even with her quirk, Qi jing the a must have if you want to see reason. Ning Fei too love his relationship with Zhou Shi but so glad he can be with Fei fei. Well maybe just there some unsatisfactory in the plot like with Wei Qing's parent, they are so messed up, esp the mom.. really cant understand her attitude toward her own son.. Ning Fei is lovable but he really at some point ruined Wei Qing's life.. but the plot not elaborated too deeply in this situation and its just so unfair for Wei Qing.. the other bad characters too after they done hurting the protagenist they never brought up again.. The ending is another matter.. hope for even one more episode to really wrap Wei Qing n Zhou Shi's relationship! Well they say there will be a season 2 for this. But overall , for me the drama is really enjoyable. And i rewacth it again n again for the past several weeks Lol Cant get enough with Wei Qing n Zhou Shi's bickering ????????

I mean there's nothing to this show honestly; It's like any c-drama that I've seen and it has a similar story I've seen about 3/4 times now, with Thai and K-Drama's too. This show was a good one, like another review said, I thought it would drag on but I honestly saw myself watching, watching and suddenly it was the end and I was mind blown. The down fall of it all, was that there was so much going on. The romance was cool but it was like a side track thing in my opinion, which sucks because I'm a sucker for Rom's. Just like the whole OCD thing; like it was kind of brushed off and then it was a big deal? lol. The family drama was wild and then the twist in the end was like "wow, really?" but there were so many characters and pointless drama and then things like came back and tried to make a full circle as if it all connected, but it didn't. Overall, not a bad show, worth the watch, I probably wouldn't rewatch it but I can't say it's not worth rewatching. The characters chemistry was wonderful together. The best friends were awesome friends; the family sucked per usual but I liked it.

I am tired seeing C-dramas where the main male lead is a rich man working in a company where he is also the boss, and the female lead is a student who is broke. It's boring to see that the male lead just do what he wants to the girl.

Anyways, if we are talking about the story, I didn't find it entertaining that much. Maybe because I don't like the acting of both main leads. I like the story of the other characters more. But personally, I really like Lin Fei Fei and Bi Qui Jing. Their characters radiates '🌟Girl Boss🌟'.

I'll just give it a 4.5/10. Even in the start of the story, I did not like it.

When it comes to Romcom I really don't get my hopes high. Not because they are always full of cliches, BUT, because they are not intended to be heavy nor complex. They are supposed to be light and fun!
Regardless, they should still be well-made. Let me tell you why I gave this a very low score.. BECAUSE the plot is all over the place that I could no longer turn a blind eye on it.
It started off really great, it has sooo much potential. Plus the actors are a pure delight to watch. It was funny, really great chemistry between friends but the good things ended there. It seems that eye candy actors did not work out this time for me.
It was not able to sustain the vibe it gave in the first 10 episodes. Surely, there were still some sweet moments but it lacked that "awww'' factor I always look for in a good romcom. Although the character build up was really good, the character themselves are not. I often got annoyed by the social climber friend, uncaring mother (the most uncaring mom in dramaland I suppose) and the gullible nonsense female lead. The most interesting character is sister genius because she's the only character that has sense in this drama.
I had to skip a lot of parts and one whole episode (hint: reviewing/ revising). It can be shortened to 20 episodes and that's even long for this drama. All in all, it's a tad below in my standard of mediocre. I gave it a 7.5 as it's still fun to watch because of the sweet scenes. I know a lot of fans of this drama will disagree with me but it's just an honest opinion.

Here we have the typical rich male lead with psychological trauma and the somewhat poor female lead that helps him get better. For me it was definitely lacking. Series is titled “about is love” but there was nothing lovely about it. There was no romance, no actual relationships existed. There was three potential couples and no one actually got together until the last 3 or 4 episodes.

Positives: the male lead is not so mean, family dynamic is different, the friendships were awesome.

Negatives: cliche, poor closure, chemistry is off, FL was a college student that seemed very childlike when dealing with issues (ex: running off when someone she likes, likes someone else. Add this with the other poor decision making skills).
. And my most hated thing: evil/hateful person for 27 of 30 episodes forgiven in 5 seconds without consequences. Unanswered issues.

It’s not awful but not great. I can’t recommend this as a romantic series. If you prefer strong FL, I will say she has some attributes but not enough to count. If you want a smart and mature FL you won’t like it. Like I said her personality seems extremely childlike. Male lead was arrogant, but redeemable. He was mature.

I watched this drama only because of its ratings . I want to watch drama which has a strong story which keep connected to the audience. And then I found this drama. Somehow I can relate its actual plot to the other dramas which I have already watched so it's seems similar but they also have some extra and powerful story behind it which was the perfect thing I like the most. In the starting I have some awkward feelings to watch this show but after some episodes I generally start liking the show. It has only the one thing which affects my thought regarding this was about the actress Zho Shi was this that why she has been confused about her feelings regarding the main actor Wei Qing . I was so
much connected to the story that when I realised that it is going to over I feel very sad but as well as more curious to know what will be going to happen next. Talking about the cast I really like Wei Qing ( Saixixi) and Zho Shi (XuXiaNuo) but Xiao Fie( CaiYiJia) and Lin Fie Fie(YangXinYing) was also awesome.
It has 30 episode but I thought it was quite less bacause I want some more episodes but it's not like that the story wasn't over , story was over but I want some more .
If you guys want to watch a romantic story which has its own story behind it, so I definitely recommend you guys this drama.
You may watch this drama with eng sub on wetv and aa well as on you tube.
Love from India ♥️
