Bite Sized Saga

An excellent drama roller coaster ride. From the white truck of death/doom to the ear bleeding screams of angry women throwing tantrums, this show has a lot going for it. It's a murder mystery and chaebol family drama rolled into a 15 one hour episode mini-saga with a two finale episode.

The main characters are solid and well played. The character development is well told. Most of the main and supporting cast play their characters well enough to be relatable or create feelings about them and their situations. There's a fair amount of laughing at, crying with and getting mad for them throughout the show. The cast is also mostly attractive or otherwise fitting their character.

The music is pretty good, depending on your tastes, but the BGM fits each scene well. It's a great OST. I like the makeup and costumes also. The costume styles are very particular to the characters, right down to the nail polish or handkerchief. The sets are beautiful and fitting for each character and scene. The lighting and set designs cater to each character even.

The "who done it?" part of the story kept me guessing after every other episode. After the first few episodes, you think you know what's going on, but you change your mind at least twice by the big reveal episodes. I like how they wrap up the character storylines during the end credits also. Good or bad, every major character gets an ending of some kind.

This is one of the few good dramas released this year. i really enjoyed watching it and the acting was badass. i was grateful to the directors for giving us a strong female lead and prayed she didnt become a weakling as the drama progressed and they didnt disappoint. we need more strong female characters! i find it interesting that there is no comedy tag because there is a lot of humour in this drama (picasso funeral will be in all all time dope scenes). the male lead is such a good guy and the role was perfect for him. i will look out for his other dramas. ms han wow, she was evil but i couldnt hate her because she was badass and knew her stuff. there is one thing i didnt understand though, her fondness to the male lead. he was obviously a walking time bomb to them because of his relationship with the female lead and his kind hearted values so i dont really understand why she let him work at top.i loved all of the plot twist except wan soo. his story made me cry and i feel like it should have been everyone but him. this drama has a lot of similarities with the k2 and sky castle. i highly recommend it.

.

The premise of this "top" team is absurd and to make this story a functional and coherent one with such a premise would be a monumental task which this drama obviously failed to achieve and ended up being trashy. There's a lot of mystery going on but this one was the bad kind of mystery, not really a proper mystery anyway. Everyone slipping all the time, the culprits were kinda obvious, and the revelations were lame. Everything was over explained as if the viewers were toddlers. The flashiness and pazaz can be easily classified as cringe. Speaking of which, Lee Jang Woo throughout his entire acting career seems to be a very reliable cringe magnet, so no surprise here.

Are you ready to meet the Delulu (Delusional) Family?

After a long time, I finally decided to watch this series. I was convinced after watching a couple of clips and when I went in I got so excited. I was too determined that I even used my sick leave thinking I could finish it in a day. That's how fascinated I am with this rich/chaebol drama. Unfortunately, the fun started fading midway as it felt too stretchy. Small wins then big blows which is not that bad, it's just not as exciting for me. I finished the series just for the sake that I want to see how things ended.

Acting-wise, I feel like Im SooHyang carried most of the series together with Bae JongOk. They're both powerful actresses that made their characters come to life which is the main reason as well that I kept going.

I personally don't know someone as rich as the same level as this family but the whole drama going on is so fascinating that I'm actually relieved I'm not as rich as them. There's a lot of twists here and there making it interesting but I kind of feel sad how the ending was rushed.

I'd still recommend this if you're into crazy rich dramas/scenarios or if you want to see rich people fight each other with class but might not be everyone's cup of tea.

Two Words: Loved It

Just finished this drama and wow. I loved every minute of this 16 episode ride. Although it was peppered here and there with a few over the top moments, I can't say I didn't enjoy it. I was fully engaged from beginning to end.

The story was interesting, filled with humor, mystery, and a small (but sweet) touch of romance. As with any well-written K-drama, there were just enough plot twists and big reveals to keep me on my toes and surprised throughout the story's development. Some revelations I guessed ahead of time, while others I thought I knew, but wasn't 100% sure until the very end, and some just caught me completely off guard! The characters, while stereotypical in some regards, were nonetheless dynamic and fleshed-out. They each fit into the story exceptionally well and moved it along in just the right way.

