This drama is quite realistic, it's doesn't go with the romantic happy go lucky kind of kdrama direction. They also explained why Jojo broke up with Sunho but not sure why many are still clueless on this part. Jojo and Sunho are first love, one with passion and lacking maturity plus, Jojo couldn't overcome her trauma and personal issue and decided to run away from Sunho for fear of hurting herself if bad things happen to him or their relationship. 4 years past and it seems like Jojo still have feelings for Sunho but in reality, those are just memories that she clings onto. It is missing a strong foundation to begin with as compared to Hyeong which changed Jojo bit by bit and eventually touched her heart. As you mature, what you want for love tends to change and Hyeong and Jojo's love is built with a foundation that many didn't notice, if you think about the little things he did, it matters and it build Jojo's confidence as a person. However, I think S1 has better pace than S2. Still, it's an enjoyable drama.

Look somewhere else if you want fluffy romance
I was lucky enough to have binge watch this, instead of waiting for so long waiting to get the happy ending we didn't get in season 1.This drama is definitely not for someone looking for a happy ending you expected, but there is a happy ending.
Just like in real life, you fall in love and for one reason or another you break up, and later in life fall in love again. You don't always end up with your childhood or highschool sweet heart. You may not even end up with someone you fall head over heels for. You may end up like JoJo (and Sun Oh too), finding someone that love you and support you unconditionally and you learn to love and appreciate them eventually. Criticize all you want, but love is not always about a happy ending you want, sometime it's a happy ending you need. And learn to be happy with your choice in life.
For me, Jojo learned to really love Hye Yeong proven by her effort to remove the shield, to give him the assurance he needed through the app. That's one thing I dislike from this whole theme, how people put their trust on technology to find out if someone truly love you.

Not as good as Season 1
Likes1. I really wanted Jojo to be with Sunoh in s1 but after watching S2 eps 1-4, i felt relieved that Jojo chose Hyeyoung and Sunoh had the closure he wanted.
2. I think Jojo made the right choice to choose Hyeyoung. They are both boring and simple and they worked well as a couple. I felt like that Sunoh was made to look pathetic, stalking Jojo like Hyeyoung did in s1. And i felt it was unfair that Jojo never gave him the same chance she gave Hyeyoung.
3. Felt bad for Yukjo but i think Sunoh will love her eventually, the same way Jojo slowly fell in love woth Hyeyoung throough his consistent efforts.
4. I actually liked Gulmi here.
Dislikes
1. The story didnt start from the end of s1 where they all met at the conference, so it felt like a huge chunk of time went by and we didnt know what happened. Suddenly Jojo and Hyeyoung were a couple.
2. Ep 1-4 were bad because it felt like Jojo was forcing herself to love Hyeyoung out of pity. And everyone was so obsessed with ringing each other's alarm.
3. The morale of the story didnt really had an impact to me because even though they talked about timing and volition, their actions didnt match the lesson.
I wanted to rate this lower but ep 5 and 6 weren't bad as i thought it would be.
Rating: 6/10

A Satisfying Finale Season
Okay so first of all, common reason why the ratings are so low because most of them are rooting for Sun Ho, I understand your frustration but obviously Hye Yeong deserves it too and I'm so happy that he is the one Kim Jojo choose.STORY
The unique thing about this drama is the Love Alarm concept, which were the reason why viewers are so into it in the first place. I really love how they manage to pull off the flow of the story and how they connected "The Ringing World" by Jojo to the app itself. The love alarm app is too cute but not really commendable to function in real life cause it's dangerous and manipulative to people feelings. Aside from the love alarm app, most stories are cliche. I really love the ending, looking back at season 1, all of my questions has finally been answered in this season.
ACTING
Kim So Hyun always slaying her role, actually she is my favorite Korean actress and no doubt that the role of Kim Jojo perfectly fits her.
Jung Ga Ram also captivates my attention because of his expressive facial expression. I love him and the way he delivers the character of Hye Yeong is excellent. Then Song Kang acting is good too.
Go Min Si, compare to the first season, her character here is kinda cute. I was really irritated to her on the first season but luckily the character development helps the shows to became light and take a rest from the love triangle drama.
CINEMATOGRAPHY
As expected for a Korean series, they never fails to amaze me on how beautiful they creates shots and produce films.
MUSIC
This season was full of English songs and I love it. The music gives more emotion and impact to the story and it is a well suited one so I really enjoyed listening to it while watching the show.
REASONS WHY HYE YEONG IS THE ONE DESERVES SO MUCH LOVE:
(Since S1 EP1, I am a proud Team Hye Yeong)
1. He has the characteristics to be a role model at such a young age. Although he was born from a poor family without a father, it didn't let this situation to be his flaws. Appeal to Pity doesn't found on him and that's why I like how they started the story with Hye Yeong working and studying at the same time. Such a hard-working man since then.
2. He is the first one to notice Jojo. But then Sun Ho appears on the scene and fall in love with the same girl, at the ending at some point I feel sad about Sun Oh and it shows that the love triangle in the drama is effective.
3. He is a man of words.
4. Caring, kind, and lovely.
5. Willing to wait for the one he love.
6. He is soooo cute!!
I'm late watching this because I was bored after the poor feedback from the show but thankfully I still watched this. To be honest, it was a good drama and I don't think that it deserves a poor rating from the people who only came here for romance. Like just look on how they tells the past of Kim Jojo and how it traumatize her, she overcome it in the end by accepting her own and stating to herself that she is worthy to be alive. There are too many lessons in the show too but yeah since it is a romance drama people are expecting to let their bet lead to be the end game for Jojo but since majority of them is team Sun Ho, the disappointments affects the ratings.
Lesson I learned from Love Alarm 2:
"Liking someone isn't something to be sorry for, and expressing yourself sincerely is the best thing you can do for yourself and others."
PS: It's really hard to tell someone that you like him/her and even though the world rules with Love Alarm, I didn't want to install it.

