Ikiteru Dake De Nankurunaisa (2011)

25-year-old Iwamine Eisaku lives freely without any worry about the future. One day, he is diagnosed with a rare malignant tumour that afflicts one in a hundred thousand. The cancer treatment is unbearably painful and the agonising fear of death makes Eisaku give himself up to despair. What saved him was the love of his girlfriend, Mika, who continued to stand by him, as well as the support of his mother, grandmother, friends and the people around him. Eisaku confronts his illness and has a successful operation to remove the tumour. He realises the preciousness of being able to live normally again. However, the illness does not let Eisaku off.
