Not extraordinary but it's interesting.
I really enjoyed this one. It was a wholesome movie with both emotional and hilarious scenes together and it was a good blend of it. It's definitely different cause it first Korean production related to space. As its name suggests it's the story of space sweepers who do the cleaning of space debris in the year 2092. We all have wide imagination of how our future will be and actually they did a good job cause it seems like future. As I said the story isn't extraordinary but it's entertaining. It does have many plot holes and answered questions in the last but we cannot expect to show it all in the duration of 2 hours. The actors did a good job in acting I guess the cast was good for their roles. I would really like to appreciate Park Ye Rin she's such a cute girl and did a great job portraying Dorothy.
The best part is its graphics and cinematography it's the real strength of this. The beautiful scenery and realistic graphics are really great.
Overall I really enjoyed it, don't expect too much from it but still, it's worth watching so give it one chance if you really love sci-fi and space you won't regret it watching.

A first sci-fi space k-movie that doesn't fall From a Hollywood production
this isn't a secret that Korean movies are still behind and lacking in good production.Of course not to mention sci-fi movies which are hard to make, we can say k-movies are still lacking not like Korean dramas because a lot of them still are not good.
Space Sweeper, A Good Sci-fi Epic With Spectacular World-building
I wouldn't say it's on the same level as Hollywood, but it is a really good movie with good production, k- movies need to keep this level and go beyond to make such an enjoyable one.
great effects, the story is good for Sci-fi, and it was fun to watch
Sci-fi like fantasy is hard to make and get people to love( i love those genres from all).
if you don't like Sci-fi you can't force yourself to watch it, but if you with an open mind it's recommended.
so far for is the best k- movie I ever watch, the cast is good and with great acting, we can see here different nationalities
which is cool. (SJK has done an amazing job) , there was some pretty good humor.

LAHVVV
omg I love this movie a lotttt. I came here for the CG and editing, and I'm not disappointed. I'm actually impressed, it was really great. The storyline was interesting, somehow predictable but I still enjoyed it. The kid was superrrr cuteeee with everyone. I love their characters and the casts did amazing job in acting it out. There were many emotional scenes, and I think I cried a little bit too much. It was heartwarming at some point, thrilling at the others, funny at times which definitely a fun ride for me. The only con would be it's predictable and rather common as lots of western movies have this kind of storyline. Yet, I love it. Do watch this guys!!Was this review helpful to you?
LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT TO TEARS TT
This is my second Song Joong Ki movie and I sure was not disappointed. I was waiting for this one for a long time and I loved every bit of it. I cried a lot, yes, but I loved it. It sure was predictable, and the storyline was pretty straightforward but the action and sci-fi elements were too good. Most importantly, a difficult or rich storyline is not always a must to make a movie watchable or good, on the contrary, this movie proved to me that simple and fun is best. I may be a bit biased here cos I love anything space, sci-fi and post-apocalyptic related but this was such a sweet watch. I loved how there were so many languages and so many actors from different countries, it felt like such an international and inclusive movie, which I did not expect. The actors and their characters were really good too: imperfectly human, (plus a robot and a supernatural kiddo hehe), trying to survive in a dying world but still, they were strong and had pure hearts.South Korea now definitely has to make more sci-fi and space movies!!
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!

Nothing new, nothing bold
This movie didn't do anything original. The culture seems directly ripped off of The Expanse, American sci fi show based in the future where people who grow up in space are seen as the lowest class, people on earth suffer, except for the elite in their paradise. Except this movie doesn't bring any of it's political complexity and scientific mystery. And then the group chemistry seems ripped from Cowboy Bebop. Except this movie doesn't bring any of it's incredible background histories and groundbreaking music. The music was unnoticeable. The characters were forgettable.
But the worst was the story. What even was the story? What was UTS objective? What was wrong with the CEO of UTS? Even the cure that the child got was *hand waves* nobody knows why but she suddenly has MaGiC PoWeRs ooooh~~ and then the final "gotcha" save of the crew, makes no sense in context as the director of UTS wanted to use that reactor to blow up the child because it destroys the nanobots... but she used the nanobots to protect the crew from the explosion?? Bwuuuh?
The produection value was nice, but that's about it. it's flashy, colorful , and completely empty.

really good
I have been waiting for about a month to watch this. When it was announced that it would be coming to Netflix, I was excited as the cast seemed top-notch and I just love stories that take place in space. My expectations were lived up to. It's a fantastic movie and the CG is so amazing. I was so immersed into how good everything looked and how fantastic the movie was visually.
The plot went a little flat and it was definitely a predictable movie. However, this is a movie that I would definitely watch with my family. My sisters are all teenagers, and I think they'd really like it. It's not a movie where you have to look deep for the message or have to spend hours analyzing. It's a fun, wholesome movie that you can enjoy light-heartedly with your family.
Regarding the flat storyline, it was just as it had looked from the beginning. There were no plot-twists except maybe the one regarding the "terrorist" group. The good guys win of course and save the day.
I was fairly uncomfortable with Tiger Park's hair. It's dreads that were influenced by "reggae." With all the foreign cast and foreign aspects of the film, you would have thought that they'd have enough sense to not use any hairstyles that were CA, but alas! He was also a former drug dealer, so... yeah. :/
I loved the character's chemistry. They all got along well (in the moments that mattered) and seeing them tiki-taka was also really fun.
Like I said before, this isn't a movie to think hard about, so if you want a fun, action watch. Watch this one!! Very heartwarming and wholesome, but also has cool spaceship action moments.

