--Note: this review contains minor spoilers--If I had to describe Man of Honor in one word it would be disappointing, because disappoint it will. The story was supposed to be about a nurse and a baseball player who find love in their journey. This was EXTREMELY misleading. Yun Jae In (Park Min Young) was a nurse in training, and Kim Young Kwang (Chun Jung Myung) was a washed up baseball player with one successful game in his career, for about two episodes (and one more after being absent for 20 episodes). The remainder of the series mainly deals with faux-cest and revenge. The story was very makjang driven and unstable. It seemed like the writer didn't really know where he was going with the story, which made it feel unfinished towards the end.
Despite these flaws, Man of Honor was fairly enjoyable until midway through, after about episode 12, the story went on an unsalvageable downward spiral.
While the main problem lies within the writing, the acting was also poor. There was a lot of overacting, and Park Min Young looked as though she had a mental illness when she smiled widely for minutes on end.
Overall, this is not a drama that I would recommend, and it is longer than the average of 16 episodes (this one totals 24). There are many good to outstanding dramas out there that can be substituted for this much inferior one.

When I started watching the drama, I had a lot of expectations. My best friend is a baseball fanatic and it kind of rubbed into me; so I was pretty excited at the beginning solely because of the baseball factor. If you were hoping for some baseball action, then forget it.
You're in for a borderline ridiculous plot about revenge and the strong hold of the past on these characters' lives, really bad acting, non-existant chemistry between the two main leads, extremely evil and insane cut-board characters (stereotypical), and a great dosage of lameness in between. LAME. SILLY. This is what this drama is.
Don't watch it if you don't want to waste your time. I wish I could take all the time I spent on this back. >:O

I wasn't really convinced by this drama when i read the senario, but seeing how park min young was in it and the positive reviews, i decided to give it a shot. Well after watching the first episode i was glad i did: i though surprisingly it was a very promising start and it got me completely hooked.
But unfortunately, after that one great episode it just gets more and more frustrating, so frustrating that i just couldn't take it anymore and had to stopped. I mean they show us everything in the 1st episode so you want to know how far it will get but after, it just feels like going backwards since the characters keep on doing the stupidest things ever. So we're stuck, the story doesn't get anywhere, on the contrary.
I personally didn't like the 2 male leads either. They get on your nerves, but maybe it has also something to do with the characters they're portraying. Anyway they don't grow on you. As for Park Min Young, for once i didn't like her acting (who doesn't want to pull out her hair every time she smiles like an idiot?)
Anyway, my words may be a little harsh . Of course it's not the worst and has some good points compared with other dramas. Some might even enjoy it. However it was too much of a disappointment : maybe the contrast between its potential and the actual episodes made me lose it. I watched this a month ago but even now i get irritated thinking about it. Too bad because i really felt like this drama had potential: loved the 1st episode and the soundtrack.

Story- It started off as any melodrama does with a traumatic event in the main characters childhood that separates them for many years until they meet again by chance or I guess fate. When they do meet again their lives are intertwined once again but this time many big secrets come out and in a way although they are able physically to remain by each others side they aren’t able to come together romantically till like the end due to these life changing secrets.
I liked the story enough because I never felt bored but I wish they would’ve cut it down by at least 4 episodes. The beginning episodes were kind of not that interesting so if they would have left some of that stuff out it really would have made the drama more enjoyable. The episodes didn’t feel long because they were well written but the series as a whole felt too long. Another weak point would be the romance. There were not enough romantic scenes between the leads. So even though this is supposed to be a romance drama it felt more like a business drama because they really focused more on the revenge/ company matters/ job competition portion. Something I did like from the story was the ending. For the most part they settled everything in a realistic manner and it didn’t feel rushed.
Acting/Cast- The acting by everyone was a pleasant surprise. I planned on watching this in the first place for Chun Jung Myun and already new he was a great actor. But I was worried when he got paired off with Park Min Young (didn’t like her acting in Sungyungwan Scandal and thought she was annoying in City Hunter) but I feel like she really tried with her character in this. Unfortunately, the leads had no romantic chemistry and it felt like they were suited to be best friends/siblings. Another actor I wanted to mention was Lee Jang Woo. Although this was the first role I had seen him in, I was impressed by how he portrayed his complex character as the arrogant but vulnerable chaebol son. I also will mention that I liked a lot of the supporting cast that played the characters on the Team Leader Heo’s sales team in the company. They made the business portion of the drama fun to watch. I also want to give it up to the actor that played our villain Chairman Seo. He was really scary and every time he yelled I got goosebumps!
Music- It was well done. It was memorable, but Im not obsessed with listening to it outside of the show.
Rewatch- Its really only good for a one time watch just because it can drain you and the romance wasn't that good. However, it is watchable because you dont get bored.
Although Man of Honor is not one of the best dramas I’ve watched, it isn’t as horrible as everyone is making it out to be. Is it a drama you’ll be missing out on if you don’t watch? No. But If you like Chun Jung Myun well enough and you like melodramas with a happy ending, Id recommend this.

