Let me first say I am not a huge fan of music dramas. I finally chose to sit down and watch "Shut up!:Flower Boy Band",(after it being out for a year), because my sister and I took on the Drama Genre challenge.

There were parts of the story that I was here for, while others I could have personally done without. The Main story line, beginning the Eye Candy band and their friendship, was the best part of drama. their friendship was endearing, and I think the best moments of the drama was from their interactions. I wasn't a huge Fan of Su-ah's characters, and the way the actress chose to portray here kind of irritated me. She felt redundant, and I found her character to be a little flat and underdeveloped to consume such a large part of the drama. Even with Ji Hyuk's and Su-ah's Romantic Story line, I never really saw chemistry between them. Which made me want to give up the drama at times because I was so disinterested in the love triangle. I just wanted to hear more music and other things related to the band.

I think the music in this drama was great, but I wish there had been more music from Eye Candy. I think by episode ten if I heard the song Byung Hee wrote for his muse one more time I was going to loose my head. So You could imagine how happy I was with "wake up",and that I actually liked it a lot.

For me this wasn't a life changing watch, and I can say in the past six years of Kdrama watching this doesn't fall into my top favorite. But I it was nice watch, and I particularly enjoyed the performance of most of the actors, (specifically eye candy), and will probably check them out if I see them in future drama's.

and to think that i put this show on hold for a long time, i kept watchn half and couldnt finish ep 1 then i just decided to bite the bullet and get thru. the begining of the show threw me off but by the end of ep 1 i was already hooked thanks to byung hee. his character was weird and attractive and i fell in love with him. after the tragedy i thought i couldnt take it but ji hyuk is my favorite too so i continued coz of him. do ll with his long hair just hypnotised me although he dint have many lines, myungsoo from infinite was just the visual of the group and it felt like m watching a variety show with idols. kyung jong and his accent was so cute u cant help but love him. it had alot of bromance and some emotional moments too. DAGCHIGO!!!!!!

What can I say about this drama? It's perfect, in an oh-so-subtle way. The way Reply 1997 Is, except much more bromance. The difference between this and other dramas is that they have a little bit of everything: romance, bromance, plot-lines that make sense and aren't overused, and the way everything plays out. That's not to say that it's very original and nothing cliche ever happens; they do. It's just the way these things are done, the way it's seems so realistic, so organic that you can't help but fall in love with it. One plot point will not play out for many, many episodes pointlessly but rather, everything gets resolved naturally and in a way that you can relate.

Of course, all the pretty boys this drama has to offer is a bonus. ;)

This. is my first review, and I wanted to save it for something I think really deserves a review. So here goes; This drama, is probably the unexpectedly touching drama I have ever watched. I find the acting so supurb I actually was in tears by the third episode. The music is great to, all of it composed for the drama. In fact the only thing I put a less than 10 on is the re-watch value because I just don't like watching shows more than once. :S

This show does not trail off into an akward ending. This show does not focus on anything unrealistic. It is just simply awsome.

As you might have guessed from the title, this drama is about a highschool band and how they got famous n whatnot but the most amazing part in this plot is how they fall together and the characters are well acted.

I have to mention here the drummer, oh my god, is sooo cute! lol. They are indeed an eye candy! :D

If you haven't watched this yet, you are missing out on a very very very heartwarming drama. :)

Thats all.

Starting as a story about a rock band of teenage troublemakers, Shut Up: Flower Boy Band looks more like just a fun-to-watch k-drama. As some unexpected events change a lot of things in the band and the lives of the band members, you can't help but continue watching and watching. It's not just another story of cool boys who want to succeed in the music industry. It's a story of lost, immature, passionate young musicians who persue their dream, fall in love, deal with bulling and most of all try to keep their friendship strong.
Although you can find some cliché in the storyline, this drama is unexpectedly good. The acting and the songs are also more than satisfying. This drama makes Dream High look at least overrated. Shut Up: Flower Boy Band is probably the best drama on the youth/music genre.

Good:
-The characters fit really well with each other and were written well.
-The acting was better than I initially expected.
-Music was catchy and interesting

Bad:
-Background information and the actions taken throughout the drama based on that information was lacking. Found myself put off or confused once in a while.
-Plot was good, but not the greatest. It didn't get me addicted to the drama.

Overall: This is a good drama worth watching if you like music.

No doubt this is one of the best dramas. When I was new in drama world in May I planned to watch it. But I almost dropped my plan to watch it because of the way people recommended it. But I’m glad that I watched it.

