This is the best drama that I have seen. Period. The friendships, the arguments, the reactions. Each and every character and storyline is perfect. I was so glad that I didn't stop at the second episode, because I would have missed so much. The music is perfectly timed and so catchy. Plus the guys arn't half bad to look at.

To cut to the chase one of the Best dramas I have seen. I put off watching this due to lots of other musical dramas being released around the same time. When I decided to give it a try It had me hooked within that first episode ( I love when that happens). I fell in love with Byung Hee and the friendship and brotherhood between the members of "Eye Candy". You get caught up in the fun of the the guys just being young reckless and having fun. The cast is talented without a doubt and definitely doesn't hurt that they are all very easy on the eyes. The Original Soundtrack is Awesome and just adds that much more to a great story.

I love this drama!!!
This show is so realistic!
The characters are so believable that I felt really connected to them and that i cared about them.
The music is so awesome! I’m listening to the ost all day long!
I finished to watch this drama in 3 days until 5am (!) today, and I’m starting it over right now..

After a year of hit or miss dramas, I decided to take a chance on this one. An honest depiction of what it's like to debut as a singer in a world of idols, this story wasn't as light as I thought it would be going in, considering it's a high school drama. The actors, though young, completely fit each of their roles and I wanted to cheer for each of the characters. I felt their pains, I laughed with them, celebrated their victories.

I definitely recommend this!

who watch this in 2016? Me!!
this great and loveable drama deserve some review.
i was hesitant to watch this, because there a lot of pretty boy and i though 'ah, this going to be boring and cliche'...but, i'm 110% wrong! i even watch it marathon even though its not weekend.

STORY :
its an original drama indeed, not usual story line, not just some love triangle and 'in your dream only' storyline. its really real, down to earth, i can imagine this kind of thing can really happen in real life. theres so many life lesson i get from this drama, mostly about friendship and loyalty, family, and of course love. the biggest lesson i learn that we need to stay true to yourself. each character and scene was connected, understandable, well build, very described very well. there is no slightest confusing moment.

ACTING :
ah...its hard to put this in words.
Lee Min Ki was my favorite out of the bunch, he's not even the prettiest of them but his character was so real, it glued to me even after i finish watching, though he's not present until the last episode, he is just supporting role, OMG, WHYY??!! supporting but important i guess. i still saving all the episode with him in it to rewatch it if i miss his character. Lee Min Ki portrayed Byung Hee very very well, his craziness, his free-spirited attitude and a leader charisma is all there in his eyes, in his gesture, in his every move, in every words he say, even the outfit he choose. i can understand why he became the leader and all of the other love him. I'm SOLD!!
Sung Joon did really great job portraying his newbie leader of the band. i can feel that hes really like Su Ah and never been in love before from his gesture whenever Su Ah in there.
Jo Bo Ah...so, this girl is really pretty, i can see why she become Byung Hee muse...this dark drama suddenly become brighter whenever shes on screen. shes brave and strong, a great female character
L's acting is kinda on and off in here, actually the scenario about his character is really well build (like the other) its just his acting is sometimes believable, sometimes not. but, his voice was soooo.....DAEBAK!!
Lee Hyun Jae acting is rather flat, for me he is the weakest actors in the drama, sadly, he and L was the prettiest from the band. but once again, the story was so strong and well build so his acting not even make me skip watching even for a second.

MUSIC :
Jaywalking, wake up...i dont really like it at first but this song is an ear-catching work of art...i love it after a few time.
Seung Hoon song (forget the name) was also an ear-catching song, and the voice of the singer is really fit the melody.

just watch this if you have time, it is a high quality story kind of drama so i can assure you that you're not wasting your time. it not just some cliche romance, its about life.

ONE OF MY FAVORITES.

I'm not even sure what genre is this. But this is something fantastic. I watched this out of nowhere. But starting from episode 1 I got really hooked to it. I am also happy I discovered Lee Hyunjae, he's so gorgeous.

BETTER DOWNLOAD JAYWALKING & WAKE UP! Really their music.

This is an appreciation drama to the boys you don't like in school. The back-sitters, the i'm-glad-they're-absent group. The bad boys. But if they're as good looking as these men, I wouldn't mind.

Maybe I get to watch it because I know one cast, Myungsoo from Infinite. Then I get to know them all. The cast is fantastic. They have their own viewpoints and personalities. Very addicting.

When I first saw the articles about this show before it started airing, I was mildly interested. I'd seen Sung Joon's acting before and while I enjoyed it, I was unsure of how well he would pull off a rocker. As it came closer to the time for the drama to air, my interest grew exponentially.

The first episode had me completely hooked within ten minutes. For me, that's saying something. I usually find that dramas tend to keep the story pace fairly slow in the first two episodes, thoroughly setting up the drama. That has always annoyed me, but then again I'm a very impatient person. So to see this drama really setting things up in the first two episodes with plenty of action... Needless to say I was thrilled.