Underated Drama, too many negative remarks
First and foremost, I do not understand all the bad reviews about this drama. I actually quite enjoyed this drama and was definitely worth the watch for me.Short Summary: A girl who has been trying to become a nurse suddenly has 2 baseball players appear in her life. She knew them both in childhood but lost her memories due to an accident. She gets mixed up in the MLs family, thinking she is the half daughter. At this time, the ML is still in love with her and not happy about the arrangement. The 2nd ML soon finds out that she is the girl from his childhood, but has to keep it a secret in order to keep her safe. This eventually leads to him falling for her, and thus starting our love triangle, and the plot of the FL getting her memories back and taking down the evil father of the 2ML.
This drama had a good plot. A good storyline to keep the viewers engaged. That being said, I definitely think it could have been shortened down to 20 episodes. But it was still enjoyable nonetheless.
For those wanting a love triangle.... this is the drama for you. I for sure got 2ML syndrome, and couldn't decide who I wanted the FL to end up with. Honestly, I was happy with both the MLs, but a part of me was still rooting for the 2ML. As we all do when we have 2nd ML syndrome.
For those wondering, it does have a happy ending, and I am pleased with how it turned out. For the rewatch value.... I'm 50/50 on this one. I don't know if I would rewatch it or not. I have a lot favorite dramas that I rewatch all the time, so I don't know how high this drama would be on the rewatch list. Especially because of that 2ML syndrome. But I might rewatch it if I'm in the mood for it. This drama, in my opinion is definitely rewatchable.

Below Average
I love PMY and decided to watch all her dramas. This one was on my list for quite some time, so i decided to watch.First of all, this drama is a pure mess. It gets cringey and has repetition almost every episode. 24 episodes is too much to begin with
Second, the acting. I dare say all the cast involved played at their lowest, even PMY. For instance, she acts dumb all the time. Laughs for no reason, but out of the blue she becomes this hero, then goes back to her lame self.
The MLs are even worse. The writer should be given an award for the worst writer ever in Kdrama history :)))
Third, the soundtrack. It genuinely has no soundtrack, Just 3 songs on repeat. Even the ost used is not new( heard it in some other dramas, Another bummer)
Overall, not recommended at all. Even if you're PMY fan, stay away from this one. She did much better in other dramas.

After I started watching this, i did think it was going to be mainly baseball based and hospital based, even thought it turned out not to be completely centred around the hospital and baseball, I really enjoyed watching this drama, as each episode made me want to keep watching.
I felt that the cast was well chosen as the actors played their parts amazingly , especially the main actors , they had me laughing and crying with them.
The music i thought suited the drama greatly as it emphasized the dramatic parts in a way that left a deep feeling.
I gave the rewatch value a 4 because it is a drama I would like to watch again, but not in the near future. It is a great drama, but I don't tend to rewatch dramas too soon after finishing them.
I highly recommend this drama, especially if you like revenge dramas.

But sadly, this drama made me sooo disappointed. It's story was very similar (AS IN VERY SIMILAR, WAY TOO SIMILAR) to Baker King, Kim Tak Goo. I didn't like Baker King and I didn't finish watching it. While I was watching the 1st few episodes, I thought that the plot was familiar and it was similar to Kim Tak Goo and when I checked who the director and screenwriter was, they had the same production team working. I mean, how could they create another plot similar to a plot that didn't catch a lot of people's attention.
I was very disappointed. I liked Park Min Young and Lee Jang Woo but I was very disappointed.

Granted, this drama DID have it's moments (mostly early on) and I will go forward with fond memories of a hilarious Joo Dae Sung [Kim Sung Ho] (takes my vote for best side character of the year) and the adorableness of Chung Jung Myung and Park Min Young (although their chemistry as siblings honestly takes the cake).
But other than that there is really nothing else. Personally, I don't think this drama is worth it so I won't recommend you watch it!
