but things get hilariously complicated when she sneaks out of the hospital and she ends up on this unplanned trip with her dad. on the other hand we get a lighter comedic family trip with Young Soo, his daughter and Saet Byeol's grandmother xD
the 1st half of this was simple, funny and silly, but when they start to explain the backstory it gets really heartbreaking I couldn't stop crying :)
overall this turned out into one beautiful heartwarming story that brings people together! even the gangsters were nice people ;(
I honestly love this kinds of stories, it's a sad happy movie I wouldn't mind rewatching~

Good papa
I watched a movie from Cha Seung entitled Man on High Heels and he is really a different person in this movie.I cried a lot at the end of the movie, especially to watch the excellent chemistry with all my favorite actors and Um Chae-Young. Um Chae-Young is also great in this movie as the sick daughter. SHe was a bit disappointed at first when she met her mentally handicapped father but after spending time with him when she sneaked out of the Hospital to get an autograph, they was able to interact with each other.
In the middle of the film, we find out that it was an accident while working that left his father mentally disabled.
This movie is worth to watch too

Heartwarming family story
I really enjoy watching "Cheer Up, Mr. Lee", there are some scenes that are so heartbreaking, audience need a handkerchief to wipe teary eyes. The young actress, Uhm Chae Young that portrays Saet Byul performs so well as a cancer patient and steals our hearts. The veteran actor, Mr. Cha Seung Won, is really good in his act as a disabled Chul Soo. He performs it so well; it must not be an easy act to do. All actors/actresses really interpret their characters well and deliver a heartwarming story. The interaction between two brothers, Chul Soo and Young Soo reminds us of how brothers are; it is funny to watch but it must be painful to live with a disabled brother, obviously, a strong brotherly bond that keeps them together in thick and thin. The family interactions between Young Soo and his wife, Eun Hee, and his daughter, Min Jun, look so real that it could happen in any family situations. Their love as a family is palpable. I really recommend this heartwarming filmWas this review helpful to you?
Hidden gem with a very heartwarming story
I accidentally found this hidden gem while I'm browsing through Netflix. I saw the reviews and it was mostly good so I decided, 'why not give it a try?' So far, it's one of the great decisions that I didn't regret. The storyline is definitely interesting specially when the story about the father has been revealed however I do believe that it was the wonderful acting that made this whole movie a success. The father and daughter's chemistry is so amazing that it's already touching just seeing them together. They really made the character alive which is the reason why the audience will definitely be smitten by this movie.
I really recommend this movie because it's heartwarming and it's really worth the watch. I really love how they portayed good deeds as something that comes around one way or another. Also, prepare to wipe your tears as it will surely make you feel vulnerable and just want to cry everything out.
