This movie can be really harsh at times. Meaning it's not for the weakhearted. I loved this movie. It was exciting from beginning to end and left me sitting on the edge of my chair. The acting was great. Kang Dong Won is a really good actor, and I loved how they used foreigners (who spoke fluent Korean, yay!).
I would definitely recommend this movie. Unless you are weak of heart of course ;)

Neways, back to the movie! I don't think that ne1 could say this is not a good movie (but there r some dumb-asses our there). This movie is full of excitement but not in a physical fighting kind of way. It is more suspenseful in that u don't know what the "bad guy" (Kang Dong Won as Cho-In)is going to do next. It kept me on edge the whole time.
If ur reading this review I recommend that u watch this movie & see what it is about. ENJOY!~)

The tone of the movie is generally quite gritty. Some scenes that take place in the dark were, literally, so dark that I had to turn up the brightness on my laptop to the maximum. Frustrating, but not a major problem. I also really like the featuring of foreign blue-collar labourers speaking fluent Korean alongside Go Soo, something we never see in typical Korean dramas and movies.
Kang Dong Won's performance as a soft-spoken hobo-looking man with Professor X-esque abilities of mind control is positively terrifying, powerful enough to command an entire army of humans turned zombies (essentially that's how they behave even though they are still humans). It's my first time watching KDW so I will now check out other projects of his. It's a pity he is no longer interested in working on TV dramas. The funny thing is how 'uglified' the two leads are made to look when they're hotties in real life.
BUT, I didn't exactly understand the ending. Not sure if I'm stupid for not understanding it.
Kids, use your powers wisely!

I really liked the story, it was to me quite unique and the special effects where good too! I didn't had any expectations but I really started to like this movie.
As this movie was coming to his end I was really dissapointed. The ending was so rough, not believable, unrealistic and I have some questions who remain unanswered. I hate it when a movie ends like that.
This movie had potential but they didn't do anything with it, too bad.

The other main lead Im Gyoo Nam (played by Go Soo) had a loving sister and a much happier life - so, even though he was also 'gifted', his attitude was far warmer and more positive than Cho in's. I know many abuse victims grow into wonderful adults and manage to come to terms with their past; but not everyone is able to do that and it seems that this movie showed both sides of the coin - those who do grow into good adults because, even though poor, they have love and support around them and those who grow up with abuse and brutality as their daily companion which feeds their need for revenge.....
For me, as usual, Kang Dong Won completely stole the movie; his bad guys roles always have layers - they're never JUST thugs, murderers, assassins, etc and so you tend to find yourself crying for them, sympathising with them or even begging them not to do what they're about to - that they CAN change. THAT is a sign of a good actor, when he can even get the viewer to care about someone who is basically the 'bad guy' and we should be utterly against....
The movie itself was good overall; the acting and the casting was excellent. The music wasn't great, but as I've watched this twice now I would say it has pretty good re-watch value.

Why is he like that? How can he control people? Why he can't control just one person (and there's that cute little baby)? They should been explained things. The idea is hanging in the air. So many things left without answers.
The effects was good. Casting was great. It wasn't the usual korean movie characters; a Turkish, a Ghanaian and a Korean! I don't know about Gana culture but they described the turkish guy/culture in a right way.
I think the director tried really hard this movie to make it look good but because the storyline was missing a lot of important points, this happened. You can watch it and like it. But you really think that it's waste of good idea.
