The granny with dementia is the only witness of the day. In her mind, Moon Hee is ‘Secret Jouju’, the princess in TV animation. In reality, Moon Hee is a granny with Alzheimer’s disease cared by her son, Du Won and the grand-daughter, Bo Mi. On one secret night-out with Bo Mi, Bo Mi gets a hit-and-run accident. Moon Hee is the only witness, but she rather mumbles the nonsense. Bo Mi stays in a coma and the police can’t help. Now Du Won has to track down that culprit with a few pieces of the vehicle and his mother’s might-be-meaningful gibberish. (Source: HanCinema) Edit Translation

Entertaining movie
was a very cute movie with cute characters. The grandma (played by Na Moon-Hee) was very cute, the little girl (played by Lee Jin-Ju) was absolutely adorable, and even the dog was really cute. Also, I was surprised by how good of a performance the dog, “Aengja,” had (lol). Moreover, Lee Hee-Jun showed a great acting performance. It wasn’t as good as his performance in , but that’s a totally different genre of movie, and so, it’d be unfair to compare the two. He showed great acting in this, nonetheless.Furthermore, the movie had lots of funny scenes, as one would expect from a film of this genre. However, it didn’t only have humor, but also elements of mystery and emotional scenes as well. It showed how scary Alzheimer’s disease can be, and in that sense was a “real” movie.
had good acting performances by the cast members, but other than that, I can’t really say there was anything special about the film. It’s a light comedic watch that won’t surprise you in terms of its story. However, if you enjoy watching humorous films, I’d say this could be a decent light watch.♡

"It's ok if you don't remember me; I'll remember you."
"Oh! My Gran" is a classic heart-wrenching movie with a twist of justice.Nowadays, almost every movie with the synopsis of dementia on elders, it'd almost a guaranteed hit on the tear-jerking genre. Well, it's not wrong. But add the plot with a time constraint, say there's a criminal on loose who's getting away as day passes. Then, stack it up with comedic moments of misery that elder with dementia could cause, and serve it up with those bubbly backstories that add to sentiments.
At the end of it, you've got a korean movie that dances around your smiles and tears, tugging your heart along for the ride.
And that's "Oh! My Gran".
