This drama was super cute from start to finish, and I love how the relationship between the main leads was different from a lot of cohabitation relationships where they start off hating each other. It was refreshing to see a male lead that wasn't arrogant and cocky; right off the bat, we saw that he was compassionate and caring for the FL, not because he liked her but just because of his personality. The little easter egg scenes at the end of episodes were also super cute because we got to see more of this.

Si Tu Mo was a lovable main female lead as well. She definitely stood up for herself, was straight and to the point when it came to romance and friendships, and it was really great to not have to get frustrated at those stupid misunderstandings that too many other dramas have.

Sadly, the last few episodes of this drama really slowed down the pace, and I felt like it dragged without any real storyline—they seemed like filler episodes.

The OST is also okay, but I love love love Time For A Love Song by Luna!

For me, what I love most about this drama is that it's such a realistic feel-good romance. If you are looking for a no angst, believable and convincing romance - this is the show for you. I love it so much for its realism and treatment of relationships, and how characters in the show actually do grow and mature from their relationships. The romance here is a slow burn, and may not be for all viewers, but I really recommend if you are looking for something lighthearted and yet satisfying.

Plot: solid as far as can be for a romance drama, no glaring plot holes. Pacing was good for me as I felt it gave the drama adequate time to really explore and show the various stages of a relationship from start to end. We saw different characters slowly fall in of love, we saw the tenacious "grey area" ambiguous stage, we saw sweet romance. We also saw a slow burn heartache, learning to grief and let go, and dogged refusal to give up.

Acting: incredible chemistry between the leads and you can really see/feel the love from them for each other. Fair Xing in particular deserves a shoutout because she was so natural and convincing as an independent, smart and bubbly Situ Mo. There were no cringey, overly act-cute (but trying to pass off as naturally cute) moments by the FL, which I really appreciated. Fair Xing was convincing as an outgoing bubbly girl, and also convincing in her sad/angry moments where she questioned herself/ her past decisions.

I’m not sure where to start. I absolutely loved this drama and it was also my first Chinese one !

I would say I wasn’t that hooked on the first episode, but later on I was.
It’s really cute to watch how Gu Weiyi and Situ Mo’s relationship develops because of how Gu Weiyi tries his best to gain advice from his friends - and his professor.

This type of drama is my sort of type - a romantic comedy. It was really cute and heartwarming!!

Okay that’s all I’m going to say because idk what to write. bye

Cute RomCom with little com and no follow through.

This was a fluffy, slice of life Rom-Com. The second half of the series is at least consistent with its themes over the first half which can't really seem to land any of the jokes or complete out a subplot.

The story revolves around the love story of Si Tu Mo (Momo) and Gu Wei Yi - two college kids who end up being pushed together when they both end up as apartment mates in an off campus apartment owned by Gu Wei Yi's mother. The story's main conflict is that Si Tu Mo has been in love with their mutual friend Fu Pei since high school but he's too scared of his father to confess their mutual attraction so he treats her like a pseudogirlfriend, possessive and needy but also emotionally unavailable. It's a cute little slice of life about being in school, trying to land internships but also the misadventures and misunderstandings of first love and dealing with first relationships. If you want a show that's just mostly fluff with a little bit of drama - this would probably fall right up your alley.

Cons:
- the show cannot for the life of itself land a joke or a subplot - it's constantly embarking on these tiny stories that don't really have a conclusion - Momo's boss steals her work, Momo quits her job, the internet finds out what Momo's boss did and the boss gets in trouble - does Momo land another job? Or get her job back? TBD. The audience is not told the resolution, at the end she's still unemployed and then there's an epilogue so we have no idea. This seems like a running theme in like the whole show. It just cannot land a punchline and complete the ending. There are so many times where I was confused at the point of the last 30 minutes of scenes for it not to progress the story forward and end up getting completely dropped in the next episode.

- the SML/SFL do not make any sense, it's such a one-sided relationship. The SFL (Wang Shan) is such a cool, hot, smart person and for some reason she's madly in love with SML (Fu Pei) who is sad, tall and hot but mentally a child? He grows into a better person by the end of the show from where he started but if you go from -50 to -10, you're still a -10. Fu Pei really sucks as a SML. He really only cares about himself, he has very little ambition and the ambition he does have - he doesn't care for follow-through. He asks the SFL out by saying if she doesn't go out with him, he'll hit himself with a rock. What?? Meanwhile Wang Shan is HOT, she's the third smartest person at their school, she's accomplished, she's sweet, respectful. What is her flaw? Oh, she's from a poor family ??? GIRL PLEASE. Meanwhile she's running after him registering him for his exams, tutoring him, reminding him to apply for bank loans for HIS business, keeping the lights running in HIS business. What is he doing to make her life better? NOTHING.

- the communication trope between the two main leads where the FL is passive aggressive and the ML runs after her all the time is SO frustrating. This is a first relationship show so I'm not even mad at the FL for being passive aggressive, I'm mad at the writers for never correcting it and asking her to grow as a person. This would have made for really good tv for the FL to understand that her bf is not a telepath and she needs to understand how basic communication works. There was a lot of growth and development given to the ML but the FL really doesn't get any emotional or character growth - she is the same through out and that really harms her character in the second half when she is the one being emotionally stunted and block headed.

