First 20-25 minutes into the movie and you realize that this is inspired from A Walk to Remember-spoilt brat guy meets charming, innocent terminally ill young girl, falls in love and how this love changes him into a better human being. Even some of the scenes and sequences are inspired from the Mandy Moore-Shane West starrer. But despite all that this movie has its own unique elements, some Asian melodrama and emotions that you won't find in the movies of the west. Great acting by Lee Yeon Hee and Hyun Bin.

One word, tissues. Be prepared to ball out. Tears were just coming out without me wanting.the acting was ok the emotions portrayed were great. Hyun bin has been my favorite since secret garden. Its startsa out he's some arrogant boywhos a brat coz he's a rich kid and has to go to the country side in order to inherit his grandpas fortune but he meets this girl that changes his world. The story was great but the general acting was so so. They did a great job when they were emotional. I cried a lot I wanted to quit

The plot is typical, a rich, spoiled brat of a guy who changes once he meets a girl who is poor and at some other disadvantage. The portrayal of this typical plot however, was definitely quite the opposite. The actors brought a lot of emotion to their roles, and their characters were very believable. The chemistry of the leads was amazing.

The side stories however, didn't really develop much and they left the viewer at a bit of a loss, but if you are looking for a good cry, definitely watch this beautiful, but tragic story.

The story is sad but has a good feel to it. She teaches him how to love and he loves her for it. I like that you how it is going to end so you are prepared. The acting was really well done also. They gave a pretty raw emotional performance. The extras were good too. The music was very pretty. I wouldn't rewatch it because it is too sad.

This movie was awesome!!! To begin with the movie made me cry, feel happy, and just love it. The only movies I like to rewatch are the action and comedy movies so will I rewatch this movie, most likely not but that does not mean it was not good or worth rewatching thats just me that is why I gave it a 1 in rewatch value. I recommended this movie to all my friends after I finished and they also gave posotive comments about it. With the great story and great actors along with it how could this not be an awesome movie to see.

Although this movie has a sad element to it, don't let it pull you away from watching it. If you're like me and a cry baby - - you'll cry. You'll almost instantly guess what's going to happen - - In your head, but in your heart you're hoping for the latter to be happy. Even though it's pretty predictable, definitely not original - it's beautifully executed. The reason that this is so good is partially due to the great writing/timing, but the amazing cast. The OST is wonderful & just adds on to how much I love this movie.

This is not the first time that I have come across a story in which a guy and a girl fall in love and the girl has some kind of disease. 'A Millionaire's First Love' has traits of a typical tragedy- the leads- one is rich and spoilt and takes things for granted, the other is poor and lives, coping with the severe hardships of life. At one glance this movie is a cliché. Once you read the synopsis somewhere, the movie will start playing before you and you can easily predict the ending. The same applies to me. However, since I am a fan of tragedies and like to torture my eyes by bawling them out, I watched it. This was one reason. Another reason was the movie's popularity. I have heard a lot in its praise.

I liked the cast. The two leads did brilliant acting, especially Hyun Bin as Kang Jae Jyung. Lee Yeon Hee as Choi Eun Whan was perfect. This was my first time seeing her on screen and I was impressed. 'The Snow Queen' is a Korean drama with a similar story starring Hyun Bin but his character in it is completely the opposite of what it is in this movie. The music is pretty good and it fit into the scenes well. The only thing that bugged me was that the male lead realized his feelings for the female lead too quick. There was hardly any interaction between the two and the next moment, they were in love! It felt as if the director just wanted to make the two fall in love but didn't give a thought to show HOW. So yeah, it was kind of a turn-off from the point of a romantic stuff watcher. But the positive side is that the two leads were successful in touching my heart. I could relate myself to them and feel sympathy. At the end, I couldn't help but cry. As I said earlier, the ending is pretty predictable once you read the synopsis or watch the first half of the movie but still I couldn't help but feel the pain as if it was not how expected it to end.

As for the rewatch value, I don't think I'll watch it again for now but perhaps after a long time when I would feel like watching something sad.

To sum everything up, I would say that this movie is for you if you like tragic love stories (and if you are another Hyun Bin fan!)

I was utterly unprepared for what this movie turned out to be. Somehow I completely missed the words melodrama and tragedy in the description. I was just quickly browsing for a movie to watch while I updated some things on my blog and the description sounded adorable. Snarky and entitled chaebol discovers himself in a tiny little town and falls in love. It turned out to be so much more than that. I avoid anything sad and heartbreaking like the plague, I’m a happy ending girl all the way. But it was too late when I realized the sadness I had signed myself up for. By that time I was utterly invested in the story and couldn’t turn away. Now here I am a blubbering mess of tears, a think that I do my best to avoid when picking out dramas and movies. Despite all of that I loved this movie. The story was phenomenal, the acting was good, and the love was beautiful. If you are up for a good cry I definitely recommend this one.

It will make you cry...

This movie was released in 2006 so I was expecting some cliché scenes. The plot is a bit typical of the romantce movies produced at the time. But I liked it.

This movie was really good. There were some funny scenes, but it's definitely a tearjerker too. It made me feel so much emotions and cry a lot.

I liked the friendship between classmates. They were so kind and funny.

Actors did a really good job. It was so easy to feel their emotions.

My favourite scene is the one when Eun Hwan and Jae Kyung were blowing the dandelions out. In some ways, it was really comforting. Of course, it was also sad because of Eun Hwan's wish.

I recommend watching it when you want to cry your eyes out.

First korean movie I watched and it all started because of the OST. I knew Jaejoong (my favourite DBSK member, and the first korean celebrity I got to know) sang 'Insa' and I saw it was the OST for this movie so I went and watched it.

Even though the cast is very good (for God's sake it's Hyun Bin and how much better can it get?) I didn't liked the plot very much and thought of it as a bit cliché.
As I watched the movie I felt it could be a drama and not a movie since I always had the feeling they were rushing the story to get to the end (all this hurry killed the movie for me).

Jaejoong's and DBSK's singing was the best though.

I know my opinion might not be very popular since everyone seems to love this movie, and the love story in it but it was what I felt back then (it's been 6 years since I watched it).

I will leave this review as a warning for anyone who wants to watch this movie... I lost count of how many times I had to pause the movie because of how hard I was crying, in fact, it was so bad that the Face ID on my phone didn't even work... I probably cried for more than half of it and it's been about 20 or 30 minutes since the movie ended and I've been starring at the wall and crying until now.

The plot is a pretty typical one, I've seen it quite a few times but still, this movie got me in a way that I was NOT expecting. It's the first time I'm seeing something with the FL and I quite enjoyed her acting, and the ML, Hyun Bin, was amazing like he always is!