To put it simply, Shut Up Flower Boy Band is superb. It takes bromance, first loves, music, and the struggles of being a high school student and rolls it all into a big ball of indie rock love. Each character has their own unique struggles to discover themselves. It shows the difficulties of coming into adulthood and having to balance friendship, love, school and work. I found myself laughing one minute, then crying for the next ten. Other times I was on the edge of my very uncomfortable seat, anxious to see what would come of their newest dilemma. More than once during an episode I found myself shouting at the screen, telling characters what an idiot they were, and getting just as frustrated as they did when things didn't turn out the way they'd - and I'd - hoped.

Perhaps the best part about this drama is the sheer imperfections. The characters aren't perfect. They aren't bubbly and cute. They are hard, raw and almost violent in their passion for life, love and music. That may be what makes it so addicting and fascinating to watch.

Shut Up Flower Boy Band is a must watch. I highly recommend it - and a box of tissues.

The start of the drama was really good. I like bad boys + music band, a great combo, I had so much expectations....
But it went all wrong -.-

Bad:
The guys were all pretty much the same, no character stood out from the band. The support charas too and the main girl was a typical good girl. No character development.

The story didn´t reach any peak and was predictable. Even the cliffhanger didn´t get me (every week i watched rather Dream High 2 first than this).

The pairings had no chemistry at all. I still can´t understand why someone liked the other.

Good:
The guys looks great :3

The music was listenable ^^

Lee Min Ki was great as Joo Byung Hee, unfortunately he had only a guest role.

I was so sad when this drama ended!
Was one of the best dramas i ever seen!
The drama had everything...the right chemistry, the right vibe, the right theme, the right history...everything was so perfect, even the "new" actors did it brilliant!
I just loved everything about this drama because it was so fresh, the history and the theme was different and creative! Was really amazing and at some point i was just wishing that this could be a "real" band and history, you really can get related with the history and the characters.
You really should watch it!

I must say, watching this was a great thing, but I will wait a while before I watch it again. The story was great until a certain incident happened, which felt like a truck rammed through my heart repeatedly. I still loved the show but I hated what they did. It was so not cool. It made me angry and that's why I'm taking away points for that. I really got attached... *sigh* You'll see what I'm talking about when you watch. I don't want to spoil anything... I loved the fact that it was about the friendship between the guys and watching them grow and become something else was cool. It would have been nice for them to stay together even after high school. But ya know people go their separate ways.
The casting was too perfect. Way too perfect. There was a lot of great bromance! It was just perfect. I got hooked thanks to Min-Ki oppa's character, Byung Hee. He was strange yet funny and attractive. I fell in love with him instantly. I wasn't going to continue the show because of what happened after episode 1 but Sung Joon oppa's character Ji Hyuk made it possible for me to continue. I fell in love with him too. The other characters were great, even L's character. He was a bit scary tho. Haha!
The soundtrack on this show was incredibly amazing!
It wasn't a boring drama, just filled with lots of emotions and about love and friendship and music. It was perfect!
I would recommend this for people who love school/love/friendship/music type genre of dramas.

The first two episodes of this drama was amazing. It was breathe taking, it made me want to watch more. Lee Min Ki, did justice for his part for this drama. I was completely captivated by him. But, when he went. I felt myself being bored with the drama and that made me so sad. Because the beginning was so strong and great. I found it hard to watch and continue watching after the first three episodes. I think that it was Su Ah that ruined it for me. I just ended up hating her by the 4th episode and I found it really hard to continue watching after that. Her character annoyed me and I didn't really like her at all.

I think that people should still give this drama a go even for just the first two episodes, because they were truly amazing and Lee Min Ki was amazing.

I really wanted to finish this drama, but I'm still trying to tell myself to go and watch the 5th episode, but I think this Su Ah character just ruined it for me. I would so watch the first two episodes over and over again though.

(I wouldn't take my word on it, just keep watching it. It's just I get easily annoyed by female characters and I can't bring myself to watch it any more because she was just someone that wouldn't like generally.)

GREAT SOUND TRACK THOUGH!

There's nothing particularly original to this story, and however it left a good impression on me. Actually I think this is an endearing and underrated drama.

The cast was overall well chosen (which doesn't mean that the acting was impressive; but it was OK). I liked the fact that some members of the band are musicians or idols themselves and they play their own instruments or sing.
Maybe Jo Bo Ah's acting was the lamest, although I didn't hate her character or anything.

Being a story about music I expected a much better soundtrack; not that it's bad at all, but I just expected it would be better. That's just my opinion anyway.

I already said in another review that one of TVN's features is good photography and good camera work, and this is no exception.

Finally, as many other viewers I also regret that Lee Min Ki was there just as a guest actor. That guy simply owned the two episodes he was in. However, I understand how that served to the plot and I would tell people not to stop watching the show because later on he's not in it. You won't regret it if you stick to it. It has a positive message and it's quite refreshing.

P.S. Can someone please give Jung Eui Chul a role that's not the one of a psycho or a loser? I mean, I like the guy. I'd like to see him smile or doing something funny for once and for a change, LOL.
