The plot synopsis is nearly identical:
- Both have a fox demon male lead trying to cultivate their powers through a bead
- Both involve the female lead accidentally consuming the bead
- Both male leads end up living with the female lead to try and get the bead back
- Both involve the female lead potentially dying from the bead if it gets removed/stays in her body for too long

Both dramas feature a ML that is a Nine-tailed fox though Tale of the Nine-Tailed focus more on serious drama rather than comedy.

Both dramas are about a fox demon who has cultivated for centuries but their goal is thwarted and they end up being involved with a human who becomes a romantic interest.

In both shows, the female lead lives alone, with an absent father, running away from his debts.
She gets to cohabitate with the non-human male lead. And while discovering his magical world, they met other supernatural people and help them.

Both dramas have a human FL who ends up "housing" the pearl/stone of the supernatural ML. While the ML tries to figure out how to get it back, the two end up living together.

Same ML, ML is hostile to FL first (want to kill her), they became partners in doing things then fall in love. Bailingtan is sad ending while White fox has happy ending

Supernatural being cohabiting with a human being and falling in love . Both explores the topic of how practical is to live with a partner who has very limited life span than you and will age faster.

The life of the White Fox is like another version of My Girlfriend is a Gumiho
= they have the same leading character which is a fox
= the second leading character having the spirit pearl (while on the MGIAG is called beads)
= fox chasing the other leading character to get back the spirit pearl

they have the same vibes as for me. when the first time I read the introduction of the life of the white fox, my girlfriend is a gumiho is the first thing that cames into my mind. at first, I thought it was a Chinese adaption from Korean version but they don't actually have the exact plot and so on.. but yeah~ if you liked watching this, you will also surely love watching My Girlfriend is a Gumiho

Both dramas portray a relationship between a nine-tailed fox and a human.
