A short drama with a slice of life concept. The story was cute, and it had a nice message to tell. The final conlusion was good as well. Another thing that i liked about this drama was the way that it was executed, with the addition of social media platforms or the mini interview. Although the story isn't much of a story, the ending was good, as well as the performances. In the music field, now, there wasn't anything special and I don't really remember any songs playing in the background. So, overall, a feel good drama.

There's nothing much to this drama, just a simple sweet, short and a relatable story to many girls who're pressured by others to date and get a boyfriend when you're not really interested.

I really liked the female lead's acting (Sohye), her expressions are really adorable.

The settings is light, fluffy, retro-ish vibe~ which I really like.

The story and the female lead's situation is very relatable to me, so that's why I gave it a 10/10, but I'm sure others will enjoy it too.

A great and relatable story, but bogged down by the performance

Overall, it was a nice, visually clean minidrama with a great message of not forcing yourself to follow the status quo. In it, we get to know Sarang as she encounters continuous pressure to date at the age of 20. Something that I think most singles, especially women, can relate to. Overall, she was quite relatable: a big foreign tv show lover, a busy student and hard worker, a foodie, a cat lover, and a loyal friend.

However, despite the good messages and quotable lines, I wasn't consistently sold by the performance. It didn't always feel quite natural or genuine. And the overarching framing, where Sarang is telling this story in some sort of interview, wasn't well established. And because of it, felt like a cop out to show her thoughts and distract from how her performance didn't keep us immersed in the story.

I came for the open-to-interpretation aroace story, of which this did have some reoccurring moments that resonated, but ultimately stayed for the quotability of the dialogue and the precious cat.

A straightforward PSA about living single.

Remember being in school and gathering for assembly so the teachers or guest speakers could pop in a VHS about fire safety, stranger danger, or how to say no to drugs?

That's what watching this miniseries felt like. From the preachy dialogue right down to the cheesy acting, the often over-exaggerated version of reality it presents to us tries very hard to explain the harmful side-effects of giving in to peer pressure and forcing a life of dating on someone who does not want to participate in it.

To its credit, it does summarize and clearly lay out the facts:
Just because someone's life doesn't look exactly like yours doesn't mean they aren't fulfilled by it.
Platonic love (for a person or a pet!) is just as important and fulfilling as romantic love and neither one should be valued more highly than the other.
Forcing yourself to date someone when you know you aren't interested will only hurt both of you in the end.

Admittedly, perhaps the preachy, in your face, no room for interpretation nature of the series is unfortunately needed in order to get the point across to the people it's trying to reach. It's short, surprisingly sweet, and to the point. So, overall, it will probably do a lot of good for those who need to hear what it has to say.

Also, Bo-ram and Oi the cat are the best characters. You can't prove me wrong. <3

A lot of web-dramas are pretty throw-away. While often quite cute and fluffy and fun (unless that's not in line with their particular genre, of course), when you analyze their stories objectively, they have no real substance. They try to do too much with their limited screen-time, and what they do end up doing is pretty shallow. That's definitely not the case with Society Obsessed with Love. SOL takes a simple storyline, and instead of over-complicating it with too much superfluous bits and bobs, it commits to simplicity. It's a story about contentment with one's life, even if that life doesn't look like everyone else's, and there's no need to dress that up or overdramatize it.

I would recommend this web-drama to anyone but especially anyone who lives and enjoys the single life, or to those who are maybe feeling a little down about their singleness. You'll definitely enjoy it.

Very good message

There is not much to this drama it's a very short kdrama only 5 episodes and they are no longer than 7 minutes.

But I like the storyline /message behind the drama. Having the pressure of friends and society to date or to be in a relationship with someone.

It's okay to be single and have a boyfriend is not a must in live, you can be single and happy. And changing youryso a boy can like you.

She was not ready for a relationship and only said yes because he liked her and her “peer pressure” and she started to realize that she had changed and didn't notice her cat was sick.

I felt bad for the guy because imagine finding out the person you're dating and that you love doesn't even like you and only dated you because and the girl too.

“Thought that I should date someone…..If I don't, I was obsessed with the feeling that I fell behind compared to other friends”.
