Why should you watch a sitcom (never watched one before) that is 123 eps long? That’s what I asked myself as well before I even thought about starting it…

Story- Yes there are an abundance of episodes but each one is not even a half hour long and they feel so short because the writers did a great job of giving each main character a story line of their own, which fills the time nicely. What I liked about the writing is not only are most eps truly funny but some eps deal with serious stuff so you also get to feel for the characters. Really though the writing was phenomenal cause it kept me watching all the eps without getting bored. In fact they could have continued after ep 123 and I would have kept watching cause I felt like they had so much more story to tell. As for the ending, while not bad like High Kick S2, I would of liked different outcomes for some of the characters.

Acting/Characters- Whats funny is that I came into this not knowing most of the actors, and even if I did know them, there’s no way I would want to watch a 123 ep sitcom just for them. However, after watching a couple eps I realized that the casting was perfect. Every actor whether main or supporting, made his or her characters stand out. I was rooting for everyone to find their success. The main featured family really did feel like they were a family as they had good chemistry. The only loveline that managed to turn into something (Ji Suk & Ha Sun) had really good chemistry and their relationship was just so cute/funny. My favorite character though happened to be Sung Yoon (Joon Sook’s best friend) because he was just so odd but really cute/sweet/innocent. And surprisingly a character that I was completely annoyed by in the beginning (Krystal) became one of my favorites by the end (really good character development for her). There were a couple of characters I just did not ever manage to like (Dr. Yoon Gye Sang, Bak Jin Hee, and Ji Won) their personalities were awful and i even had to start fast-forwarding through their scenes).

Music- Each episode had its own OST, that being said there were too many songs to remember but I remember liking a lot of the songs within various eps.

Rewatch- While the drama is entertaining enough to watch the entire series again, my favorite part of the drama is the second half so I’ll probably stick to watching those eps over and over whenever I feel like a good laugh.

Overall if your like me and had never seen a Korean sitcom, do try this one out because it’s a lot of fun and you get attached to the characters.

I wanted to review this show because its actually one of my favorites. I began watching for Lee Jong Suk and was pleasantly surprised when I realized f(x)'s Krystal was in it as well. I'm a big fan of both their work and was very happy that they were both in it together. The show also introduced me to an abundance of other actors/actresses who I thought did a wonderful job with their roles. I adored all of them and look forward to watching other things they star in.

The first thing you should know about this show is that it's a sitcom. It's basis is humor. Different types of humor don't apply to everyone so its really a hit-or-miss with each individual. I myself wasn't sure about it in the first couple of episodes. However, as I continued to watch, I found myself liking it more and more as the characters and plots developed. The story follows the paths of many characters who all intersect with each other dealing with a variety of things like school, work, family, and romance. I thought it was great it all aspects including the music, acting, and story line. Though I love it to pieces, I gave it a five for rewatch value. Not to say it isn't good though. I gave it a five because of the amount of episodes. I wouldn't sit down and rewatch all 123 episodes, but I would catch an episode or two if it came on. That's the great thing about sitcoms, if you're familiar with the characters and story line, you can technically pick up anywhere to rewatch!

I haven't seen "Unstoppable High Kick" or "High Kick Through the Roof!" yet so I'm not sure how it compares to them. However, if you're a fan of comedies/sitcoms, I'd definitely recommend giving this show a go. :D

This sitcom was great! I would totally watch this again if I had the time. The characters were fun and enjoyable. I like how it spread out the character screen time, it was nice getting to know all of them. This was funny and the cast was just great! It felt sad ending the show, but it's definitely worth the many episodes!

Best Comedy, Romance, Drama, Family, Sitcom

I really don't like old dramas, old means made more than a decade ago. Unless the drama is recommended to me and has a very high score. And especially don't like dramas with a large number of episodes, a lot, that is, more than 20 episodes

But this drama has some outstanding features. It's hard to find them all in one drama

First excellent characterization of each of the characters✅

The second excellent Acting on a legendary level of actors✅

Third is the great harmony of the character with the mood and appearance and the way the actors play. Which makes it very believable. bringing together all these very, very cute and talented actors in one drama. None of them are inconsistent with the drama and the story and with the other actors. It is as if they were born for this role. So the third prominent feature is the choice of actors✅

Fourth, the amount of jokes, laughter, and romantic or sad scenes is very appropriate✅

Fifth, I don't watch any movie or series twice, except "Train to Busan"
But this series when I watch parts of it again with friends
still makes me laugh, And unknowingly without realizing the passage of time. I see that I have looked at some episodes of it again. So it is definitely worth watching again.✅

The music for this Drama, for a sitcom Genre, is good
Especially the final music of each episode✅

The point I have to make is the excellent Park Ha Sun acting
This is the first drama I see from this actress and her great talent can be recognized immediately, By far the best actress in this series.✅

The result is by far the best drama in its genre and one of the best in Korean dramas.
Problems in normal life and family style, a Genre that does not focus on one particular character and all the characters are the main role with a comedy theme. I like such dramas and as I said, it is the best work in its genre so far, which after a decade has not only not lost its charm, but is one of the best.✅

And finally, if my Review had shortcomings
In the words of Crystal "Sorry, Sorry"

I initially didn't want to write a review for such a dreadful drama like this. But I figured there may a few of you who, perhaps like me, would like to watch it to diligently follow an actor or actress that you like.

If you're scouting right now, I'd like you to consider this humble piece of advice (or plea). Jebal...hajimayo! Watch something else if you can.

High Kick 3 is a story of two neighboring households; a family sitcom that goes through love and rejection, conflict, and growing up. But then instead of bringing out the heartwarming from a comedic narration, it buries them in the 123 episodes and repeatedly brings out instead the irritating habits of its characters with too many annoying instances.

There were two reasons why I kept watching 'til the end: (1)the episodes were very short; on the average, they're 22 minutes, and(2) there are about four people in the drama that I liked to follow (or at least their stories were worth following), while the rest of the cast were just unbelievable to the point of hateful. And then even when there were likable characters in the drama they still have their dis-likable moments.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend High Kick 3 to anybody UNLESS they have extreme patience for childish characters or if they easily laugh at toilet humor and slapstick. If I could, I'd extract Ji Suk and Ha Sun out of this drama and make their story a separate one. But to have to rewatch it again--out of the question.

For the first time, I rated a drama this low. And I thought I wasn't stingy with scores, but with this, I can't rate it any higher. Mianhae. :(

At first I was reluctant to start this drama, because of the long episodes. I have never watched something that long. I don’t like to drop a drama, so I was not ready to start this even though I get to know that this was good.
Finally, I started it, trust me you will never drop unless you have much more important work to do that will make you not watch any other dramas too.
I started because of Lee Jong Suk, since I binge watched all his dramas. But after watching this one, I fall in love with all the characters.
This drama shows various characters, they have their own cuteness, charm, positives as well as negatives just like how you see people in the world.
There is no good character or bad character. Like a slice of life story.
I usually watch romance or thriller kind of stories, but this one was totally different from all I have watched.
It shows how a family could support each other at any time and there are lot of moments in the drama that you could relate with your life.
No drama made me laugh like this one. It was totally fun and also there are some emotional moments which was sweet instead tragedy.
At the end of the drama I don’t want it to finish and I didn’t know what am going to do next. I felt like I missed them. It’s all thanks to the actors who lived like the characters instead acting. The casting was totally good.
Then finally that monumental Brother and Sister bickering was so lovely and funny.
It was totally worth watching.