The acting was of course top-notch. I loved Im Soo Hyang's portrayal as a strong (yet not emotionally sterile), sarcastic, bad-ass female lead, and Lee Jang Woo was the cutest teddy bear counterpart , determined and ever the advocate for justice. Their dynamic was great. Among the supporting cast, the standout for me was Lee Kyu Han, portraying Mo Won Soo, the black sheep whom you couldn't help but love and empathize with. He stole every single scene he was in.

The OST...loved it. Fierce voice, fierce lyrics. It hyped me up and set the tone nicely.

Overall, if you love a good revenge/mystery/thriller drama that focuses more on family dynamics rather than law and police procedure, definitely check this one out (heck, check it out even if you do like procedural dramas!). I went in interested but without any expectations, and left feeling blown away.

Chaebol Madness.

Graceful family revolves around the lives of a family and their journey of uncovering secrets from their past on bad relationships, affairs, and murder. With Im Soo Hyang as Mo Suk Hee, who plays the only daughter of the family, Heo Yoon Doo, a man who is affected by the lies and shortcomings of their family and Ms. Han, who risks it all in the name of their company.

First, to Im Soo Hyang, a bad bitch who made this character ever so entertaining, I believe she is the highlight of this whole drama, her role was so much fun to watch a very strong female lead if I do say so myself. This drama is very standard in terms of performances, the storyline, and the perspective of the director. I loved the performances especially from both Im Soo Hyang and Bae Jong Ok who killed their roles I loved and hated them to the extreme. The OST made up of mostly scores was dramatic enough to fill the atmosphere of the drama, they absolutely killed it with every score choice for each scene, and the diversity of characters in the drama was subtle but still alive. I loved the internal conflict of each character but I would have loved to see more character in-depth on Ms. Han, the things that kind of pushed her to her decisions. She kind of felt like the cold character who just didn't care about anybody without reason.

Overall, it was very fun, the supporting roles were great too. I had a lot of fun watching this piece. The story is predictable in some aspects but there are enough plot twists to keep it fun, and apart from the rich family drama vibes there's also a bit of law involved to add to the genre. The basic lessons too about humanity and compassion, empathy were not missed it really showed what things different people value in life as a good piece should. Don't expect too much but its definitely worth the fun. WATCH IT!!

The plot is largely intense and suspenseful - full of plot twists and plotting / counter-plotting between the protagonists and antagonists. Each character is driven by their own sets of motivation, which makes them relatable, even though we might not agree with many of them. Each character plays important roles in the development of the drama.

However, my biggest gripe with this drama is with the ending. Even though the final episode is close to 2hours long, and the main story arc, of finding the true killer - is resolved, there are many other unresolved points (even though minor). For example, it is unclear how Mo Seok-Hee managed to maintain control of MC Group after everyone went to prison. After all, based on inheritance, her own shares are only slightly above 20% - and the total shares of her other family members would total to much more than 20%. After they are released from prison, Seok-Hee's position in MC Group is precarious. The other members could team-up and go against her with their combined shares.

It is also unclear if the "father" (Mo Chul-Hee) woke up from his coma. If so, did the "father" finally accept Seok-Hee into the family? Or does he still treat her with contempt. It is also unclear what the "father" would do with his own shares in MC Group.

What happened after 2 years when the stepmother and half-brother are released from prison? After all, before being arrested, the stepmother swore that she would never forgive Seok-Hee and that she would not be defeated so easily. Do they take revenge against Seok-Hee? Also, do they still stay in the family mansion? What is the relationship like between Seok-Hee and the stepmother and half-brother?

Man, what a plot twist! I honestly feel this TV show is decent, but it gets a bit better as it keeps me watching more. While I think writers needs to improve on the script, I’m still satisfied with the interesting plot and ending. I hope it leaves the story open to the second season because I want to know why these four people who are very loyal to Director Han. The romance moments will be there in few episodes later even though it didn’t have time to develop as it focuses on plot. Kudos to the cast and crew!

I enjoy listening to OP, ED, and music. I like some suspense music during certain scenes. Black Diamond is good.

