Wow 22 weeks has gone by and I still cant believe it took that long to finish this drama…

Story: Unpredictable like you won’t believe. Sure there’s cliché situations that may turn people off but dramas in general are a cliché. As long as you accept the things that happen then you will be able to enjoy it. My favorite thing about the story was the laughs. There were a ton of funny scenes and it was cool how they were sometimes used to offset the more dramatic scenes. One major thing I wish the writers focused more on was the lovelines. I’m all for switching lovelines but there has to be a point after halfway but well before the ending where the love lines are clear so the viewer can connect and understand why that happened. What I'm getting at is by the end you still have no idea who ends up with who until the last 5 minutes, which I felt made the ending feel rushed and sort of a letdown in a way. Don’t get me wrong, I am very happy with the way things turned out, its just the HOW I would have liked to seen. The story also could have benefited with a shorter episode count to make it less frustrating.

Acting/Cast: I had no idea who any of the actors were at first. But I was pleasantly surprised that the 4 main leads could actually act! Not only that, the 4 main leads all had chemistry, which made the switching of the loveliness very believable. I did think the two female actresses were stronger actingwise than the men. The supporting cast was a bit weaker and a lot of overacting (to be expected in T dramas) but I came to appreciate their characters.

Music: So another surprise is the fact I liked the OST. I just found it fit perfectly for this series and they played a lot of the same songs so they became memorable that I wanted to download it to my ipod.

Rewatch: I would like to watch this again for all the funny scenes and when I want to come back to these characters, but not for a few years just because it really does feel like a long drama.

Overall, you can really tell Love Forward tried to separate itself from other romcoms but there was plenty that could have been done better. Still, I found it one of the more enjoyable Taiwanese watches.

This is one of the most in-depth slightly cheesy romance dramas I have seen, and I have to admit that I am loving it. If you are just looking for the normal elements of drama (hot men, cheesy romance, undying love, fights, jealousy, love triangles and squares), this has is all. It just presents it in a way that for once is not entirely brainless or cliche.
The characters at first come across as superficial, and perhaps unappealing in their stupidity at times. But by the end of the second episode, they have significantly developed. This story embodies that tactic that Asian dramas do so well--just when you think you abhor a character you find out that they had good reasons for being so annoying and your whole outlook changes. There are no truly good or bad people, just normal, everyday characters learning to live with the very real problems in life.
Ultimately this is a story about what makes healthy love and relationships. The best friends who have little in common but undying devotion to one another. Those people who relate to one another because they love the same things. The enemies that you just love to fight with, and who ultimately you are far closer to than you ever expected. The love of parents, as it should be and as it shouldn't be. The boyfriend and girlfriend who love like teenage girls dream of but who find that this type of love is too Romeo/Julietesque for their own good. It deals with destructive love and destructive relationships. This is a look at humanity and how they interact, and the writers have done a fabulous job at making their characters multifaceted. I highly recommend this show because of its unique approach to these much loved themes.

This drama was WILD! And all over the place! The middle is a disaster of epic proportions. The side characters sometimes have more charm than the leads (can we say, major props for Ling Li??). And yet.. Ai Xing is still loveable, Tian Ze is pitiable, Jing Jing is redeemable, and when Ren Wei splashes that smile all over the screen, you just want to melt. Unfortunately, the foursome just barely manages to drag this drama through to the end. It's ultimately a good, if fairly chaotic ride.

Story: I found the story to be interesting and I liked the relationships between the four main characters. The funny scenes were really good, as well as the more serious ones. I did like the loveline switch, but I thought the process to get there took too long. It dragged on way too much and then the end was rushed a lot. I liked the ending, but I just felt like if it didn't drag on in the earlier episodes and was written better, I could've been much more satisfied. I still liked it though.

Acting/Cast: I love all the actors and actresses here. Especially the four main actors/actresses had a lot of chemistry with each other, they were all very believable. It'd be cool to see them together in another drama (with a less draggy storyline). Even the actors/actresses in the supporting roles were acted out well. I think that's what made the drama enjoyable, despite my complaints about the storyline.

Music: Beautiful. All of the music in the soundtrack fit very well, and were used well. I'm a person who really enjoys the soundtrack of a drama, and even when looking up the lyrics behind the music of Love Forward, I think it's beautiful.

Rewatch Value: I think it's rewatch value is good, based on the fact that the acting was well done. Not my number one drama, but still enjoyable enough to rewatch every now and then.

Overall: I basically enjoyed most things about this drama except for the draggy storyline, then rushed ending. I would recommend it on the fact that the acting's good, despite my storyline complaints.

just completed and marathon till 5am
and might i say it was worth the watch (don't throw your fist at your screen, its just a story)

story: interesting story of love vs. money, I valued the growth of the minor characters and the main leads, the writers did an aWESOME job of creating awesome relationships so 7/10

acting: as I am new to the world of T-drama's It took me a while to adjust to the style of acting and language and body talk, but in the end the characters had grown on me

music: new language so t-music doesn't have a strong impact on me yet so this was just good because it didn't over shadow the story, or try to hard to manipulate my emotions, so not bad, plus the intro song is catchy

rewatch: I'm not a rewatch type f person, so no i wouldn't maybe except the last ep,

overall: not bad, got a bit slow in the middle, so i skipped, but that affected the story for me, my advice, watch it, don't be afraid to take breaks and come back to it, its soo bad for you...but in the end its w=sooo worth it....i just love/hate the ending...watch to find out why ....
warning, keep any throwable objects out of arm length.

I just binged this entire series. I absolutely loved it. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire drama and highly recommend it. This was one of the few times that I literally talked to the drama the whole time. I gasped in shock, I laughed, I cried...I yelled. I was a living reaction video.

The story wasn't original, it's a theme we've seen a million times before, but it's a theme that gets us every time. The characters were complex and slid back and forth between good and evil throughout. The writers came up with characters that you could both hate and feel deep sympathy for.

The casting was interesting for me, since I've never seen any of the actors before with the exception of Chen Bo Zheng. Oh, and Shen Meng Sheng, who cameo'd towards the end of the series. The actors were fresh for me, and I think they did a wonderful job. Tammy Chen was adorkably sweet, and you quickly found yourself wishing she was your best friend. Tony Yang was a complex character who kept you guessing most of the time. Weber Yang did a great performance, making you hate him very quickly.

The music was appropriate for the scenes. There were some really lovely songs in there.
I am likely to rewatch this drama, since it was so special to me.

Overall, I rated it a 9, and highly recommend it. Watch this drama if you love evil characters. If you love deep friendships. If you love a heroine who perpetually sacrifices her own happiness for everyone else's. If you love to cry with your leads, and if you don't care if people see you talking to the screen.