Best K-drama love story
I canβt express how much love I have for this drama because it depicts two very different realistic relationship. It also educates on how to love and what genuine love is. True love is about being there for one another during their vulnerable times, being able to open up and be honest and upfront to one another. Many have complained about the lack of chemistry between Jojo and Hye Yeong but for me the chemistry is overflowing and Jojo was clearly happier with Hye Yeong and their relationship exudes maturity, stability and calamity something Jojo wants and needs. I can never comprehend why this beautiful series including the actor are getting so much hate over the ending. Many have pointed out about the tardy plot line but in the end it all boils down to the fact that Jojo did not choose Sun Oh.The OST for this drama is so good that Iβm sad over the fact that they have not released a full album on streaming platforms. I have rewatched this drama for a total of 4 times and I still canβt get over this drama and Iβm really grateful for the production of this drama as it really broke the stereotype of kdramas.

DISAPPOINTING ENDING
Season one ended and Season 2 begun. All hope was on JoJo and Song Kang's character , Sun Oh getting back together.Even though there was no rhyme or reason why they broke up, I delved into Season 2 with high hopes.
Only to be brought down back to earth, flat on my face! Lol What a complete waste of time!
Just fastwarded the ending and got it over and done with!
Totally disappointed she ended up with Hye Yeong.
The writers were probably going for second male and female leads getting their guys, but to be honest, it didn't work.
So lead male, ends up with second female lead and lead female, ended up with second male lead. But this is where the disappointment cones in!
Plain and simple, didn't work. Leaving most with a very disappointed take on Love Alarm!
Sometimes sticking to tradition is always better!

Jojo's Growth Above All Else
I'm seeing way too many 1 and 2-star reviews of the second season just because people are upset at the endgame, which is totally unfair. The second season allowed Jojo to find her own happiness and make the choice to love and to be open. Hye Young's patience and understanding was rewarded, and Yuk Jo provided the comfort and safe space Sunoh needed. If I have a critique, it's actually that nothing came of the anti-love alarm movement and the app wasn't dismantled. But Jojo herself grew out of dependence on it and learned to trust her love without it, so that's good enough for me.

Not up to rhe expectations
Even in a real it is not okay to stay with a person because you pity them and think they are lonely. The FL didn't consider sunoh's feelings since the first episode in season 1.
I am not sure this season will be as watched as the first season was.
If you wanted to create a love story, it was better to keep the prince as prince instead of turning him into a frog in season 2.
Personally I didn't like this season and I am never gonna watch it again on my Netflix.
Who evem approved the script? There are so many points that are not clear, she breaks with sunoh with no clear reason.

Unpopular opinion
So, I don't write a lot of reviews, but this drama had way too many negative reviews, I couldn't resist. Now, JoJo and Hye Young pairing, though many may disagree, made much more sense. I will forever be grateful to the writers for making this into one of the rare dramas where the guy steadfastly and patiently in love with girl finally won her over. I loved their relationship, it was much more stable and mature, the kind of relationship that works in the long run.
The scene where the endgame couple said 'I love you' instead of letting the app ring felt much more genuine, after all machines are algorithm-based while our feelings are unpredictable. You cannot imagine the smile on my face and the tears in my eyes I had when this scene happened coz I was so happy for them. I like that how in the end, although JoJo and HyeYoung will never know, we get to see how many times JoJo's heart fluttered for HyeYoung.
Also, Sun Oh's ending line where he doesn't care if he makes the alarm ring but is just going to trust his feelings and keep on pursuing Yuk Jo, really brought through the message this drama wanted to convey.
In the end, it's all about our choices and feelings.
I really hope the negative reviews don't stop you from watching this drama β₯β₯β₯
