I started Watching this show and it was eye catching the title itself. Its really interesting as how Si Tu Mo lives her life in the dorms, later moving on with her college life and the male lead, a genius falling in for a candy love relationship! Its very amazing how the comic elements have mixed into the story through the actors' behaviour. Especially parents of both sides. We see how friends help each other, sometimes how we need to get on with our things on our own and we find that later through all that time there's that particular person standing beside us, so silently. Compared to many stories i have watched this drama did not make me cry half of my life out, rather i was happy and very interested on the storyline each time i watched it. I think if you are a person who believe and has hope in love you won't find it very cheeky.

I initially decided to watch this drama after rewatching A Love So Beautiful because they are based on books by the same author (which I absolutely love and can rewatch a billion times).

The first thing I would say is Put Your Head on My Shoulder is completely different from A Love So Beautiful, so I don't think that this drama is a good drama to watch if you are experiencing withdrawals from ALSB like I was. This drama is the definition of light-hearted. The characters are cute and the story is simple. I think this is one of those dramas that you can watch while cleaning or doing chores because it's very calm and slow (which is what I did haha).

I do admit that I thoroughly enjoyed this drama because of the main characters - their love is so innocent and cute, and the moments they share are often hilariously awkward. However, I do have many gripes. First, I do not think the side characters charmed me in any way. I found myself being super bored during their love story (partially because I really did not like the character of Fu Pei, super obnoxious and annoying in my opinion). Second, I feel like the story really was missing a lot of the classic story arc. This drama does not have a lot of *drama* and many of the conflicts throughout the story are addressed extremely lightly and ignored, which made overall series seem a bit anticlimactic. That being said, I still really liked the drama and the main couple's dynamic 100% made the entire drama.

Hi Guys! A very Happy New Year 2020
I hope you guys scan through my review once so it could capture an idea in your minds.

This piece of drama "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" is a very humorous story with a lot of kawaii (cute) interactions between the ML and FL who were acted out by Lin Yi and Xing Fei. I haven't seen the acting of Lin Yi before so this is my first but Xing Fei is one of my fav actress because her roles are quite good in almost every drama and she is neat and simple too. Some of her other drama include Master Devil Do Not Kiss Me 1 & 2 and Your Highness Class Monitor.

Now Coming back to Put Your Head On My Shoulder
The story is a smooth sailor which shows the daily relationship between two couples. It is also very funny due to two mere opposites getting attracted to each other. A typical topper nerd guy (especially physics which is icky...for me) who is hot...no...super hot and a bit silly when it comes to wooing girls. But later he gets into his character a Boyfriend very well which shows him as a good man and boyfriend material. Not everyone will like a drama like this but it is good to watch because you can literally relate to either one of the leads if u are like them. Hahaha. The FL is just doing a great job.

Something I didn't like about this drama is everything is going toooo fast and there needs to be a stp button. Some of the scenes are a repeat but still it was heartwarming.

I hope this review helped some of you out there. I am sorry if I offended anyone but all this here is of my own opinion.
Thankyou for reading

A reel that feels so real

If I were to describe the drama in one sentence I would say it is a light, bubbly, cute type of romantic comedy young adult drama. But if I were to describe it in few sentences, I have a few things to say.

First of, I would write this without comparing it to any cdramas that is mostly tackled when this drama is being mentioned. I would tell my opinions on the drama itself.

Storywise, it was just your normal college romantic comedy drama. It was purely romance. No slice of life, no family dramas, no annoying (evil) second leads, no broken relationships. If you want to watch something that would give you butterflies just like your first love, I recommend this drama. It really catered the "romance" part and made me satisfied with the "comedy" part (the secondhand embarrassments is real). I was very pleased at Si Tu Mo's character because even though she is naive, she's neither irritating nor displeasing. She doesn't overreact and she doesn't push herself to the things she wanted. She know her worth. As for Gu Wei Yi, just another fictional character you'll surely fall in love with. But the special thing about him in the story is, he was never made with the perfect image. Despite how he seems to have it all, he was still written with flaws which made him more realistic. Thus, it wouldn't change the fact that his character was played and written perfectly imperfect and once again, a character set the bar too high.

The chemistry was perfect. I love how their clothes always match each other. I also like how the cinematography appeared, the colors where so vivid which makes the drama more fun to watch. Plus, did I forgot to mention the cute height difference they got there?

This is the type of drama you would definitely see if you wanted to feel in love. A drama you would want to binge-watch on a rainy day.

PS Gu Wei Yi look so handsome in white coat. I am a scientist (medical field) too and I would say not every guy look so good in white coat.
PPS It plucked few of my heartstrings because I'm only 2 weeks away graduation and the part where they were wearing their bachelor's gown felt special to me. Well my gown is hanged in my room and I can see it all the time. But yes, I'm graduating university life soon and I don't have a Gu Wei Yi by my side, I thank you.

Sweet little rom-com with a fair share of clichés

This is a very easy to watch show with low angst and simple plot. However, this puts a lot of weight on the actors and interaction/chemistry to lift this beyond average. Unfortunately, I don't think they quite pulled it off. It is not bad and there were definitely cute moments and skinship (a bit wooden until the end stretch) but a lot of it feels very scripted. Honestly, the dorky ML genius has been used a few times and The Love Equations did it better. The acting from the ML here seems to be stuck in aloof or quietly happy mode but not much in between. All the tropes are present and quite obvious. The trope of the genius being bad at something then put all his efforts into research and then practice it (in private) until he get good at it is over used. The worse part of this approach is that it telegraphs the sub-plots all the time, including a VERY important plot development towards the end of the show which I won't spoil but it was definitely a facepalm moment (just how naïve and inexperienced can they be?!). In fact there are a number of facepalm moments which serious took points off in my view. The whole confession business was dragged out for too long and it became frustrating. I really wanted to slap him a few times and tell him to just say "I LIKE YOU!". Secondary characters were introduced and integrated over several episodes. Just when you think that they were there to spice up the story line, they disappeared or did nothing consequential, whatever. So there you have it, a nice, sweet, simple college romance drama with angst lite and minimal plot twists.