Honestly I'm glad I watched this because I needed a reason to get over Legally Romance and this was a good palate cleanser but I would not watch this again.

For Me, A one time watch drama

gu wei yi and si tu mo are so cute together. They go through lovely as well as funny moments. I really liked the drama till the end. I don't think I am very happy with the ending where they have a kid. I think that the drama should've ended with them just getting married. The other characters are interesting too . I really want to mention Gu wei Yi's jealous lab mate. He is so funny. Even his teacher was funny. I wouldn't watch the drama again, but I think its pretty nice for a one time watch.

I've seen this multiple times now and I still love it. Sometimes I have to pause when I know the cringe is coming, but it's still amazing. It's not common that a drama actually makes me laugh out loud, but I absolutely love this one. It's one of my go-to comfort shows, where when I just wanna curl up and watch something sweet this is one of my usual fall backs.

I love the leads and their entire dynamic, with Si Tu Mo not just being the ditzy to Gu Wei Yi's smart, but instead having an equal relationship with just as much give and take. Gu Wei Yi is portrayed as intelligent, but not overbearingly in all aspects of life like you'd get from most smart male leads. He's also not arrogant about it, once again, like most smart male leads would be, and never puts Si Tu Mo down or makes her feel any lesser for not having his level of intelligence, as he seems to also understand in just how many ways her intelligence can be superior to his own in other fields of life.

They had a lot of cute scenes together that truly showed their dynamic, and I really am a sucker for whenever stereotypically "mature" characters get the chance to act like complete children, which they both do a lot. They each show different layers of themselves and their own maturity through their actions for each other and in general. Them calling a rumba their child and referring to themselves as its parents, them having fun in a ball pit, them having a watermelon eating competition to determine who likes it more, him hiding her food in a high place when she's ignoring him so she has to talk to him, but then also their level of communication where they complain about each other before ultimately apologizing 30 seconds later and forgoing fights which in other shows could have spanned multiple episodes.

I think it's just kind of refreshing to see what's actually a pretty healthy relationship. Not too much excess drama, no one TRULY tearing them apart (a little bit from side characters, but there's no backstabbing or plotting, just a touch of good old fashioned jealousy which encourages the characters to acknowledge their feelings for each other). Strong communication where they both have their boundaries and if Si Tu Mo tells him not to touch her, to let go of her from a hug, or just in general she doesn't want to go any further, he back off. No forcing her to do anything, no uncomfortable "Was that sexual assault...?" no saying he just couldn't help himself, he lets go, he takes a step back. He proceeds to actively talk out what's happening even though you can tell they're both uncomfortable talking about everything, especially him at times, he's not the most talkative person ever. But they still proceed to talk it out and maybe hug after if they're both okay with it.

All in all, I just love their innocent dynamic and respect of consent, and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cute, completely uncontroversial show to brighten their day.

I've been looking for a feel good drama lately, but I haven't been enjoying the ones I'm trying until I stumbled upon Put Your Head on My Shoulder. To be honest, the synopsis kind of threw me off because it sounds very basic and cliche, and it reminds me exactly of Good Morning Call.

So, what made me watch this?

I scanned from the comment section for some affirmation, because I'm also not the type to just easily ignore a cute drama poster. Lol. Good thing I did, because the top comments ALL only have nice words about this. So, I tried to watch it. And yup! Don't get thrown off by the synopsis. It is totally different from the other dramas that has cohabitation concept.

And while the story is indeed still very basic, the chemistry and acting of the actors as well as their characters' personalities makes the whole environment more refreshing. The main guy is your classic high-IQ pretty face boy next door. But unlike the other ones who always act superior (and let's be honest — a bit asshole) over the lead girl, Gu Wei Yi here was never an asshole towards Si Tu Mo — the main girl. He always try to understand Mo Mo and was always very gentle with her.

Si Tu Mo on the other hand is a pretty level headed character considering the nature of the story. She was never the "chasing-the-guy" type of character as it always have been for others. Don't get me wrong! There's nothing wrong with going after the guy, but I just find Mo Mo's overall personality rather refreshing. She's like Bei Wei Wei of Love O2o but much more interesting and with more emotions.

Wei Yi and Mo Mo are VERY ADORABLE. You can't help but smile while watching them. The comedic nature is also a plus point. If you love A Love So Beautiful and Love O2o, you'd definitely fall for this one as well. I'd say that this is like a fusion of those two c-dramas. Put Your Head on My Shoulder is very light and feel good, nothing too heavy. A good drama to watch if you want to give yourself a nice positive break.

Story
It's a story about love, there is not much plot but the sweet thing you don't just see the typical couple romance "how they met and in the final they kissed" it's more like you see the developing of their love and you go trough the journey until they even live together in a relationship until they get married.
I've skip most parts not include them together- their have a perfect chemistry between them, it look real and genuine so i like to watch only them, maybe the other couple would have been interesting but i didn't like the actors...so i pass.

