I started to watch this drama with the idea that it could be similar to Itazura na Kiss. I could tell right away that it was much different, but liked it anyway. It was nice for the first few episodes, but after that, I became pretty impatient. The drama is slow in ways that I can't handle in any way, I didn't like the cast, the acting was dry, and overall, I just couldn't watch another minute of it.

I have watched all of the adaptions of Ita Kiss besides Playful Kiss, the Japanese 90' version, and the anime. What I can say is that this drama does not follow the original story line. Does that make this drama bad? No. In some instances it actually makes it better.

In fact, if you stick around for the full 32 episodes, the character development of Ou Hao Chen and Zao Zao is the best of all the versions. It's fully fleshed out and really does show the true meaning of Ita kiss if you want to delve deeper into it's hidden themes. There are some really poetic lines as well, especially the last arch of the show.

It is a bit long, I binge watched the first half in a week, however it began to loose it's momentum and my initial interest plummeted as the story progressed. Yet, the last 5 episodes made up for it as there was a change of tone.

Things I didn't like.

I don't usually watch C-dramas. When I do, I get off put by the dubbing. This show, similar to other C-dramas, is dubbed. It's not really obvious if you don't pay attention to it and it doesn't make the show less enjoyable.

I would watch this drama if you liked the rest of the Ita Kiss adaptions. It has a good level of romance, comedy and drama. Non of them over power the other. I loved that the second female lead had a redemption arch. The best part of this adaption is that it doesn't really follow the story in order, you get flashes of the story here and there but it has it's own direction.

Usually Chinese dramas stay away from cliches, if they stick with the cliche moments, it does get made fun of in a slap-stick humor kind of way.

The story is a cliche, but that's why is has a cult following.

Even though I did not give this drama a 9 or a 10, but I have rewatched this drama more than five times already.
Story: The basic plot is similar to Mischievious Kiss, but it is actually really different from it. I like how she has liked him for a long time and worked hard to achieve things to impress him and later even learns to do things for herself and realizes her passions and talents. This drama is super cliche but very cute.
Acting/Cast: I have no complaints except the female lead and second male lead. The second male lead has exaggrated acting and throws in a word in English from time to time but when he isn't as obvious as the female lead. The female lead is almost overly cute, but in her defense, she does really look cute and can act maturely when she needs to.
Music: I personally like the music. The music is mainly pop. Most songs are by Nylon Chen and By2, with the theme song being the female lead's song.
Rewatch value: Second lead syndrome will occur. The second male lead is always there for her, helping her get the love of her life, while only being treated as a best friend. I like how he is always saying he doesn't like her but when she needs help, he is there for her and gets jealous. This is super cliche, but something about the main male character makes me rewatch it over.

Okay. To start off, the reason why I chose 1.0 for the overall rating is because who Chi Zao Zao ended up choosing. I was so pissed. This drama should be listed as an Adaption of itazura na kiss and not a remake. It has a similar plot but it's so much more different. I DID CRY on episode 31. I swore to myself that if she ended up with who I didn't want her too, i'd rate this drama a 1.0. UGH. if you're into the INK plot you should def give this a try. Don't stop watching it after 3 episodes.Just finish it.

1) The reason I watched this:
I thought it was as sweet as ISWAK or itazura na kiss.
2) Storyline/Plot:
Very poor,no feelings.
Positive Points:
I can't think of any.

I dropped this drama after watching the 2 first episodes I usually like these kind of plots but this one is just well how to say it STUPID AND A WASTE OF TIME, let me explain there are no feelings in it the acting is so bad,you don't feel anything while watching it , it's just a waste of time so I don't really recommend it unless you want to lose your time.