I give such a high rating because of the cast but I didn't like this drama so much because there are so many issues in the plot. First thing, the story was actually so boring and everything moved so slow. Gu Wei Yi feelings were there but Si Tu Mo feelings WEREN'T there at all. I mean she was so in love with Fu Pei and then suddenly fall for Gu Wei. Like nothing ever happened. Anyways, I am sad about it because the cast was very good but the story and plot, nope. This drama is for those who like cringy dramas.
I can say that is good because there are not love triangle and melodrama scenes, but for me, their story is not real, I mean in real life never will happen what happened here. Like seriously, no one will make such big eyes when a boy kisses or so cringy with touches. I really think that this drama is for children.

This was so darn cute. I got a few good laugh out of this which was that more than I really expected. I will tell you that there were so many scenes that had me super frustrated and those scenes were the almost embraces or the almost kisses. It was so many of them that it was exasperating. It was still good though. I love the growth of each character and I especially love that the female lead was smart, strong and hilarious. Her character had the perfect balance. Lately there have been so many series were the female lead chances a love interest so desperately it’s sickening but not this one. She was sweet yet resolute. The male lead was equally amazing. I loved the fact that he was sweet, consistent and genuine. I really enjoyed it. My only complaint is that I wanted more meat in the ending. It was sweet but I would have loved to see more. There was a big time jump. The supporting cast were fun to watch. No psychotic cast members or damsels in distress.

I love the way their relationship developed. I kinda like where the ML and FL has a height difference.

Lin Yi the ML was a bit awkward at times but I understand because he was fairly new. I don't have any issues with the FL, she did not linger on her crush for the second male lead. I seldom have second male lead syndrome and if I could avoid a love triangle story I would but most drama this is already built in so I do not have a choice so I cannot say any good things about the secondary characters for this drama since I was primarily concentrating on the main couple.

If you like something light and fluffy this drama is for you. To be honest I have rewatched this several times so for me yes it is rewatchable if you just want to relax and have nothing to watch.

The storyline is quite amazing ????
I started watching it after watching a few clips online. It really caught my attention. After watching so many dramas( I'm a drama addict fyi), I was looking for a story like this.
Even though I was quite annoyed at the second-lead in the beginning, the story had quite interesting turns, which held me hooked to it.
Actually why I liked it so much is that, it's quite similar to Love o2o, which is my all time favourite. And it's quite light hearted compared to Love o2o, was a complete stress-buster. I've downloaded the whole drama, n would re-watch it again n again, maybe until I understand the dialogues without subtitles ????

Such a lovely series - and it was my first Chinese one actually.

Without saying too much, it was slow paced, entertaining and fun. Almost everything about this drama felt nice, right, healing? of sorts. It's almost as if you're inside your bed, comfortable and warm. Sometimes the multiple shots and the montages of scenes did irk me, and I did skip through most of the second plot (the friend's plot) because... I simply didn't care all that much about his character - but it was nice for the writers to include a sub plot, even if it was just not one I liked. I really recommend it for anyone that wants something quite free of overdramatic plots.

Accidentally found this drama after I started watching Chinese dramas. It was my first youth chinese drama.

STORY:
The story is very simple as it follow a couple at the end of their university year and the beginning of their professional life. I thought it was well told with a good balance between school life, training life and their challenges and a bit of office life. And all along we are seeing these two persons getting together and how they become a couple. Everything looked natural and the pace of the story was very good. There is not evil person, no terrible drama, and although things looked very secured for the main couple I felt concerned and close to them and I cheered for them. I believe it is because the narration gives less parts to the secondary characters (second couple, rivals, friends, family...) and invites us into the "almost" intimacy of the main couple as we these two live, eat, sleep, go to work, go to the supermarket together in assorted colors every day. Overall I thought the story was cute, very natural and the ending was nicely wrapped.

ACTING / CAST:
This was my first time watching Fair Xing in a drama. I thought she was spot on in this role. She was cute, smart, combative and tried not to doubt herself. The main guy was great too. Perfectly portraying some cute gentle nerd who overcomes his lack of sociability for the girl he liked out of hand. I am looking forward to see his new projects. More than everything, I thought the chemistry between these two people was the biggest quality of this drama. They were just incredible together on screen and yes the difference of height helped a lot. The second leads were nice too. The second lead actor was a bit stiff but I guess it was his role. I saw him in other works where he was quite fun. The couple he forms with the second female lead has less cuteness but how they become a couple is credible too and you are happy for them as they are good persons. All the actors were ok and I liked the mother, the parents which brought the nice family touch to this drama.

MUSIC:
I guess the music was good and helped . I don't remember much of it meaning I did not like it to listen to it beside watching the drama. I was a bit surprised there was some many cat and animals sound' effects but you get used to it and it brings something to the cute mood.

REWATCH:
I think the story is very simple and although I felt close to them and eager to know how they would end I don't think it is good enough for me to rewatch it entirely. I still remember some great scene I would gladly rewatch though: the hospital when she is sick, the trip to the seashore, the failed first time, , the trip to Germany....

OVERALL: One of my favorite of 2019. Super recommended.