The music is not my cup of tea it's just one song repeat itself, and the song is very boring and not creative.they could have adding more music more songs to make it better.

The cast - like i said the couple- love their acting they are really good at this kind of rolls.
also the family are good.

overall, it was high quality not only the filming and the cast but the developing of the scenes and the way you can relate and connect to them and even miss them when it's already end.

24 episode in just couple of days i like it a lot and at first i can say for sure they copy al ot from Koreans, the vibe the filming the looks the feeeling.. i know the specific scenes. but yet it was worth it i guess

One of the most fun to watch romance dramas

This is my first review and I'm going to keep it brief and to the point , the main leads were incredibly likable, at least the main guy was. Going into this drama I expected him to be the stereotypical genius who had little to no social skills and therefore was going to have a bunch of awkward antics and the romance was going to somehow blossom from that. Although he does end up exhibiting some of those quirks, for the most part the main lead was very much a social and likable character and he just oozed charm through his actions. His actions had motives that felt genuine, and maybe I was just starting to get fatigued by main leads who go out of their way to do stuff to seem charming, but I definitely could imagine why someone would begin to fall for a guy like him. My review is going to be mainly focused on him because well, the show doesn't really do a whole much else.

The main female lead is also pretty good in her role, her plot (like much of the drama which I will get to later) doesn't really do much for the overall drama however she has good chemistry with the main lead. I don't want to sound like im underplaying her performance because as a character they just played well of each other and you can really experience how the main lead falls for her (sorry for referring to them by their leads I'm terrible when it comes to names for characters in dramas)

My only gripe with this drama which is the reason why I wouldn't be able to put it any higher than maybe like an 8(?) (the only reason i didn't is because I've given more involved dramas an 8 and it wouldn't seem fair) was because of the lack of a real plot to carry the story. This is where I go into spoiler-y territory so I'll just put this here, If you want to see a nice couple fall in love and be cute and stuff and make you regret being single then yeah go for it have fun you won't regret it. However if you want some nice plot to be resolved and to see the characters face something outside of their love for one another then I'm hard pressed to recommend it.

its on netflix so its an easy binge :)

spoilers from here on out

There really isn't much to spoil as I said there really isn't a plot but this becomes incredibly apparent after the main couple get together, this isn't helped by the fact that I'm used to watching dramas that are like 14-16 episodes long and they usually won't even have their first kiss until like episode 9 or something and by then the main plot is in full swing. At around episode 10-13 or so the main two leads are already dating and with half the show left, the drama becomes very transparent about its lack of urgency in creating a reason for the show to keep going. I may be exaggerating when I say there isn't any plot but in terms of a major plot there really is not one and the show just kinda ends after they graduate and get married. For this reason the show leaves you with a sense of "huh okay i guess?" As nice as it was to see the main leads get together and be cute you don't really get anything else out of it and it just makes the show feel more of a time waster. However if you don't care about that and are just looking for some nice chemistry and romance (which I was after watching a few eps of a drama where the main lead were really good looking but my god did they have like zero chemistry) then this will fill the void.

okay cool thanks :)

Refreshing is what this was. I didn't read anything about this show going into and I'm not disappointed. It was really cute, I squealed a lot.

I absolutely love the MFL, it's the first time a drama has made a female lead that doesn't do the absolute most yet nothing at all. Her reactions made sense and she stood up for herself. Yes, she had her moments of jumping to conclusions but it wasn't over the top. They also dressed her like she loves herself and I had to stan. I get so tired of c-dramas dressing their female leads in the ugliest clothes. That height gap did it for me. I actually think Momo was one of the best written characters in the show. Followed closely by Shan Shan.

Gu Weiyi was a weird one but it was nice to see the male lead pursue the girl first. Him being so clumsy in love was endearing. I will admit, I doubted him but he surprised me a few times in the show. I was, I'll admit it, swooned. He loved to pick her up like a little doll :((((. All I gained from this was a lonely heart.

Now this show had an inconsistency that was the weather. I was really confused toward the season that this was all happening in. Momo always wears shorts, t-shirts, sneakers, etc., but there's a scene where it snows suddenly. I'm just confused about the weather in China. Is it that inconsistent? I just couldn't follow the time flow when the weather flip flopped. I never knew how much time had passed.

That being said, I really enjoyed this show. It left me with good feelings all around. I think it's a simple, sweet, and cute drama to pass the time. I do agree with the other comments that this drama didn't have much plot, but I think that was okay for this one. Sometimes, life isn't that dramatic.

Cookie cutter rom-com

Slice of life, coming of age kind of rom-com, kind of meandering with no real plot or direction. No villians, no invasive love triangles, no break up.
The romance is cute but certainly not the fluffiest ive seen. I liked the characters, the acting, and the chemisty for the most part. Did start to FF through a lot of the side characters and most of the parts with FL at work.

There are a couple of kiss scenes, all of them fell flat for me. Very stiff and unnatural, like watching 6th graders who dont know what theyre doing and might be slightly repulsed.

A lot of people really liked this show so i gave it a go but it was just kinda 'meh' for me.