Definitely worth watching
A small bit of a disclaimer: I am not someone who watches a lot of movies and if you narrow down the list of the movies I have watched to the ones that fall in the sci-fi genre you would hardly find any, so needless to say I am not the best person to write a review but I couldn’t help myself!I absolutely loved it and didn’t mind the length at all ( if it was up-to me I would want to make it even longer, lol! just to have more scenes of the members of the Victory spaceship and that child! I would be lying if I say that I didn’t find those scenes very cute and wholesome). Given that I haven’t really watched any western sci-fi movies the plot wasn’t what I was expecting; I hadn’t prepared myself for the emotional aspect of the movie but I am not complaining. It was an emotional ride with just the right amount of thriller and comedic scenes at the right time, and thankfully they didn’t just show Koreans in the space! Also, I loved Song Joongki’s acting ( I may be biased here as I have been awaiting his return to the screen for a very long time) but those emotional scenes were executed well (and I guess there wasn’t any scene that required phenomenal / extraordinary facial expressions or sth so I cannot really praise( which I just did!) or criticise his acting skills)
Just go and watch it , you will surely not regret it until and unless you are one of those real movie critics!

I was not let down.
I was expecting the best for this movie and ended up getting the best, I am so proud of the actors and how much they ate this movie up. I absolutely love it and will rewatch it again soon, before my space drama era ends. One thing I will never stop talking about from this movie was Jang Hyun Sook (Kim Tae Ri), she is so badass and I just couldn't stop going crazy over her the entire time, Kim Tae Ri is by far one of my favourite actors and should be yours too. I think my favourite part of this movie was when Kim Tae ho (Song Joong Ki) was able to meet Suni (Oh Ji Yul), I cried buckets at that part. Suni deserved better, I really wished she wasn't outside at that time. However, I feel like it was understandable and it really helped Kim Taeho develop his character. Space Sweepers will always have a place in my heart from now on, I'm so happy with the ending and don't even get me started with Bubs, she is SO beautiful. That's all for my review, please watch Space Sweepers, ASAP.Was this review helpful to you?
Roller coaster of emotions and adrenaline
I literally laughed and cried. This movie is so freaking good. I wish I could watch it in the theatre. A couple of the English actors maybe could have been better, but none of them were roll your eyes bad. I'm exhausted from the wild ride. Highly recommend. If you are a fan of Firefly and more accurately it's finale film Serenity, this is a movie for you. Similar vibe and somewhat similar concept, but telling its own story in a unique way.I don't know what else to say but apparently haven't hit 500 characters yet

Beautifully shot but the story is thin
Clearly a lot of money was spent here and spent well. Good performances from the cast but I wish they would have given Richard Armitage something more to do instead of making him a cartoon villain. There's no explanation for his "transformations". But I liked that it felt like a world film with various nationalities, they even had an actor speak in pidgin, I wonder how they wrote this because that was a nice authentic touch. Just wish it could have extended to the plot. This tried to be fun, emotional and epic all at the same time but it lacked the punch. Was this review helpful to you?

I was really looking forward to this movie and it did not disappoint me, but there are still some thing that felt just mediocre. As someone, who has been raised around sci-fi (I had no idea that Star Trek is not real and being and Starfleet officer not a possible career option for me until I was like seven) I love this genre with a passion and this movie has some of the best elements of it, so it deserves a high praise. The visual effects were so good that it me really sorry that I was not able to see it in a cinema right now.
The first half of the movie is very rapid and the characters are introduced in a very interesting way, which makes you root for them since the beginning. I liked how Space Sweepers takes place in a wide universe made of people from different backgrounds and I especially liked how they were able to incorporate a translation system in which everyone was able to speak their own language and understand each other. I also liked the main antagonist - Richard Armitage's performance is superb, he is so evil that I did not even recognise him at first.
The movie keeps a high tempo packed with action, however I did find the latter part weirdly inconsistent and I felt the length of it. It also featured some cliche elements of the sci-fi genre which I found a bit cringey. On the other hand, the movie succeeded in creating a sense of community in the universe which I found very endearing and it was wrapped up nicely.
The performances of the main cast are pretty much flawless. I was pleasantly surprised by Park Ye Rin's performance, since child actors in sci-fi can be often annoying, but she was actually the highlight of the movie. Visually, it really was a feast and even the sets were high quality and appeared properly run down. The OST was very fitting, it gave you the appropriate feels.
Space Sweepers is without a doubt a good representation of its genre and even though it features some mediocre parts, it was still very refreshing and very welcome distraction in these dark times. Give it a go.