Before starting drama I wasn’t expecting anything other than music from it because of its musical genre. But after watching every single episode I expected more from this show and it gave me more!!
After reading synopsis it sounds like typical popular genre ‘school’ drama in which two groups are fighting against each other. Yes like many other dramas it has display of mature friendship, pure romance but other than that there are hidden messages of responsibility and it tells you to do the thing that you want to do and don’t force yourself to do the things that you don’t want to do. There are some touching moments. I won’t tell about ending because I don’t want to ruin your mood but I want to say, ending is perfect.

Every actor did great job in acting. They acted from their heart. I like all Eye Candy members including Byung Hee and Su Ah. It is one of the best acted dramas.

I have favorite OSTs for movies but I hadn’t favorite OSTs for dramas. Now, I have one. It is the first time that I liked every track from its OST. I didn’t like ‘Jaywalker’ first but then I loved it and…..‘Wake Up’…when I heard it for first time, at that moment I became addicted to it. I can’t stop myself from listening ‘Wake Up’.
I never felt boredom. It doesn’t have any dull moment and has only 45 minutes for each episode. So, I’m definitely going to watch it someday.

So I recommend this drama to every music lover (I mean everyone – who doesn’t like music!!??) and if you are looking for deep friendship, soft romance and music this is for you!!

A realistic coming of age drama showcasing the pains of finding and losing yourself along the way. I would say this is a drama focusing in more on the struggles of maintaining friendships and less on romance but in a way it's refreshing.

Sidenote: For the quest appearance of Lee Min Ki his character and acting are scene stealing and even if you cannot commit to the whole drama at least watch the first two episodes to see his performance. I'm curious to see where the main's in this drama head next a lot of future talents are riddled into this production. At some point I'd love to see Jung Eui Chul in a positive leading man role where he is less the dark and twisty character to the drama.

This is one of those dramas that warms your heart and makes you think about life and youth. I'm jealous of the friendship between these 6 boys - they may call themselves a band, but really, they are a family. For me, this drama is really about those defining moments when you grow up and start becoming an adult.

I thought the acting was well done by everyone. The music is amazingly catchy - I've been listening to Jaywalking and Wake Up on repeat since I finished watching the drama!

I thought this was one of those rom-com dramas like You're Beautiful, but it was a real tearjerker. The ending really touched me and I have no idea what to watch next because I keep thinking about this drama and the EyeCandy boys.

Definitely recommend this to anyone who's thinking about watching it - if you like a moving story about life, friendship and music, this is your next drama!

Shut Up Flower Boy Band is over :'(. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like a part of me is gone. I watched this drama from the very first day it aired until today. This is definitely different from any other k-drama I've ever seen before, and in a good way. It has a very raw, and "real" feel to it that I'm not used to seeing in k-dramas. I was drawn into and emotionally invested in the main characters from the start, and not because they're hot or whatever, but because the show and acting is that good. This drama was by far the most down to earth drama I’ve watch in a long while. It didn’t have the long dragged out conflict that just kept on dragging till the end. It came out quickly and was overcome in a reasonable way. What I love the most was the friendship bond. Your families are there for you right from the beginning when you were born so you have no way of choosing who you want as your mother or father but your friends are the ones that you get to choose. They are the ones that you will connect with, make good and bad memories with, do bad things together with, get into trouble with, cry with, and sometimes even fight with. Of course no friendship is perfect. It’s all about trust, communication, and being there for one another. If there’s no trust, communicating will be a hard thing to overcome. The bromance in this drama is definitely it’s most special point, the guys all have such distinct characters but they’re friendship is so strong. Honestly, at some points the bromance in this drama has me squealing wayyy more than the romantic storyline between Su-Ah and Ji-Hyuk, because that’s honestly a more simple and straightforward story. But with the band members it’s so interesting to see how they respond to situations together and how they respond to each other, I really like how they all react differently to different situations/people as well and there’s actually conflict within the band in terms of opinions but then regardless they are each others number one priority.
It was such a good drama and I know that I keep repeating it but it just really is. One of the best dramas I've seen this year and in a long time. The drama made me rage in anger, smile widely at its cuteness, cry for hours, feel frustrated over their decisions but...tested my sense because the situation was both right and wrong. Overall the conflicts in this drama had a moral for every lesson and I for one learned a lot. I learned some valuable lessons in this drama: trust, communicate, and being there for one another.

The story line was really great, a few things could have changed a bit but overall it was awesome. The acting was incredible, you get this bad boy vibe but still see that they are truly kind and great people. The bromance made me smile and feel warm inside (love how that's incorporated in the Oh Boy! series). This drama shows that no matter what you have to stick together and know that loyalty and friendship is a serious thing. The music was awesome too, I especially love their second song "Wake Up!", I have it on my ipod lol. I would watch this again and recommend others to watch it as well.
