even if the storyline is not the same but king of qin( Eisei) mother is the FL in The legend of haolan. In TLOHL we get the see the romance of Eisei parent and the birth of eisei from a first son of hostage prince to crown prince of qin dynasty INTO king of qin. In TLOHL we get to see eisei relation with his mother and father especially the love he gets from both his parent
Both dramas are very similar. Main characters are women whe start as a slaves and than climb up to the highest position. Both female leads are entagled with two men and have sons. Both have to endure heavy storms in their lives and fight with intigues and enemies. Both are strong and cunning but in the same time they care for lives of citizens. And they both live in the foreign country in the end. Not to mentione serious and tragic vibe of both dramas.
The story or rather the history begun from Chu Empire, and this Legend of MiYue foretold way long before the down fall of Chu & Zhao empire's fate. When view this Legend of Hao Lan's story, it was sometime near the down fall of Zhao empire as Qin empire send up a fierce and decisive general Bai Qi to lead the Qin troops attack Zhao empire's military hub and “vaporized” Zhao's 45,000 troops. And if you have watched previously this Legend of MiYue, from Chu empire MiYue was just an accompanying bridesmaid and her story rose her up to became Qin's empire's most powerful empress dowager. Also in Legend of MiYue, the story also foretold how Bai Qi was subject his countivation by MiYue and later became one of the most fierce general in Qin's military troop and also was MiYue's adopted brother. Some how, I felt these 2 stories or rather historical events are all a string related. It's like watching part 1 then continue to part 2.