Im Soo Hyang’s character, Mo Seko Hee, is badass, beautiful, and smart woman. I love her personality and I like how she shows her bravery. I am thankful for director/writers deciding to have brave female lead all the way until the end. Now, I finished My ID is Gangnam Beauty and Graceful Family, I will go ahead to say that Im Soo Hyang is great actress. I look forward to watching her for new TV show. Lee Hang Woo is doing well at his acting as Heo Yoon Do. I am very impressed with Bae Jong Ok (Han Je Kook) and Lee Kyu Han (Mo Wan Soo). Han Je Kook is the best antagonist ever I’d seen so far. She is very intelligent and cunning, and she is very calm as she solves difficult problems. I won’t spoil, but I understand why she has to be like that. Mo Wan Soo is very hilarious and I like how he has funny facial expressions. Mo Seko Hee's dysfunctional family is amusing.

Overall, this is very enjoyable and entertaining. If you want drama with few romance moments and many plot twists, I recommend Graceful Family.

This is a very nice and well written crime corporate drama with a great cast. All the actors did a good job bringing their characters to life; the leading couple has very good chemistry although they fell short on their romantic scenes (although it is not a romance drama, it could’ve been better). The story is strong and there are some interesting twist thrown throughout the drama. Accolades to the older and more experience cast that carried on the drama making it suspenseful, interesting, irritating, and very emotionally driven. There is an excellent heartfelt scene from Park Sang Myun (Heo Jang Su-Yoon Do's father) on episode 12. Also, Lee Kyu Han was excellent on his portrayal of the multifaceted and enigmatic character Mo Wan Soo. The drama is entertaining, enjoy it! ***Watch the last episode all the way to its ending!!!

Starting from the story line it is very interesting with the whole plot buildup but somewhere in the middle it feels like you are lost. There is mention of technical analysis but its so vague that watcher has to put the head into it a lot. Characters are well thought out and every aspect of the characteristics are highlighted well. Some of you might be able to predict a lot of things pretty on but there are a lot of plot twists that will either shock you or be a "knew it " moment.

This drama is must watch because along with the plot twist, drama & annoying characters it dwells in very sensitive topic of mental health & LGBTQ+ issues. The drama gives us an idea of how mental health is a very important thing.

It is not something I would revisit as it more of a one time wonder.

The actors all have played their characters really well and there is no say on that. You will hate, sympathies & love characters due to their acting.

Thank you for reading. Enjoy

Not bad but could have been better

Drama clips posted on the web is very common, you see them on all platforms from Facebook, Instagram to youtube. be it less than a minute to a compilation of highlights.
I first saw a clip of this drama on Facebook, it was the scene where she fought with someone during a dress fitting and they paid those who saw it to shut their mouth. and just like that, BAM! Episode 1 here I come!

Story (8/10)
Had a lot of expectations for this drama, it was funny. definitely had me laughing. there were a lot of dramas that showcased rich people, rich kids, and their over-the-top spoiled bratty personalities. but this is probably the first time that I have seen the behind the scene like this one. Rich people definitely has a unique way of solving their own S*. The storyline definitely had potential to be an amazing and epic drama but I guessed the writers were holding back adn wanted a completely different perspective, there were conflicting things on the story.
If you compare it with other dramas with big budgets from big stations then it definitely lacks that bang! for an outrageous concept but oh well..

Finest melodrama out in Korean wave

Graceful Family is phenomenal to watch. The plot is gripping and make you more curious to watch till end. The direction of the show is also good and pointed in a single direction with no fillers to watch only a wholesome drama.

If you like succesion fight or who will become CEO of the congolomerate with family lies and backstabbing. A system where money and power speaks for an individual then you should watch this.

This is typical family drama with very good character build up and fabulous backstrories.

The cast is just too good to watch. Neverthless the ending might took you to a surprise but somehow you will accept it as a best possible outcome you can get.

Don't hope any thing from the characters just watch through this and you will find that every character holds a very strong reason to keep fighting.

~ The drama follows very sharp twists. And you can't predict it. So you will enjoy it for sure.

In fact it is my first melodrama which i have finished in one go.

OST is also good.
'Black Diamond' and 'I am on Fire'
