This is a story about a bunch of young guys who have to learn about growing up, friendship, and romance. It may sound like your typical drama, but let me say that it is not! The story and the characters felt realistic and I felt like I could empathize with them. The story didn't feel rushed and I didn't feel like any of the plot lines were quickly wrapped up or given a shoddy ending.
The characters in this drama were likeable and I honestly believe they picked a great bunch of guys for the main roles. There is romance for all of those people who like it, but the main point about this drama was the bromance. I personally love romantic dramas, but I truly looked forward to when all/any of the boys got together.
Since it is about a rock band there are like two songs they play again and again, but they are actually very catchy. Also, I believe they only played them whenever the band was actually playing that song, so it wasn’t like at every moment they played the same song. The music had me wishing that they were an actual band so they could make more songs together.
I would/will totally rewatch this drama. It left with me with a good feeling, and it had a nice message in the end.

At first, I really didn't want to watch it, but I gave it a try anyways. & I'm so glad I did. The storyline isn't completely original but it's still pretty good & it's played out in a nice way.
The acting & music are awesome. All the songs have been stuck in my head for days already. Hopefully they make more.
I can sincerely say I liked this a whole lot better than Flower Boy Ramyun Shop. & if you're wondering if you should watch this, I highly recommend that you do.

But the thing is,this is a kdrama version, plus this actors are super hot.And the story is put in a very interesting way.
The cast is surprisingly very well put.I mean they all have their own function, there are 2 love lines, and 2 possible love triangles, and there is humor, friendship and rivalry between the "genius" composer guy and the boys of the Eye Candy.
I dont think you will get bored in this drama because every episode shows a different development in the music career of the boys,so the story doesnt drag around but continues in a very fast pace.
For me,this drama which airs at the same time as the DR 2 has more of a priority, since this one is more interesting, realistic and tbh THE ACTING in comparison is much better.
This boys are new to acting, they arent very seasoned like Hyunbin or Won bin but I hope you can give them a chance since I think they are doing a very good job till now :)

it's definitely a MUST SEE drama.
Seriously, probably the best one I've ever seen!
First of all, the story. I can't say that it's really unique or absolutely marvelous, but I think it's quite good. As it's about music, about school band and such, it's easy to like it, nice to watch it and, of course, enjoy. It's not the first and not the last drama about music, however, the story is one of the better ones. It's not too predictable, but still easy to follow. You get into it from the very first moment and you kind of experience everything together with the main characters.
Of course there were some things I didn't like (for example, Byung Hee's storyline) but, well, bad things make other ones seem good!
As for acting I can't say if it's absolutely perfect as I'm not a judge or something, but it definitely makes that "rock band" feeling. I like the cast even though I haven't seen these actors in other dramas or films. But perhaps it's for the best as I can't compare their acting and I don't think of them as characters from other dramas. Anyway, what is really strange it's Kim Myung Soo's role! He seemed so silent and, you know, cute, nice and shy guy. But in this drama... well, he really is something! And I really do like this change!
More or less all characters are really great as they're so different but similar at the same time. They make an amazing cast and definitely a wonderful band.
Music in this drama is pretty nice. I even started to listen to "Eye Candy" performed songs and I love them!
On the whole, I'm quite impressed by this drama and I like it much more than other Oh! Boy series drama (Flower Boy Ramyun Shop).
And they didn't ruin the ending.(I was so happy when there were no "after 2 years scene!)

Just one thing to say
One of the overall best dramas i have ever watched. Though it is sadder than most and it made me tear up its overall just amazing Lee min-ki is a really good actor I’ve watched for awhile but the rest are top notch as well. I’m very impressed to say the least. And the music i still listen to it day to day it was amazing. I’m very impressed 10/10 would recommend. I cant quite recall but i don’t think the episode are too long. The overall rewatch rate I’ve watched it 16 times all ready. And I’m planning on watching it again. Was this review helpful to you?
I didn't expect to like it as much as I did!
This drama is a high school, rock band, coming-of-age, first love, unrequited love, bullying story. This drama encompasses a lot, but not a lot happens. What the drama DID show, however, was to show us the power of friendship and found family. We've got multiple hot-headed teenage men, that tend to speak with their fists, rather than using their words. The drama also did a good job of displaying class differences, removing the struggling young men from their known environment and plopping them into a high school of rich, privileged people. I especially loved how, though, rich, the privileged band members' friendships were superficial, based only on what each individual could get for themselves. Our main band members might not have anything of value on the surface, but they had an overabundance of love, trust, and support for each other, and that was wonderful to watch.Though Lee Min Ki was not one of the lead characters, he was excellent. He's very charismatic in this. Sung Joon as Ji Hyuk - was thrown into being the leader of the group as a necessity. He thinks of the group as a whole, but often felt overwhelmed with the responsibility. Sung Joon's acting was intense and brooding. There was a "heaviness" (for lack of a better word) about him, like he had the weight of the world upon his shoulders. Jo Bo Ah as Soo Ah was beautiful, of course, but I didn't love her character that much for most of the drama, I felt that she was using both men, in a way. And I just have to mention Lee Hyun Jae as Do Il - first, he's gorgeous and with his long hair he really stood out from the others. I liked his quiet presence, often the voice of reason in volatile situations. I felt that the girl playing Soo Ah's friend was seriously overacting, which was jarring when everyone else was doing such a good job.
I was bothered by the two sidekicks of the privileged band leader. The first one was SUCH an over-the-top bully, there was a secret that needed to be protected, and he never was held responsible for his bad behavior. The other bespectacled sidekick was just creepy to me. Flat affect, never showing any emotion, he didn't look or behave like someone that would have hung out with the other two.
The romance was somewhat lacking, I felt, possibly by necessity. There was an overabundance of "I like you, no I don't, I want to be with you, don't talk to me" in a few of the episodes. But the focus was not meant to be the romance, it's all about the bromances.
I'm not a head-banging, rock music lover, but I enjoyed all the music in this show.
And this drama had one of the best endings I've ever seen. With the way that things were going, I was afraid that the end was going to be kind of bland, but we get to see a little more into each young man's hopes and dreams, and we get to see them all together, and anytime they were all together, that was when the drama really shone.

Starting with the story line, its so honest and heart-warming! From the friendships to lifestyles, it properly addressed conflicts that come with making it big and being in a family-like friendship.
Every charater played their part perfectly and I never wanted to skip any charaters' own plot line. It is an older drama but is so memorable!
Obviously it wouldn't be a drama without any plot twists or major conflict and unlike other dramas, the twists in this show are real and bearable.
Only advice would be to stick it out regaurdless of the situation... There were a few times I wanted to stop because my poor heart couldn't take it, but nothing felt better than finishing it and feeling like I was on the journey too.
Be prepared to laugh, cry, smile, do a victory shout, and REWATCH.
Hope you love it as much as I did!!!! <3
